An iconoclastic view of immigration and culture

Extent of Los Angeles Homelessness Is Noted by Tucker Carlson

Tucker Carlson is a California native, so he has a base line on which to judge the state. His recent visit produced a video of homeless tents set up on LA sidewalks that included a sense of alarm.

The pictures are reflected in a report published earlier this month finding that L.A.’s homelessness is the second […]

San Francisco Filth Tied to Dangerous Prop 47

It’s not news that San Francisco has become a liberal hell hole, characterized by murderous illegal aliens and filthy streets filled with drugged-out bums.

The city’s tourism industry has been pleading for a cleanup of the horrific conditions which is a reasonable request considering the traveller business brings in $9 billion annually. And now the first […]

Illegal Aliens Camp on Border Bridges as They Wait for Asylum in America

Tuesday’s New York Times front page included a photo of an illegal alien kid plunked down on a Mexico/US border bridge while waiting for the familia to push an asylum claim.

The foreigners have turned the walkway into a filthy homeless camp, although the Times tried to describe the chaos more delicately:

Sleeping on America’s Doorstep: A […]

New York Times Questions Wisdom of Open Borders — for Brazil

Who would have thought that national sovereignty would get a plug from the Gray Lady — on its front page, no less.

Sunday’s front page featured a photo of Venezuelans headed south to Brazil, where officials “have begun questioning the wisdom of open borders.”

The interior article reported on the turmoil created by thousands of Venezuelans fleeing […]

San Francisco Tourism Industry Pleads for Street Clean-up

It’s really amazing — in a bad way — how liberal government has turned America’s most beautiful city into a disgusting public pit of filth, excrement, psychotic homeless and drugs.

Tuesday’s front page of the San Francisco Chronicle had the rather mild photo below with a story headlined Clean up S.F.’s streets, tourist industry pleads.

Tucker Carlson […]

Update: California Is Still America’s Poverty Capital

It’s not new news that Democrat-run California has the worst poverty in the United States; the Census report to that effect was noted here in 2014.

Still, the fact that the home of Silicon Valley and of so many tech and natural riches can be poverty stricken needs to be repeated, so perhaps people can grasp […]

Tucker Carlson Blames Liberalism for Worsened Homelessness

The Fox News host was apparently shocked by seeing large tent cities during recent visits to New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington. He is right to point out the failure in liberal policies that ignore the poverty on display on public streets, and he is amazed there is so little concern among the […]

Laura Ingraham Examines California Homelessness, including the Effect of Illegal Aliens

Thanks to the Ingraham Angle show for pointing out the often overlooked problem of spreading tent cities of homeless in California. It’s painful to see the increased human suffering in one of the richest areas on earth, and Laura Ingraham nails the governmental failure.

Below, the city of Los Angeles called for a crackdown on homeless […]

In Los Angeles Koreatown, Poverty Lurks beneath the Success

Los Angeles Times’ recent spotlight on increasing diverse homelessness has been a reminder of how open borders have turned the United States from a middle class society into the flophouse for the world. Foreigners enter illegally to obtain an array of freebies such as free-to-them medical care, even ultra-expensive procedures like organ transplants. The story […]
