Following the mass slaughter in Paris of Charlie Hebdo journalists and artists, huge crowds and world leaders assembled in the city to express condemnation of the murders that were committed to shut down free speech in France.
However, the generally tough talk in defense of free speech tends to disappear in specific instances when people don’t want to be murdered in their office by some jihad-crazed Muslim immigrants.
The topic of attacks against free speech was a theme in a recent SunTV segment of JihadWatch between Michael Coren and Robert Spencer. Jihadists are determined to end Western criticism of Islam, aka blasphemy which can be punished by death according to Muslim scriptures.
COREN: These issues don’t direct involve terrorism, it’s not always the issue of terrorism, it’s our freedom of speech being eroded and decayed. Artwork violating Islamic blasphemy law removed from a Paris exhibition — this is not Egypt or Syria or Iraq or Saudi Arabia; this is France, the home of art, avant garde, expressionism, breaking artistic barriers. They’ve changed their policy because they’re frightened of what some Muslims might say?
SPENCER: Well, they’re afraid of what some Muslims might do, Michael, what they’re afraid of is that Islamic jihadis might strike them the way they struck at Charlie Hebdo. So what you have here is a victory of terrorism. The terrorists wanted France and the rest of the free world to conform to Islamic blasphemy law, and they showed that they are willing to kill to make that happen, and in response all too many Western institutions and activities like this one are curtailing their acts and conforming to Islamic blasphemy laws to avoid suffering the same fate. It is a collapse of courage on a massive scale.
COREN: What sort of artworks were so offensive?
SPENCER: There was an artwork of a woman who was stepping on a prayer mat with shoes and this is not allowed, shoes when you go into a mosque, and so this is considered to be so possibly disrespectful and inflammatory to Muslims that it was voluntarily removed by the people running the exhibit.
Winning through intimidation — that’s the Islam strategy. And it works because people know violence will follow if intimidation alone doesn’t do the trick.
Most of the reports we have heard about the jihadists in Europe have described small groups with a few members, but the conversation between JihadWatch’s Robert Spencer and SunTV’s Ezra Levant considers how the substantially increased numbers of hostiles mean a higher level of danger.
EZRA LEVANT: We know that thousands of European Muslims have gone to fight with the Islamic State terrorists in Iraq and Syria. Do you thinks it’s credible there are groups 20-30 as these reports say, a hundred terrorists in a single cell ready to attack in Europe? Do you think that’s credible?
ROBERT SPENCER: Yeah, absolutely. There’s not reason why not. Even European authorities are acknowledging today that there are between 2,000 and 5,000 what they call radicalized Muslim extremists, that is Muslims that are ready to wage jihad and wage it in Europe and they are in Europe now, and so could a hundred of them get together to plan a large-scale attack? There’s absolutely no reason why not. . .
LEVANT: In Canada some years ago we had the Toronto 18, so that was 18 Muslim extremists collaborating, training, working on their plans. The plans were intercepted but still, if 18 people would work together in Canada, which has a smaller Muslim population, I guess it is not unthinkable that you would have, but these terror cells reportedly are up to a hundred people. In my mind, I think of the damage done by two or three people working in concert in Paris last week. A hundred people, I mean that’s like a military battalion, that would be enough to take over a police station, that would be enough to take over a military base, that would certainly be enough to slaughter any Jewish synagogue or university, maybe even enough to get into the French parliament.
SPENCER: Yeah, Ezra, look, all these things are possibilities. Saying it’s a military battalion, I think that’s very well put because they do consider themselves to be in a war.
The terrorist arrests in Belgium on Thursday turned up police uniforms as well as the expected explosives and firearms. A Reuters report (Dozens held across Europe in Islamist suspect sweeps) quoted the prosecutor’s spokesman who explained, “This group was on the point of carrying out terrorist attacks aiming to kill police officers in the streets and in police stations.”
Below, Belgian police arrested hostile Muslims in the city of Verviers.
So the bad guys have bigger plans for Europe and elsewhere. The Toronto 18, mentioned by Ezra Levant, didn’t get much press in the US, but the group had a very ambitious plot in 2006 to invade Canada’s Parliament building and behead the Prime Minister, among other violence. In addition, some of the jihadists today have gotten military training in Syria and are therefore far more dangerous than the standard Allah gangsters of earlier plots. At any rate, continuing Muslim immigration is madness.
Unwise immigration has its costs, as the French have been learning the hard way. There have been three street attacks in as many days, with at least two Allah Ackbars. As a result, the government has placed 1000 armed soldiers in urban areas where people congregate.
Predictably, authorities claim that crazies are to blame for the attacks, despite the large Islamic clues. JihadWatch’s Robert Spencer suggests another strategy:
French authorities have described all the recent jihad attacks there by Muslims screaming “Allahu akbar” as manifestations of mental illness. So why are they deploying troops? How can soldiers fight mental illness? Shouldn’t they be deploying psychologists?
Below, soldiers patrol Paris near the Eiffel Tower, armed with traditional weapons, not anti-psychotic medications.
SunTV’s Michael Coren and John Robson discussed the increased danger from “low-rent fanatics” who drive vehicles into crowded public places. Coren observed, “Their tactics though, and I don’t say this with any relish, they are successful in that they are changing European societies. France is changing security, protection, the way people regard themselves. Now this is precisely what the far left, the Marxist left tried to do in the sixties and seventies, to provoke a free society into becoming less free.”
PARIS — After a string of attacks across France that have heightened concerns about Islamic militancy, Prime MinisterManuel Valls said Tuesday that hundreds of additional military personnel would be ordered onto the streets to reinforce a routine deployment of security forces.
“There is a terrorist threat in France,” Valls told a news conference in Paris. “It is undoubtedly the main challenge of our time.”
But, seeking to reassure a jittery nation unsettled by fears of militancy linked to the jihadist campaign in Syria and Iraq, Valls said that between 200 and 300 more military personnel would be deployed, in addition to 780 already on the streets as part of routine year-end precautions. He indicated that the soldiers’ mission would be to guard against copycat attacks inspired by the three assaults.
“Vigilance, calm, determination. These are the key points,” Valls said, speaking after successive attacks in the central town of Joue-Les-Tours on Saturday, in Dijon on Sunday and in Nantes on Monday. Continue reading this article
The recent interview of JihadWatch’s Robert Spencer by Michael Coren on SunTV was jam packed with topics, listed by video site AlohaSnackbar (links added by me):
The unfriendlies are energized because of their successes and the weakness of America and Europe.
One theme of the interview is how Muslim societies that earlier were friendly to religious minorities are now in the thrall of violent jihad, like Bosnia which once had a less bloodthirsty Islam in Europe, but is now becoming infected with the headchop frenzy.
Regarding the use of churches as prisons in Iraq:
ROBERT SPENCER: They’ve completely eradicated Mosul of the 2000-year-old Christian population that had been there, and seized all the churches. There were 45 Christian installations in Mosul that are now under the control of the Islamic State. They’ve deliberately chosen to convert the churches into prisons as a sign of their contempt for the faith that had been preached there as a sign that they believe in accord with the koran that Jesus was a Muslim father who taught Islam and that wasn’t taught in the churches where they twisted a hijacked version of the true teachings of the Muslim prophet Jesus.
The busybody in the Vatican thinks the first world is not rescuing enough “migrants” and accepting them into their nations. Pope Francis has already written his statement for World Refugee Day in January and the highly inclusive message was recently released, titled “A Church without frontiers, mother to all”.
For a taste, here is the final paragraph:
“Dear migrants and refugees! You have a special place in the heart of the Church, and you help her to enlarge her heart and to manifest her motherhood towards the entire human family. Do not lose your faith and hope! Let us think of the Holy Family during the flight in Egypt: Just as the maternal heart of the Blessed Virgin and the kind heart of Saint Joseph kept alive the confidence that God would never abandon them, so in you may the same hope in the Lord never be wanting. I entrust you to their protection and I cordially impart to all of you my Apostolic Blessing”.
You might think that the Pope would focus on endangered Christians, who are being removed from the Middle East by murderous Islamic jihad, demanding that non-Muslims “Convert or die.” But no, he apparently believes that all refugees should be welcomed in the West, including hostile Muslims who promise to destroy Christianity and the other non-Islamic religions.
As noted here earlier, refugees are largely created by Muslim wars: World Refugee Day: Jihad on the March. There is no reason to infect the West further with the Islamic pathology of violence and supremacism. Muslim refugees should go to other Islamic societies.
VATICAN CITY (CNS) — Pope Francis called for the “globalization of charity” through an international network to fight human trafficking and ensure the rights of migrants and refugees.
The pope’s words appeared in his annual message for the World Day of Migrants and Refugees, which in 2015 will be observed Jan. 18. The Vatican released the pope’s message, “Church Without Frontiers, Mother to All,” Sept. 23.
“Large numbers of people are leaving their homelands, with a suitcase full of fears and desires, to undertake a hopeful and dangerous trip in search of more humane living conditions,” the pope wrote. “Such migration gives rise to suspicion and hostility, even in ecclesial communities, prior to any knowledge of the migrants’ lives or their stories of persecution and destitution.”
Pope Francis called on all to honor the “biblical commandment of welcoming with respect and solidarity the stranger in need.”
“Jesus Christ is always waiting to be recognized in migrants and refugees, in displaced persons and in exiles, and through them he calls us to share our resources, and occasionally to give up something of our acquired riches,” he wrote. Continue reading this article
It’s not often that the New York Times and JihadWatch scholar Robert Spencer agree about an Islamic threat, but a Sunday front page headline was “U.S. Suspects More Direct Threats Beyond ISIS,” referring to Khorosan a newly coined Allah gang.
Khorosan is something of a knockoff from al Qaeda, which may feel upstaged by all the noisy media coverage about ISIS, as well as its success in grabbing territory. Every jihad bunch wants to be recognized as the baddest on the block, which is not good news for western civilization.
Spencer noted the symbology of Khorosan, saying,
“The name comes from a region in central Asia in ancient Iran, that is the subject of the stories that are told in Islamic tradition about Mohammed talking about the end times and saying that the black banners come from Khorosan, and you should go and follow them and you will find the person who is the caliph of Allah, that is the mahdi, the savior figure of Islam who will conquer and Islamize the world at the end of the world in this view.”
“So the idea is that this group is named after this region from which will come the jihadis that will herald the final Islamization of the whole world and the conquest of all the infidels and they are plotting apparently attacks in the United States against westerners high-profile targets, something on the order of 9/11 and they seem to apparently be here now, of course the same can be said for the Islamic State.”
WASHINGTON — As the United States begins what could be a lengthy military campaign against the Islamic State, intelligence and law enforcement officials said another Syrian group, led by a shadowy figure who was once among Osama bin Laden’s inner circle, posed a more direct threat to America and Europe.
American officials said that the group called Khorasan had emerged in the past year as the cell in Syria that may be the most intent on hitting the United States or its installations overseas with a terror attack. The officials said that the group is led by Muhsin al-Fadhli, a senior Qaeda operative who, according to the State Department, was so close to Bin Laden that he was among a small group of people who knew about the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks before they were launched. The director of national intelligence, James R. Clapper Jr., said on Thursday that “in terms of threat to the homeland, Khorasan may pose as much of a danger as the Islamic State.”
The CBS report was a little more straight-forward.
WASHINGTON — The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) may be dominating the headlines and stealing attention with its prolific propaganda, but CBS News’ Bob Orr reports, another group in Syria — one few have even heard of because information about it has been kept secret — is considered a more urgent concern.
Sources tell CBS News that operatives and explosives experts from Osama bin Laden’s old al Qaeda network may again present an immediate threat to the U.S. homeland.
At two dozen foreign airports, U.S.-bound passengers are undergoing enhanced security screening. Agents are searching for hidden explosives. Laptops and phones with dead batteries have been banned from flights.
Great Britain raised its national terror threat level, and the FBI is tracking American jihadists who may return home.
Sources say it’s due to the emerging threat in Syria, where hardened terrorists loyal to al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri are working on new, hard-to-detect bombs. Continue reading this article
How the nation of Churchill has fallen. Once a bastion of freedom and the ideals of Western civilization, the foolish embrace of multiculturalism has weakened its belief in foundational principles and opened its doors to barbaric enemies.

Over a thousand British Muslims are now fighting for the Islamic State, also known as ISIS. And more are joining every day.
“The key thing to realize about British fighters in Syria is they’re not there to take a back seat role. They are very much at the forefront of this conflict,” Shiraz Maher, an expert at the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation, said.
Exporter of Terror Britain is now a major exporter of terrorists, the result of multiculturalism. There have been warning signs for years.

Today, Britain has functioning Sharia courts and Sharia patrols enforcing Islamic law on the streets.

Britain is the number one example that Muslim immigration crushes free speech, because the local headchoppers claim their tender feelings are hurt when Islam is described accurately.
Anything that criticizes Islam is verboten, probably because the authorities fear the riots that occur whenever Muslims residing in Europe get angry about something. For example, the Muslims in Paris were ticked off about Israel invading Gaza and proceeded to rip up the pavement on streets. A couple weeks ago, Muslims rioted in French cities shouting “France is ours!” after Algeria won in the World Cup. And so it goes in diverse Islamified Europe.
CBN’s Dale Hurd interviewed Paul Weston and others about the state of free speech in Great Britain, and the answers are not positive.
Obviously, admitting Muslims as immigrants is the worst mistake a nation can make.
LONDON – America owes much of its freedom to its British heritage. But today, Britain is losing its freedom.
Many Americans were stunned when British authorities arrested Liberty Great Britain party leader Paul Weston in April for publicly reciting Winston Churchill’s criticism of Islam.
The calendar might say it’s 2014, but in Britain it’s starting to feel like George Orwell’s “1984” because “Big Brother” has decided that certain things can no longer be said.
Arrested over Churchill Weston quoted from Winston Churchill’s book, The River War, in which he wrote:
“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia (rabies) in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property – either as a child, a wife, or a concubine – must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the faith: all know how to die but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith.”
As a young officer, Churchill fought Muslim jihadists in Sudan and believed Islam was a dangerous religion.
Weston chose to publicly quote Churchill because he thought that in today’s politically correct Britain, comparing Islam to rabies–as Churchill did–would likely get him reported to police and arrested.
It did.
“I wanted to make the point that, if it’s really become so bad in this country that you can no longer quote the words of the greatest living Englishman, then we really need to look seriously at what we can still say in this country,” Weston said.
“We don’t have (America’s) First Amendment. And speech is rapidly becoming a no-go area if you talk about certain issues. We are living in an absolute madhouse in this country with our free speech laws at the moment,” he said. Continue reading this article
Nice chat between JihadWatch.org’s Robert Spencer and SunTV’s Michael Coren on Thursday, including how Boko Haram, the jihadist kidnappers of the Nigerian schoolgirls, has been busy killing people for years.
As Michael Coren observed about the trial, “It was such a situation, the ironies and the paradoxes, because a judge, not a bad person, here he is saying, ‘It cannot be true that Islam teaches violence, thus you have to be betraying Islam because if I believed that there was a difference between religions, then I’d be a frightened man; everything I believed about pluralism and multiculturalism would be a lie.’ I’m sorry sir but a lot of it is.”
Spencer responded that denial of that sort is in charge of political response to the Islamic threat. Furthermore, there has been a concerted effort on the part of government and media to hide the truth from the people.
No Pope has ever spoken to the Congress before, but the Speaker thinks that it’s fine to offer him a uniquely high honor (and violate the separation of church and state) even though the nation is still majority Protestant (52 percent, more than double the number of Catholics).
What is the purpose of the invitation? Is the Pope supposed to provide some sort of moral guidance to Americans? Really? The Vatican and its local outlets have been mired for decades in the pedophile priest sex abuse scandal, which is still going on: a Google News search (1 month) for Pedophile Priest on March 15 got 513 results. The Kansas City Diocese currently has more than two dozen sexual abuse lawsuits pending. Powerful (retired) Los Angeles Cardinal Roger Mahony has recently been more thoroughly outed as protecting pedophile priests, with the result that his “moral authority” has been eroded, according to the curiously friendly LA Times.
The situation at the Vatican is not much better, where its famously corrupt bank is facing reform from recent actions by the Pope, although the bank has been remarkably stubborn in its criminality. A recent Frontline episode, Secrets of the Vatican, included a jawdrop litany of various degeneracy and corruption.
Seriously, who thinks any official from the Catholic church can claim moral authority?
The new Pope has been on the job for a year and has gotten praise for his kindness and rejection of the church’s lavish riches. Many in the press loved his first foreign trip, a visit to Lampedusa the southerly island outpost of Italy, where he welcomed Africans fleeing their homelands in search of a European lifestyle.
Worse, the Pope is clearly naive about Islam, writing last fall that “authentic Islam and the proper reading of the Koran are opposed to every form of violence.”
Allowing the Pope to address Congress is another instance of history being disregarded, specifically the fact that many of America’s early settlers came to escape the tyranny of the Vatican. One example is the Protestant Salzburgers who came to Georgia after thousands were expelled from the homes in Germany by the Catholic archbishop. In addition, the better known Puritans came to escape the Church of England, which they thought retained too many elements of Catholicism.
Let’s hope Francis doesn’t lecture the Congress on amnesty for illegal aliens, but it’s a lead-pipe cinch that he will. Catholic elites believe that “Any family in economic need has a right to immigrate,” which is arguably more Marx than Jesus, but the men in cassocks never tire of demanding amnesty.
WASHINGTON — House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, extended a formal and open invitation Thursday to Pope Francis to address a joint meeting of Congress.
If the pontiff accepts, it would be unprecedented. No pope or religious leader that serves as a head of state has ever addressed Congress, according to the U.S. House Historian’s office.
“His address as a visiting head of state before a joint meeting of the House and Senate would honor our nation in keeping with the best traditions of our democratic institutions,” Boehner said in a statement. ” It would also offer an excellent opportunity for the American people as well as the nations of the world to hear his message in full.”
Boehner, who is Catholic, said Pope Francis has inspired millions of Americans with his “pastoral manner and servant leadership” to reflect on matters of human dignity, freedom and social justice.
“These principles are among the fundamentals of the American idea,” Boehner said, “and though our nation sometimes fails to live up to these principles, at our best, we give them new life as we seek the common good.” Continue reading this article
On the most recent JihadWatch segment on Canada’s SunTV, a major topic of Michael Coren and Robert Spencer was the sentencing of the two Islamic thugs to life in prison for the daytime slaughter of a British soldier on a London street.
On last May 22, two Africans ran down fusilier Lee Rigby as he walked on a street near the Royal Artillery Barracks, then they proceeded to hack the injured man to death with knives. (The loyal sons of Allah often shrink back from a fair fight, preferring uneven attacks.) While killer Michael Adebolajo (pictured) held a bloody meat cleaver, he lectured local passers-by about the Islamic principles for the cold-blooded murder.
As Judge Sweeney sentenced the two men, he took time to remark, “You each converted to Islam some years ago. Thereafter you were radicalised and each became an extremist, espousing views which, as has been said elsewhere, are a betrayal of Islam.”
Where do these non-Muslims get the idea that they know enough about Islam to define what the true expression of the religion is? Similarly, PM David Cameron earlier called the murder of Rigby a “betrayal of Islam.”
Delusional politicians in thrall to diversity, from George Bush to Tony Blair, don’t want to admit the level to which they have endangered their nations by allowing Muslim immigration to continue, so they spout the lie that Islam is a “religion of peace.”
According to the liberal pro-diversity establishment, the true Islam is a “religion of peace” which has been hijacked by a small minority of extremists to commit numerous acts of terrorist violence. Elites further cling to the belief that Muslims residing in the West have assimilated to modern values.
Maybe not so much, if a recent poll in Europe is to be believed. A survey in several countries that contacted Muslims about their beliefs revealed that opinions thought to be extreme and rare were actually common. Those ideas include hostility toward gay persons and Jews, plus the belief that the West is out to destroy Islam (while at the same time many Muslims work to institute the worldwide rule of sharia law):
Even the diversity-prone Washington Post took notice, though the scribbler bashed Geert Wilders and other Europeans who have accurately warned of jihadist danger admitted via foolish immigration policies.
One narrative about Muslim immigrants in Europe is that only a relatively small proportion holds views that are sometimes labeled as “fundamentalist.” Ruud Koopmans from the Wissenschaftszentrum in Berlin argues that this perspective is incorrect. He conducted a telephone survey of 9,000 respondents in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Austria, and Sweden and interviewed both Turkish and Moroccan immigrants as well as a comparison group of Christians.
His first finding is that majorities of Muslim immigrants believe that there is only one interpretation of the Koran possible to which every Muslim should stick (75 percent), and that religious rules are more important than the laws of the country in which they live (65 percent).
