Drunk-Driving Illegal Alien Mexican Kills Indiana Man, a Former Missionary

David Kriehn died early Monday morning when a drunk-driving Mexican woman smashed into his car, causing it to flip several times into a ditch. He was on his way home from work after closing up the restaurant which he managed.

Grandfather David Kriehn, 66, graduated from Northwestern University, received a Masters of Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary and had worked as a missionary.

The Mexican, Elizabeth Vargas-Hernandez, is a resident of Indianapolis and has never had a license to drive.

She exactly the sort of arrogant foreigner President Trump wants out of the country so American citizens won’t die in preventable crimes. And drunk driving illegal aliens have been very deadly.

Remember that in Mexico, drunk driving has a positive value in the national culture.

David Kriehn’s killer sounds like she was blotto drunk in a car with several drunk pals. Hopefully Indiana will throw the book at her.

Noblesville man killed in I-465 crash caused by suspected drunk driver, WTHR, February 13, 2017

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – An Indianapolis woman believed to be in the country illegally is accused of driving drunk this morning and killing a Noblesville man.

The crash occurred on the city’s northwest side on Interstate 465 near Michigan Road.

The victim is a former missionary. The suspect, state police investigators believe, entered the country illegally.

The high-speed collision happened around 2:30 a.m. Monday, sending David Kriehn’s car careening off the interstate and into a ditch. Investigators say it rolled over several times, killing the 66-year-old father and grandfather.

Co-workers were shocked and tearful.

“Dave was a gentle, caring man,” Harry Straut said. “A good person. The guy you liked to hang out with as well as work with.”

As a manager at famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que, Kriehn earned a reputation as a leader who put others ahead of himself. According to the company’s operation manager, Kriehn closed the restaurant Sunday night, then worked into the early morning, completing an inventory, before heading to his home in Noblesville.

“Dave was an inspirational leader,” Straut explained. “He spend much of his life before entering the restaurant industry being a missionary.” Continue reading this article

New York Mayor Says Drunk Driving Is Not a Serious (aka Deportable) Offense

It is unconscionable for New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio to be so dangerously ignorant about drunk driving. During a discussion with CNN’s Jake Tapper about the city’s sanctuary status, the mayor asserted that drunk-driving illegal aliens are not a danger to citizens.

DE BLASIO: So, we differentiate. Anyone who is violent, anyone who is a serious threat to society, we agree we will work with the federal partners and they get deported. But we are not going to see, with a half-a-million undocumented people here — this would be true for 11 to 12 million undocumented folks in this country, the vast majority of whom are law- abiding — we are not going to see families torn apart over a very minor offense.

TAPPER: But is grand larceny or drunk driving a very minor offense?

DE BLASIO: Drunk driving that does not lead to any other negative outcome, I could define as that.

The CNN show transcript is here.

The problem is that habitual drunk drivers don’t kill anyone — until they do. Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) reports that the average drunk driver has driven drunk 80 times before the first arrest. In 2015, 10,265 people died in alcohol-impaired crashes, up by nearly 300 from the year before.

Of the Americans killed by illegal aliens, probably the largest group is the category of citizens killed by drunk-driving illegal aliens. Here are just a handful:

Below, 21-year-old Sarah Root was killed in Omaha just a day after her college graduation by one of Obama’s protected DREAMers, reported here: ”Drunk Driving Illegal Alien Kills Woman, Is Bailed Out and Disappears.”

Mesa, Arizona, Police Sergeant Brandon Mendoza was killed by a head-on collision with a previously arrested but not deported drunk-driving illegal alien with a blood alcohol level of .24 percent.

Young Alabama couple Tad Mattle and Leigh Anna Jimmerso were killed by a drunk-driving illegal alien with a blood-alcohol content more than three times the legal limit and who had at least four previous DUIs.

Houston Officer Kevin Will died when a drunk Mexican crashed through a police barrier at 90 mph and hit Will as he was standing on the roadside investigating an accident.

Three-year-old Marten Kudlis was run down in a Colorado ice cream shop by a 16-times-arrested drunk-driving illegal alien. Two adult women were also killed when the truck smashed into the building.

Best friends Tessa Tranchant, 16, left, and Allison Kunhardt, 17, died when their car, stopped at a light, was hit by a blotto-drunk illegal alien, who had three previous alcohol-related convictions but was not deported.

There are many more stories of preventable drunk-driving deaths caused by illegal aliens, but I’ll stop.

Massachusetts Sanctuary Mayors Are Called Out for Violating Federal Law

A couple of Bay State mayors have been waving their diversity flag and doubling down in support of sanctuary, like Boston’s Mayor Martin Walsh who promises a safe space for foreign invaders in his city’s city hall:

Sanctuary Suites: Defiant mayor vows to harbor illegals at Boston City Hall, Boston Herald, January 26, 2017

“If people want to live here, they’ll live here,” Walsh said yesterday. “They can use my office. They can use any office in this building. Any place they want to use. They’ll be able to use this building as a safe space.”

Why do liberal mayors think immigration to America is a right? Should the billions of poor people on the planet be permitted to move here just because they want to?

The mayors say they want to keep their communities safe, but crime victims of illegal aliens see it differently because sanctuary cities are less safe for American citizens.

Milford, Massachusetts, resident Maureen Maloney objected to the arrogant mayors because she lost her son Matthew Denice when a drunk-driving illegal alien dragged him to death. The Ecuadoran alien, Nikolas Guaman, had a long rap sheet but was protected by Massachusetts’ sanctuary policy, allowing him to remain and eventually kill 23-year-old Matthew.

Below, in 2014 Maureen Maloney gave a victim’s statement at the sentencing of Guaman for manslaughter.

In the current matter of sanctuary, Maloney said her family’s loss will never go away.

Grieving mom calls out pols grandstanding on sanctuary issue, Boston Herald, January 27, 2017

Any grandstanding mayor who actually harbors illegal immigrants should be prosecuted by the feds, said the grieving mother of a Milford man killed by a motorist who faces deportation after his jail sentence is up. . .

“The ripple effect of losing Matthew is not just the pain and suffering of me and his immediate family,” she stressed. “He had a longtime girlfriend. They were planning on getting married. He had a huge circle of friends and extended relatives. The ripple effect just goes on and on and on.

“I hear them saying that we’re separating these (illegal immigrant) families. Well, my family has been permanently separated. And I can’t call heaven and I can’t visit heaven. I have to go visit a grave,” she said. “The illegals do have other options. My son has no options. He had a very promising life, and it’s gone. There’s no other way to put it.”

She recently spoke on a Boston radio show:

Sheriff Thomas Hodgson of Bristol County Massachusetts won’t accept the liberal do-gooder blather about protecting illegal aliens. He was interviewed on Fox News on Sunday and discussed the illegal aspect of sanctuary policy.

ED HENRY: You might call it a Sanctuary City Showdown. Some mayors are speaking out after president Trump’s executive move to strip funding for sanctuary cities.

BOSTON MAYOR MARTIN WALSH: You are safe in Boston. We will do everything lawful in our power to protect you.

SOMERVILLE MASS. MAYOR JOSEPH CURTATONE: Somerville will stand with you regardless of your race, creed, color, gender. . . We know what makes America great. Continue reading this article

President Trump Outs Illegal Alien Crime

In an executive order issued on Wednesday, President Trump directed the Homeland Security Department to release periodic lists of crimes committed by illegal aliens residing in sanctuary cities:

Executive Order: Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States, Whitehouse.gov, January 25, 2017

(b)  To better inform the public regarding the public safety threats associated with sanctuary jurisdictions, the Secretary shall utilize the Declined Detainer Outcome Report or its equivalent and, on a weekly basis, make public a comprehensive list of criminal actions committed by aliens and any jurisdiction that ignored or otherwise failed to honor any detainers with respect to such aliens.

One of the more appealing aspects to the candidacy of Donald Trump was the seriousness with which he approached illegal alien crime and his obvious compassion toward families who had lost a loved one in crimes that would have been prevented by real borders. Relatives of crime victims were invited to speak at Trump’s Republican convention.

Last April, Jamiel Shaw, standing at the podium, told a Trump campaign audience about the 2008 murder of his teenaged son who was shot and killed near his home by an exceptionally violent illegal alien gangster who nevertheless had been released onto Los Angeles streets instead of deported. Others on the stage are holding pictures of their relatives also killed by unlawful foreigners: one is Sabine Durden who is standing closest to Donald Trump.

Although this information should absolutely be made public — because the extent of illegal alien crime has routinely been hidden by authorities — it’s unclear how much effect the information will have. In certain locales, protecting illegal alien criminals is practically a religion. In San Francisco, the murder of Kate Steinle by a career alien criminal deported multiple times caused officials no regret about their sanctuary policy at all. In fact, the city doubled down on its criminal shielding program because apparently immigration diversity is the peak value of liberals.

Interestingly, during a KQED radio show on Thursday discussing sanctuary in San Francisco, Angela Chan (senior staff attorney for the Asian Law Caucus) condemned the “hysteria” surrounding the Steinle killing, which she called a “horrible tragedy” rather than a preventable crime. Funny how citizens’ deeply felt concern about injustice and public safety looks like “hysteria” to leftist political operatives.

Trump creates name-and-shame list to embarrass sanctuary cities, By Stephen Dinan, Washington Times, January 26, 2017

President Trump on Wednesday ordered the Homeland Security Department to begin releasing a name-and-shame list of sanctuary cities, listing the specific crimes such as murder or robbery committed by those who have been released back into their communities under the sanctuary policies.

That was one of a number of less-noticed but potentially far-reaching moves tucked inside two new executive orders erasing decades of previous immigration enforcement policy and replacing it with the Trump plan, which calls for aggressive enforcement of existing laws.

Border Patrol and interior enforcement agents have been unshackled from the limits imposed by former President Barack Obama, as Mr. Trump said he wants to see them doing the jobs they were hired for.

He said he wants to enlist those local police and sheriff’s offices that are eager to enforce immigration law, and will punish those that throw up roadblocks — including the new name-and-shame list.

Some 279 cities and counties refused to cooperate on at least some deportations in 2016, accounting for 2,008 immigrants who were shielded, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Each of those immigrants’ convictions will now be publicly listed so residents can see the level of crimes committed by those released into their communities, under the Trump orders.

Analysts said that list could help rally internal opposition to sanctuary cities, which are already rallying to defy Mr. Trump. Continue reading this article

Parents Miss Daughter Killed by Illegal Alien, Especially at Christmas

The holidays are tough for families when there is an empty spot at the table, particularly so when that person was killed in a preventable crime by an illegal alien. The Washington Times reminded its readers of the costs of open borders on its Friday front page:

sarahrootfamilyfacesadchristmas-wtfpdec23

Below, 21-year-old Sarah Root was killed in Omaha just a day after her college graduation by one of Obama’s protected DREAMers, reported here: ”Drunk Driving Illegal Alien Kills Woman, Is Bailed Out and Disappears.”.

Candidate Donald Trump made a point of remembering crime victims of illegal aliens during his campaign, sometimes inviting parents onstage with him to speak. He remarked at the GOP convention in his acceptance speech, “Of all my travels in this country, nothing has affected me more deeply than the time I have spent with the mothers and fathers who have lost their children to violence spilling across our border.”

So crime victim families will soon have a friend in the White House, unlike now. The Roots work to keep Sarah’s killer in the news in hopes of his eventual apprehension, and they are confident the Trump administration will initiate policies that will help prevent other illegal aliens from murdering innocent Americans.

Daughter killed by illegal alien in tragedy without justice

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa — There was a time when Scott Root and Michelle Wilson-Root looked forward to Christmas, but not this year.

Their 21-year-old daughter, Sarah Root, was killed Jan. 31 by Eswin Mejia, an illegal immigrant from Honduras accused of plowing into the back of her vehicle as he street-raced while drunk in Omaha, Nebraska. He skipped bail. Nearly a year later, he remains a fugitive.

For the Roots, this is the first Christmas without her, their first since the tragedy put them on a path with President-elect Donald Trump, who brought national attention to the case as part of his call during the election campaign for a crackdown on illegal immigration.

The Roots and their 25-year-old son, Scott Jr., met with and campaigned for Mr. Trump in Iowa. His Nov. 8 victory was their victory, too. That doesn’t make Christmas any easier.

“It’s going to suck,” said Mr. Root, his blank face a contrast to the cheerful green and red decorations at the local Starbucks. “Just like Thanksgiving sucked. Empty.”

It’s not hard to see why Sarah Root’s death resonated with Mr. Trump. The day before she was killed, Sarah graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Bellevue University, where she carried a 4.0 GPA while working full time at Walgreens.

The 19-year-old driver, also known as Edwin Mejia, had a blood alcohol content of 0.241, three times the legal limit, when his truck rear-ended her Oldsmobile Bravada SUV. Despite Mejia’s history of missing court dates, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement refused to put a hold on him.

Charged with vehicular homicide, Mejia posted the required $5,000 of the $50,000 bond set by a Nebraska judge and fled. He has been added to ICE’s most-wanted list, although there is no word on his whereabouts.

The case soon came to symbolize a perfect storm of judicial and bureaucratic indifference. Even ICE Deputy Director Daniel Ragsdale acknowledged in a letter to Iowa and Nebraska Senate Republicans that “Edwin Mejia should be in custody.”

“The killer of our child is gone,” said Mr. Root. “The judge has no accountability. The federal government, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said he wasn’t an enforcement priority. Now he’s on the top 10 of the ICE list, so he is a priority, but there’s no federal money to catch him. Zero.”

From a political standpoint, the Roots were in the right place at the right time — Iowa, in the middle of a Republican presidential primary.

They connected with Mr. Trump in February and threw their support behind him as he bashed the Obama administration for allowing Mejia to slip through the cracks, first after he entered country as an unaccompanied minor in 2013 and then for refusing to detain him.

“I’ve met Sarah’s beautiful family. But to this administration, their amazing daughter was just one more American life that wasn’t worth protecting,” Mr. Trump said in his July 21 acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention. “One more child to sacrifice on the altar of open borders.” Continue reading this article

Busy First Day Is Forecast for Next President

President Trump is going to have a huge mess to clean up after Obama’s final weeks of nation-wrecking sabotage, particularly in the immigration arena. As has been reported, Obama promoted open borders by reclassifying “asylum” so Central Americans escaping poverty can say the magic words about credible fear at home and thereby get welcomed as asylees even though they are just economic fleebags.

The influx of illegal aliens from Central America crossing the border has surged over the final months of Obama’s permissive rule.

centralamericansborderapprehensionsnov2015-16

In addition, the sanctuary cities harboring lawbreaking foreign criminals are signaling their faux virtue rather strenuously, and some claim they will provide millions of taxpayer dollars to lawyer up the local illegals. Hopefully President Trump will utilize the existing kill switch on sanctuary city funding on Day #1.

Democrats didn’t learn much from the election, but they did discern that their liberal mumbo-jumbo does not work on many traditional citizens in mid-America, so even more millions of big-government-favoring foreigners are needed for Dems to succeed in their nefarious schemes. As a result, Obama is herding in the maximum number of illegal aliens to vote the D-ticket in the next election and beyond. The Democrats are likely to become even more strident in their demands for increased immigration to grow their voter rolls.

BILL HEMMER: A major showdown looming now on immigration: from Los Angeles, William La Jeunesse.

WILLIAM LA JEUNESSE: Right now, Bill, there are two big issues: asylum and sanctuary cities. So let’s start at the border. Right now agents are on pace to apprehend almost 600,000 illegal immigrants. That is the highest in eight years, led by the continued surge of Central Americans. In one month agents apprehended 7,000 children, 15,000 families — almost double last year, but instead of being sent home, the majority are allowed to stay, treated by this president as victims of trafficking and persecuted refugees. Where previously, administrations saw them as economic immigrants, not entitled to stay. Right now ICE is spending $100 million a year, almost $700 per immigrant, flying women and children around the US to stay with family. Until the policy changes, experts say the surge won’t stop. Father: My Son Was Murdered in Cold Blood by an Illegal Alien Criminal

One of the early problems facing President Trump after his inauguration will be dealing with sanctuary cities where illegal aliens including violent criminals are protected from prosecution and deportation by liberal governments. Many are doubling down with their pro-crime policy, most egregiously San Francisco, responsible for the preventable deaths of four people during the last decade because of the city protecting dangerous illegal aliens. Certainly President Trump can cut millions of dollars in federal funding to get their attention. But some liberal cities seem really stuck on the upside-down idea that protecting violent foreign criminals from law enforcement is somehow a 21st century version of human rights. Go figure.

Trump spoke often during his campaign about the crime victims of illegal aliens, including in his acceptance speech where he remarked, “Of all my travels in this country, nothing has affected me more deeply than the time I have spent with the mothers and fathers who have lost their children to violence spilling across our border.”

There are likely to be more of those tragic stories yet to come because of so many criminal aliens simply released from prison onto American streets during the current administration. A recent number for criminal aliens on the loose is 820,000: 84 percent with felonies, serious misdemeanors which sounds low after eight years of Obama immigration anarchy, but it’s bad enough.

Sanctuary policies cause pain and death to innocent Americans who deserve better treatment from their government. One example is the murder of 25-year-old Spencer Golvach by a dangerous illegal alien criminal on a killing spree.

Below is Spencer Golvach, before he was shot in the head as he sat in his truck waiting for the light to change in Houston.

spencergolvachkilledbyillegalalien

Spencer’s father Dan appeared on Fox Business recently to remind Americans of the danger from open borders.

ELIZABETH MacDONALD: First the sanctuary city of Chicago proposed a $1 million legal defense fund to protect illegal immigrants, never asking the taxpayers whether they’re worried about Chicago turning into a magnet for illegal criminals. Now San Francisco doing five times that amount, proposing a $5 million illegal immigrant defense fund. San Francisco town supervisor defending the proposal saying “We are proud to be a sanctuary city. . . we’re going to invest the resources needed to make sure that the 44,000 undocumented people who live in the city get legal representation if they’re taken into court.”

My next guest’s 25-year-old son Spencer Golvach was shot and killed by an illegal immigrant who had been deported already four times. This illegal immigrant hid in a sanctuary city. Spencer’s father Dan Golvach joins me now. Dan, it’s an outrage and it’s a disgrace what happened with the loss of your son. Quickly, can you please tell the viewers what happened.

SPENCER GOLVACH: January 31st of last year my son Spencer was sitting at a red light less than a mile from his home in the neighborhood I grew up in northwest Houston, and a four-time deported illegal alien that had done five years in prison for attempted murder and had a 15-year rap sheet just pulled up next to Spencer and randomly blew his brains out. He moved on down the road and shot and killed another motorist and then shot yet another motorist and then his last deed was an attempt to kill a Harris County Sheriff’s Department Deputy and fortunately the deputy was able to take him out. Sanctuary San Francisco Plans Redirecting Funds for Legal Protection of Illegal Aliens

Nothing demonstrates the moral depravity of liberalism more than its support for sanctuary zones where illegal alien criminals are safeguarded, and public safety for law-abiding citizens is threatened as a result.

Many of the sanctuary cities are doubling down on their illegal alien protection in the face of President-elect Trump’s pledge to slash their federal funds. San Francisco’s sanctuary policy is particularly guilty, having caused the deaths of four innocent citizens, namely Kate Steinle last year and three members of the Bologna family in 2008.

Don’t liberals say they would destroy the Second Amendment if it would save just one life? Sanctuary policy is a proven killer and violates federal statutes, yet the left loves the border violators more than law and safety.

San Francisco anti-sovereignty Supervisor David Campos led a rally on Tuesday to promote state-sponsored anarchy. Local station KTVU covered the event and included comments from Rick Oltman, a friend of law and borders:

Rick Oltman, pictured below, was an organizer of the pro-sovereignty rally in 2015 on the San Francisco pier where Kate Steinle was murdered by a five-times-deported illegal alien criminal.

Donald Trump sounds serious about cutting federal dollars going to sanctuary zones: his GOP convention heard three testimonies from crime victims of illegal aliens, and he remarked in his acceptance speech, “Of all my travels in this country, nothing has affected me more deeply than the time I have spent with the mothers and fathers who have lost their children to violence spilling across our border.”

Below, candidate Trump invited crime victims of illegal aliens to speak at a campaign rally in Costa Mesa last April. Jamiel Shaw Sr., at the podium, discussed the murder of his son by a particularly violent illegal alien gangster who had been coddled under Los Angeles’ Special Order 40, an extreme sanctuary measure.

San Francisco Supervisor Campos (a former illegal alien himself) now is working to allocate $5 million in taxpayer funds to provide legal representation for illegal aliens residing in the city, which must be cheerful news for immigration lawyers.

SF Supervisor Campos to seek funding to block deportations, San Francisco Chronicle, November 28, 2016

Supervisor David Campos on Tuesday plans to propose spending $5 million to provide legal representation to immigrants living in the country without documentation who face deportation. It’s the first test of whether San Francisco officials will stick to their pledge to remain a sanctuary city when Donald Trump becomes president.

Campos spent much of Monday huddled in his office with Public Defender Jeff Adachi, immigration advocates and others to hammer out details. Campos is hopeful there will be a vote on the legislation by the Board of Supervisors by Dec. 13, his last scheduled meeting before being termed out of office and less than six weeks before Trump’s inauguration.

The president-elect has vowed to deport up to 3 million undocumented immigrants who have criminal records and decide later what to do with the rest of the estimated 11 million immigrants in the country without legal standing. He has also pledged to strip all federal funding from sanctuary cities like San Francisco, which shield such immigrants from federal immigration agents. In San Francisco, that could total $1 billion a year.

Immediately after Trump’s election, Mayor Ed Lee and the Board of Supervisors were adamant that San Francisco would remain a sanctuary city despite Trump’s threats. There are an estimated 44,000 immigrants living in the city without proper documentation.

Campos’ legislation is the first concrete proposal to his fellow politicians to make good on that pledge. Backfilling a $1 billion loss of federal funds could be a challenge as city officials grapple with funding shortfalls caused by higher-than-expected pension costs and the failure of a proposed sales tax increase on the November ballot.

“This is part and parcel of being a sanctuary city, making sure we are prepared for what we know is coming, what the president-elect has said is coming,” said Campos, who as a child entered the country illegally with his family from Guatemala, but is now a U.S. citizen. “You can’t on the one hand say you’re going to defend sanctuary and then on the other hand not take concrete steps to make that happen.” Continue reading this article

America’s Attorney General Jeff Sessions Would Re-institute Immigration Enforcement

We know that Democrats’ immediate reaction to anyone who disagrees with them is to shriek “Racist!” However, America’s Senator Jeff Sessions being named as the Attorney General does pose a genuine threat to the liberal agenda of turning America into a diverse socialist hellhole — thus the overwrought howls.

Democrats may have learned from the election that traditional Americans cannot be browbeaten into choosing the leftward path, so Dems will need to import even more culturally big-government immigrants like Mexicans to achieve their goals. So the Ds appear to think, judging from their current hysteria.

A genuinely tough immigration enforcer as AG is a threat to Democrat dreams of dominance in politics, and Jeff Sessions must therefore be destroyed.

Interestingly, on Monday Senator Sessions’ one-time Legislative Counsel William Smith appeared on Fox News to discuss his experience of working with the Alabama Republican. Smith was the first African-American Chief Counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee and was hired by the senator. Smith explained how Sessions “prosecuted the head of the KKK, made sure that he received the death penalty [in a murder case]; he desegregated schools in Alabama and I think you might have a picture of John Lewis and Jeff Sessions walking hand-in-hand across the Edmund Pettus Bridge.”

Below, Senator Jeff Sessions joined civil rights icon John Lewis and others for the 50th Anniversary of “Bloody Sunday,” in Selma to march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge, known for violence against civil rights marchers in 1965.

jeffsessionspettusbridge50anniversay

It’s curious to see black American leaders (particularly media elites like Al Sharpton) gripe about the nation’s most dedicated immigration enforcer, when a shutdown of the open border would benefit blacks probably more than any other group. Deporting the Mexican job thieves would open many blue collar occupations in construction and similar industries like home renovation. But black leaders care little for actual improvement in the lives of the people they claim to represent, judging from their policies.

As U.S. Civil Rights Commissioner Peter Kirsanow has explained, “competition from immigration accounts for approximately 40 percent of the 18-percentage point decline in black employment in recent years… That’s nearly a million jobs lost by blacks to immigrants.”

Columnist Byron York calls the Sessions nomination a “nightmare” for Democrats because he is the “most determined, and most knowledgeable opponent of comprehensive immigration reform” and is the perfect person to obliterate Obama’s anti-America non-enforcement strategy.

Byron York: Attorney General Jeff Sessions is Democrats’ nightmare, Washington Examiner, November 20, 2016

President-elect Trump’s transition team knew that nominating Jeff Sessions for Attorney General would set off controversy. Democrats and their allies in the press have at key times in the past called Sessions a racist — they’re now using the Alabama senator’s full name, Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, to heighten the Old South effect — and now, as they oppose Trump at nearly every turn, they’ve turned to race again.

Here’s why the effort to stop Sessions is likely to intensify as his confirmation hearings near. Sessions is the Senate’s highest-profile, most determined, and most knowledgeable opponent of comprehensive immigration reform. Democrats are particularly anxious about immigration because of the unusually tenuous nature of President Obama’s policies on the issue. Those policies can be undone unilaterally, by the new president in some cases, and by the attorney general and head of homeland security in other cases. There’s no need for congressional action — and no way for House or Senate Democrats to slow or stop it.

There are extensive, and in some cases, strict immigration laws on the books, passed by bipartisan majorities of Congress. Obama wanted Congress to change those laws. Congress declined. So Obama stopped enforcing provisions of the law that he did not like. A new administration could simply resume enforcement of the law — a move that by itself would bring a huge change to immigration practices in the United States. No congressional approval needed.

There are laws providing for the deportation of people who entered the U.S. illegally. Laws providing for the deportation of people who entered the U.S. illegally and later committed crimes. Laws for enforcing immigration compliance at the worksite. Laws for immigrants who have illegally overstayed their visas for coming to the United States. Laws requiring local governments to comply with federal immigration law. And more.

Many of those laws have been loosened or, in some cases, completely ignored by the Obama administration. A Trump administration would not need to ask Congress to pass any new laws to deal with illegal immigration. If there was a presidential order involved in Obama’s non-enforcement, Trump could undo it, and if there were Justice Department directives involved, Sessions could undo them, and if there are Department of Homeland Security directives involved, the still-to-be-nominated secretary could undo them.

“It will be possible for the Trump administration to dramatically increase enforcement of immigration laws by using what is now on the books,” notes Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies, which advocates reducing immigration into the U.S. Continue reading this article

San Francisco’s Sanctuary Policy Caused the Deaths of Four People: Now the City Is Doubling Down to Protect It

It’s amazing that liberals believe they are superior moral beings, while at the same time they don’t mind the carnage that results from their beloved policy of sanctuary cities for illegal aliens, including violent criminals.

Take Francisco Sanchez, the confessed killer of Kate Steinle whom he shot as she strolled with her father on a San Francisco pier. Sanchez had been deported five times to Mexico, but said he returned to San Francisco because of its sanctuary policy.

Kate Steinle was shot dead by an illegal alien as she walked on Pier 14, a popular spot for both locals and tourists.

In 2008, another illegal alien crime shocked San Francisco — the murders of Tony Bologna and his two sons Michael and Matthew.

Below, Tony Bologna and his two sons were shot to death by an MS-13 gangster a short distance from their home in San Francisco as they returned from a family picnic.

The shooter, Salvadoran Edwin Ramos was clearly a dangerous character, a known gang member who had earlier been arrested for assaulting a passenger on a bus and attempting a robbery of a pregnant woman, yet he was not deported because San Francisco shielded him.

But since Donald Trump, a strong enforcer of immigration law, has been elected president, San Francisco is determined to protect the foreign lawbreakers rather than defend the public safety of the citizens. It’s not like there’s no cost to this liberal insanity: San Francisco has four preventable deaths on its conscience — if it had one.

Plus, open borders and morally bankrupt cities don’t just attract moochers and gangsters from south of the border, they also entice America’s jihadist enemies. Former INS agent Michael Cutler made that point during a Newsmax interview from November 15:

“Look at the warnings that we’ve had from John Brennan, the head of the CIA, from James Comey, the head of the FBI, saying that ISIS was abetting terrorists in the refugee flows and finding other means to come here and kill us, and we’ve seen it time and again. . . These are failures of the immigration system and it’s the immigration laws and our borders that our first and last line of defense.”

The Chronicle’s big story includes not only the predictable baloney of sob stories, but it also notes the desire of the Public Defender for $5 million in taxpayer funds to legally protect illegal aliens — so citizens would again be forced to pay for their dispossession and decreased safety.

S.F. scrambles to protect sanctuary city status, San Francisco Chronicle, November 20, 2016

Just days after Donald Trump was elected America’s next president, Mayor Ed Lee stood with a line of top city officials on City Hall’s grand marble staircase to promise that San Francisco will uphold its 27-year-old sanctuary city laws protecting people who are in the country illegally.

“We have been and always will be a city of refuge, a city of sanctuary, a city of love,” Lee told the crowd gathered for a unity ceremony on Monday. “We promise to be a city that’s always welcoming. There are no walls in our city!”

Other mayors, including those in Portland, Ore., Seattle and Chicago, made the same pledge in the days after the election. Trump’s top immigration adviser, Kris Kobach, promptly fired back. A co-author of Arizona’s controversial 2010 immigration law, Kobach tweeted “End #SanctuaryCities” and shared part of an interview he had done on Fox News.

“They’re just thumbing their noses at federal law and putting their own citizens in danger,” Kobach said of mayors like Lee. Trump, he said, “has made it very clear he cares about the victims of these illegal alien sanctuary cities.”

On Friday, it was announced that Trump’s pick for attorney general is Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, who has opposed nearly every immigration bill to come before the Senate in the past 20 years and has opposed even some legal immigration programs.

Trump has pledged to immediately deport millions of immigrants once he takes office in January. He has also said he will strip sanctuary cities and counties, which number more than 300, of all federal funding if they continue to shield immigrants who did not come to the country legally.

In San Francisco, which receives about $1 billion in federal funding each year, city officials say they know they must quickly turn their pledges into concrete action. Among the efforts expected or possible:

• Public Defender Jeff Adachi wants $5 million annually for his office to provide representation for people facing deportation — legal aid they are not currently guaranteed. He said he hopes to have a proposal before the Board of Supervisors in the next few weeks. Continue reading this article

Two Mothers Describe the Illegal Alien Murders of Their Sons before Las Vegas Debate

One of the more honorable and trustworthy aspects of Donald Trump is the continuing attention he has paid to crime victims of illegal aliens. No other candidate for president has given them a second glance, but Trump has met with them, given them speaking opportunities on his campaign and three parents told their stories at the Republican convention of how their sons died at the hands of illegal alien criminals.

In his convention acceptance speech, Trump remarked, “Of all my travels in this country, nothing has affected me more deeply than the time I have spent with the mothers and fathers who have lost their children to violence spilling across our border.”

On Wednesday, two moms, Agnes Gibboney and Laura Wilkerson, whose sons were murdered by illegal aliens appeared on Fox News to remind citizens of the importance of law and borders.

Ronald Da Silva (left, son of Agnes Gibboney) and Joshua Wilkerson (right) were both murdered by illegal aliens.

Laura Wilkerson’s case is particularly disturbing because when she says her son Joshua was tortured, that’s a shorthand way of saying how brutally he was beaten to death by a fellow high school student, an illegal alien from Belize. The young killer, Hermilo Moralez, would be a perfect Obama DREAMer if he hadn’t savagely murdered his classmate and been locked up since 2010.

BRIAN KILMEADE: A critical topic during tonight’s final debate will be illegal immigration, an issue that’s important to all Americans, has not come up yet by the way in a debate, but for our next guests it’s literally life-and-death. I’m talking about Laura Wilkerson and Agnes Gibboney; both had sons killed by illegal immigrants, and have taken action in their honor. They now advocate for the families of other victims through this organization, it’s called the Remembrance Project, and they join us right now.

Laura, Agnes, thanks so much. I want to find out about your sons, but I also want to find out why you see Donald Trump is a great hope for you. Agnes?

AGNES GIBBONEY: Because he was the only one that pointed out the big issues in this country the illegal immigration which is a tremendous problem in this country. A lot of our children or family members are being slaughtered by the illegal aliens who should never be in this country.

KILMEADE: And Laura, that’s something he brought up the day he came down the escalator. Continue reading this article

Fresno Gunman Was a Violent Convicted Felon Laos Would Not Receive in Deportation

laotianthongvangSaturday’s Fresno jailhouse shooting of two unarmed deputies by Laotian Thong Vang (pictured) has shined a light once again (!) on reprobate countries that refuse to accept their deported illegal alien criminals. Tools exist to help the State Department to convince recalcitrant nations to take back their bums, including the ability to block foreign aid or deny visas, but State doesn’t want to ruffle any foreign feathers. Public safety for Americans is not a priority for the executive branch of the federal government.

The recent crime in Fresno went down like this (from Breitbart):

Just after 8:30 am on Saturday morning, [Laotian Thong] Vang was seen trying to cut the visitor’s line in the lobby of the Fresno County jail and began acting agitated, showing “bizarre behavior” and pacing in the vicinity of a secure area when experienced officer Davila confronted him. The AP reported that the facility is guarded by unarmed officers and that visitors must pass through metal detectors to get to secure areas.

Sheriff Mims stated that Davila confronted Vang. Vang then pulled a gun from his clothing and began shooting. Scanlan then also responded to the scene and was shot. An estimated 15 adult and child bystanders fled, according to the AP.

Here’s a local report from KCRA:

What’s been little reported is Vang’s original crime in 1998 that put him jail for only 16 years: as part of the Mongolian Boys gang, he and more than a dozen of his Hmong gangster pals kidnapped, forcibly confined and gang-raped three young girls, aged 12 to 14.

It was such a shocking crime at the time that even the New York Times reported about it, although with its usual camouflage about diversity. The first mention occurred in paragraph #13, but the Times had to immediately balance the word “Mongolian” with a balancing note about a white gang that wasn’t accused of any time.

Gang Rape of Three Girls Leaves Fresno Shaken, and Questioning, New York Times, May 1, 1998

. . . Woven into Fresno’s subculture are gangs, and the police report on the attack linked some suspects with one called the Mongolian Boys Society. There are a multitude of ethnic gangs here, including a white supremacist gang called the Peckerwoods. Experts on gangs say that the reasons for the high gang activity include Fresno County’s 16.6-percent unemployment rate, largely attributable to a lack of manufacturing jobs and the seasonal nature of the region’s No. 1 industry, agriculture.

In fact, Ann Coulter used the Times’ diversity-defending report as a central part of her media analysis in Adios, America! in a chapter titled, “SPOT THE IMMIGRANT! Case No. 1, Fresno, California.” You can read that chapter in the Google Books file of the book.

Back to the main topic here (non-acceptance of deportees), the upshot about the perp Vang is that he was a very dangerous man who was sentenced to only 19 years in prison and served 16 for crimes of kidnapping and gang-rape of minor girls, and yet the feds apparently did not try hard to get him out of this country. Instead, because of the 2001 Supreme Court decision Zadvydas v. Davis, the government is prevented from detaining an illegal alien beyond his sentence length (with six months wiggle room) if his birth-nation will not take him back. However the United States has legal means to turn the screws on these irresponsible countries, but the Democrat executive branch won’t use them.

There are other cases of deportation rejects going on to commit preventable heinous crimes, for example:

● Illegal Alien Bangladeshi Is Sentenced for Murdering Hillsdale NY Grandmother

● Accused San Francisco Mass Murderer Was Not Deported to Vietnam

Below, Vietnamese man Binh Thai Luc murdered five San Francisco residents in 2012 after avoiding deportation in 2006.

Cases like this are a reminder why Donald Trump’s theme of America First and his sympathy for crime victims of illegal aliens has struck such a strong chord among citizens.

Laos refused to take back ex-con gunman who shot Fresno sheriffs, Fox News, September 8, 2016

The convicted rapist who shot two corrections officers in Fresno, Calif., last week was an illegal immigrant who was only in the U.S. because his homeland refused to take him, federal officials confirmed Wednesday.

Thong Vang, a 37-year-old Laotian national who completed a 16-year rape sentence two years ago and was slated for deportation, instead was freed when Laotian officials did not respond to a request by Immigration and Customs Enforcement to assist in his removal.

“When Laotian officials failed to respond to that request, ICE released Mr. Vang in December, 2014 due to the Supreme Court’s ruling in Zadvydas v. Davis,” ICE spokeswoman Virginia Kice said. The ruling Kice cited held that immigrants under order of deportation but whom no other country will accept may not be held indefinitely, absent special circumstances. Last year, 3,735 illegal immigrant criminals from Laos were ordered deported but instead freed when the country refused to cooperate.

“This is another horrifying example of the consequences of failing to push the issue of deportations with uncooperative countries,” said Jessica Vaughan, Director of Policy Studies for the Center for Immigration Studies. “Laos has been a problem for many years, and there are more than 3,700 criminals still here as a result, but still the State Department has not lifted a finger to take action against that government. Instead, they keep issuing visas – they gave out more than 11,000 temporary visas in the last five years in Laos, despite the requirement in federal law that they impose visa sanctions on countries that won’t take back their citizens.”

Vaughan said she hopes the wounded officers will recover, and that they and Fresno County officials will ask the federal government for an explanation for why nothing has been done about this problem, and call for action before others are hurt.

By contrast, some 67,792 Mexican nationals slated for removal could not be deported and nearly 29,000 Cubans were also freed after deportation failed. Continue reading this article
