Suffolk, County New York District Attorney Timothy Sini appeared Saturday on Fox News to discuss the major international arrests of nearly 100 gang leaders and associates:

MS-13 is justly ranked as one of the worst, most bloodthirsty gangs, since a murder is required for membership, and machetes are a traditional weapon for their frequent homicides.

They tend to prey upon their own kind, although not exclusively: Americans who get on their bad side may be killed.

Below, high school friends Nisa Mickens (left) and Kayla Cuevas (right) were hacked to death by MS-13 gangsters using machetes and baseball bats after Cuevas angered some gangsters on social media and Mickens got in the way.

President Trump invited both sets of parents to his 2018 State of the Union speech.

Keep in mind that President Obama knowingly admitted MS-13 gang members to America with his irresponsible policy of open borders to Central Americans. It was totally predictable that when Obama allowed many thousands to Central aliens to escape gang violence in their homelands, the gangsters would accompany them to the US because that’s what always happens: open borders for victims work for perps as well.

In July, 22 MS-13 members were arrested for a series of murders, and 19 were illegal aliens.

Hopefully future presidents will care more for the public safety of Americans than diversity in immigration.

New York DA on historic MS-13 bust: ‘the fight continues’, Fox News, December 21, 2019

Friday’s announcement of the largest-ever MS-13 crackdown is a “huge blow” against the gang but the fight is not over, Suffolk, County New York District Attorney Timothy Sini said Saturday

Appearing on “Fox & Friends: Weekend” with hosts Pete Hegseth and Emily Compagno, Sini confirmed that 96 MS-13 gang members and associates were charged with significant crimes in the historic bust including murder, conspiracy, drug distribution, and assault. The ages of those arrested range from 16 to 59 and include U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants.

The developments come following a two-year investigation involving law enforcement from the local to the federal level in Suffolk County, one of the gangs’ longtime hotbeds.

Sources told the New York Post that most of the arrests were made Thursday and Friday morning.

“And, as a result of intelligence generated throughout the investigation, law enforcement made over 230 arrests throughout the world including in New York, throughout the United States, and in El Salvador,” Sini said. “This was a global operation.”

Throughout the investigation, authorities recovered drugs in gang members’ possession such as cocaine and fentanyl, as well as handguns and more than $200,000 in cash.

Sini said the use of social media analysis was crucial and they obtained wiretaps on over 215 phones.

“And, I have to say: law enforcement did such a tremendous job because, as they were gathering intelligence, they would use that intelligence in real-time to stop acts of violence and they put their lives on the line to stop those acts of violence,” he said.

“This is a huge blow,” Sini stated. “This decimates the leadership on Long Island.”

MS-13, also known as Mara Salvatrucha, recruits young teenagers from El Salvador and Honduras, though many gang members were born in the U.S. The gang has been blamed for dozens of killings since January 2016 across a wide swath of New York’s Long Island – where Suffolk County is — the Los Angeles area and the D.C. suburbs. In fact, quite the opposite: Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) continues her shrill admonitions to assault Trump supporters wherever they can be found, from restaurants to homes.

New York Post opinion writer Karol Markowicz wants to end that silence, and she appeared on Fox News on Tuesday to discuss, following her earlier op-ed.

One bit of good news on the one-way violence is that the Trump supporters who got no protection from the San Jose police as they were being pelted with eggs and beaten up can now sue the department.

Members of Congress are certainly on the front lines for incoming violent terrorism, but regular citizens are also victims of the liberal mob.

Below, an older man with a MAGA hat was pepper-sprayed by masked antifa thugs in Berkeley as police refused to intervene.

Here’s Markowicz’ opinion piece questioning leftist violence and providing an incomplete list of victims:

When will Democrats condemn the left’s growing turn to violence?, By Karol Markowicz, New York Post, July 29, 2018

Last week, a man was indicted for threatening to kill Republican Rep. Diane Black. “They were serious enough threats that the grand jury did take action,” Black said in an interview with Fox News.

It’s been barely a year since the shooting of House Majority Whip Steve Scalise during congressional baseball practice, and the story of the threats to Black was barely a blip in our news.

The shooting last June should have been a wake-up call for our political discourse, but we’ve only been on a further slide since then.

This month, Black’s fellow GOP congressman Jason Lewis says his daughters were threatened. A man threatened to chop up Sen. Rand Paul’s family with an ax.

Another was arrested outside the campaign office of Rep. Lee Zeldin for threatening to kill supporters of President Trump. And the Nebraska GOP office had bricks thrown through its windows and graffiti painted on its wall.

Last week, a guy was beaten up in Oakland after a crowd thought he was a member of the Proud Boys, a right-wing pro-Trump men’s rights group.

In September, I wrote about the perils of Nazi-punching, and how the online glee about a white supremacist being punched was misplaced and dangerous. One of my concerns was that the violence being cheered wouldn’t end with Nazis. It didn’t.

A telling incident took place this month when a group of Proud Boys wearing MAGA hats got into a fight at an LA bar. This LA Times quote from Josh Androsky, who led the fight against the Boys, is a stunner: “The Proud Boys say they’re not Nazis, and duh, they’re not from 1945, they’re not 100 years old. But in America, there’s a fun little thing, which is a catch-all term for right-wing racist hate groups, and it’s Nazi.”

He added: “The First Amendment protects the right to peaceably assemble. There’s no such thing as a peaceable assembly of Nazis. Just by virtue of their ideology, they are causing harm.”

Absurd. Even actual 100-year-old Nazis are protected by the First Amendment. Where are the prominent liberals to tell their supporters that, no, they can’t actually punch anyone they disagree with?

Before the election, there was a lot of concern that Donald Trump would lose and his supporters would take to the streets. Quartz magazine quoted Trump supporters who threatened “revolution” if he lost. An LA Times op-ed by Doyle McManus found Trump fans saying there’d be a “civil war.”

Since the election, there have been similar pieces about what Trump supporters would do if he were to get impeached or if he lost in 2020.

But there’s been very little exploration of the continuing violent outbursts by people unhappy that Donald Trump is president. The inevitable march from confronting cabinet members in restaurants to confronting ordinary supporters of the president continues apace.

Where is the Democratic leadership? What would their response be if the party ID were reversed? And why isn’t the media hounding them for answers?

Naturally, a gaggle of anti-Trump marxists gathered to harass and jabber.

What I noticed was how effective the local police were at preventing antagonistic sides from getting out of control: they formed a line and kept the groups apart. Fundamental cop stuff, right?

That was exactly the element missing in the March 4 Berkeley event where gangs of masked anarchists were allowed to assault the pro-Trump crowd, many of whom were older, even elderly. The Berkeley Police stood around as violence intensified without utilizing the strategy of basic crowd control. The city leaders made it clear that pro-Trump citizens were not welcome in their precious People’s Republic. See my blog for details: Berkeley Police Watch as Masked Anarchists Pursue Violence, Finally Arrest 10.

In Providence, the police formed a line to keep the two sides apart.

Because the peace was maintained in Providence, some people managed to have respectful disagreements. This is how political discourse is supposed to work, and law enforcement is a part of the picture.

A line of police officers divide Trump backers and foes at State House, March 25, 2017

Supporters and opponents of President Donald Trump got into shouting matches in front of City Hall Saturday morning as a march to the State House in support of the president got underway.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Providence police and state troopers formed a line between Trump supporters and foes at the State House terrace to prevent violence.

There were about 1,000 demonstrators at the State House, according to estimates made by Providence Journal reporters and the Providence police.

The rally ended at about 12:45 p.m., when the Providence police and state troopers ordered demonstrators to leave the area of the State House. The pro-Trump forces mostly dissipated, while the anti-Trumpers marched back toward City Hall, intending to head to a “RISE UP! Rhode Island” rally at the Roger Williams Memorial National Park on North Main Street, where organizers said they will urge people to “raise their voices against the current administration’s policies of hate and bigotry and stand in solidarity for equal rights for everyone.”

The two sides marched up Francis Street from Providence City Hall together. Trump’s supporters led. The opponents followed.

They were noisy: the President’s supporters chanting “USA, USA;” the opponents shouting expletives associated with Trump’s name.

But there was no trouble until the two factions reached the State House when there was some pushing and shoving.

That ended when the police formed their standing barrier between the two sides.

“I think it was a good representation of the American system of government,” Providence police Commander Thomas A. Verdi told The Providence Journal. “Two groups equal in size … each voicing their opinions and positions, and both very passionate, but able to do so in a very peaceful way.”

Around the edges of the crowd, something like respectful conversations broke out between a few on either side.

In his Make America Great Again hat, John Carnevale, of Johnston, talked with Linda Strate, of North Kingstown, as she held a #Resist Hate sign.

She was there because of health care. He was there to “affirm that Trump is our president.”

Oh, Strate said, “He may not be if he screwed around with Russia!”

“People throw around allegations, but you’re innocent until proven guilty in this country,” Carnevale argued.

That’s true, she said.

They kept talking, disagreeing, but respectful to each other. “Why not?” Strate said. “I’m a nice person, and I think he is too. We’re good people, we just disagree.”

The day began quietly with police and state troopers outnumbering demonstrators at the State House at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

On tables in front of the State House, Trump’s signature “Make America Great Again” baseball caps were for sale for $20 in Burnside Park.

At the State House, the Trump supporters made speeches while the disrupt crowd disrupted by chanting and beating on plastic utility buckets.

The march is one of several pro-Trump and Anti-Trump rallies in downtown Providence Saturday.

WADK radio talk show host John DePetro, declared “We are gathered here today to send a message to the White House and President Trump: the people of Rhode Island are with you. Help us get rid of the selfish, corrupt, incompetent politicians who hold our state hostage.”

He went on his his prepared remarks to declare: “Here in Rhode Island , we have seen jobs leave and factories close. Empty buildings, panhandlers, dangerous drug dealers and illegal aliens cause chaos in our communities. The biggest building is the empty Superman building, and the only crane in the sky is the one lifting the 800 pound man.

“We Trump supporters are here as one, to become a force to change the state,” DePetro wrote.

The demonstrators started heading home around 12:15.

America didn’t have black assassins murdering police (as in Dallas and Baton Rouge) eight years ago who think that cops routinely kill African-Americans just for yucks. The other 40 percent of poll responders must be asleep.

The lives of black Americans have not improved economically under the black president, and many may be inclined to look elsewhere for blame. Police are a handy target, since they represent government authority up close and personal. Plus, Obama uses the police as a punching bag whenever convenient.

Nobody tells economically stressed blacks that their problems are largely due to the accumulated effects of the globalist economy of outsourcing and excess immigration (in addition to business-killing overregulation from Washington). Those policies effect all working Americans, but low-skilled blacks are hit hard. A few decades back, young person with a high-school education could be employed in a nearby manufacturing plant, but many of those jobs are long gone now, outsourced to cheap labor overseas. The St. Louis area, including Ferguson, had several automotive manufacturing plants, but now they have been offshored and consequently thousands of jobs have disappeared from the region.

Plus, black citizens are very loyal to Obama, who is therefore freed up to concentrate on pleasing hispanics and illegal aliens to add to the Democrat voting block — a policy that directly harms blacks.

60% Say Race Relations Have Gotten Worse Since Obama’s Election, Rasmussen Reports, July 19, 2016

As the nation reels from angry protests and deadly violence against police officers, voters are more pessimistic than ever about the state of race relations in this country since the election of its first black president.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 60% of Likely U.S. Voters think race relations are worse since President Obama’s election nearly eight years ago. That’s an 18-point jump from 42% in late 2014 and up from 43% when we first asked the question in August 2013.

Just nine percent (9%) believe race relations are better now, little changed from the previous survey, while 28% say they have stayed about the same. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Only 13% think life for young black Americans has gotten better since Obama’s election in November 2008, while 41% believe it’s gotten worse. That compares to 16% and 22% in March 2014.

Thirty-nine percent (39%) believe life for young blacks is about the same, down 10 points from the previous survey.

Sixty-six percent (66%) of whites and 51% of other minority voters believe that race relations in this country have gotten worse since Obama’s election, but just 38% of blacks agree. Half (49%) of black voters and 32% of other minorities think race relations are about the same. Blacks are also less likely than the others to feel life for young black Americans has gotten worse.

Separate surveying, however, finds that blacks are much more likely to believe the economy and the U.S. justice system is unfair to them.

Blacks strongly believe they are treated unfairly by the police, but most voters in general think crime in inner cities is a bigger problem than police discrimination against minorities.

(Want a free daily e-mail update? If it’s in the news, it’s in our polls). Rasmussen Reports updates are also available on Twitter or Facebook.

The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on July 12-13, 2016 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

Just 21% of voters now believe the country is headed in the right direction, the lowest finding in nearly three years. Last September, only 20% said Obama has brought Americans of different races closer together, while 47% said he has driven those of different races further apart.

Twenty percent (20%) of voters believe government has tried to do too much to improve the lives of young black Americans, but 43% say it has done too little. Twenty-two percent (22%) feel the level of government action has been about right. Fifteen percent (15%) are undecided.

Only 12% believe the government is most responsible for improving conditions for young black Americans. Thirty-seven percent (37%) think their parents are most responsible, but nearly as many (35%) say it’s mostly up to the young people themselves, up from 29% in 2014. Two percent (2%) feel private business has the most responsibility, while two percent (2%) think it’s mainly up to school authorities. Twelve percent (12%) see that responsibility somewhere else or are not sure.

Seventy-one percent (71%) of black voters say the government has not done enough to improve the lives of young black people, a view shared by 39% of whites and 43% of other minority voters. But just 15% of blacks agree the government should be primarily responsible for improving those conditions. Black voters believe even more strongly than the others that parents hold that responsibility, while whites and other minorities tend to be more divided between parents and the young people themselves.

Eighty-four percent (84%) of Republicans and 67% of voters not affiliated with either party believe race relations have worsened since Obama’s election, a view shared by just 32% of voters in the president’s party. Seventeen percent (17%) of Democrats say those relations have gotten better, but a plurality (47%) thinks they are about the same.

While Democrats are far less likely than the others to think life for young black Americans has gotten worse since the president’s election, they are more critical of government efforts to improve those conditions. Republicans and unaffiliated voters put more emphasis on parental and personal responsibility than Democrats do.

The older the voter, the more likely he or she is to believe parents should be primarily responsible for improving conditions for young black people. Younger voters tend to put more emphasis on government efforts compared to their elders.

As America honored the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. this January, confidence that race relations were getting better overall sunk to its lowest level yet.

Americans strongly believe the media is emphasizing shootings by police officers involving black suspects over ones in which whites are shot and that that media coverage is prompting attacks on police.

While voters are less convinced that there is an actual war on police, most still blame politicians who are critical of the police for making their jobs more dangerous.

Both these surveys were taken after the murder of five Dallas police officers but before the killing of three policemen this past weekend in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

You wouldn’t expect to see reportage of Americans murdered, raped or stolen from, with the perps being illegal aliens from the queen of liberal media. There’s plenty of crime committed by border-violating foreigners, with many American victims, but the Times has a different agenda.

Besides, who would relocate to a complex, first-world nation without speaking the language at least a little?

Illegal aliens do, because they figure they can mooch American jobs and benefits by residing in a language-balkanized community like LA or Miami, where English is not required in everyday use. Plus the foreigners have the media on their side, plus well-paid ethnic helpers in La Raza and such.

The basic narrative here is immigrant-victim sob stories of foreigners not immediately presented with a police officer speaking their language. But at least there are some interesting facts, e.g. nearly two million English avoiders, plus a fascinating map of language diversity in New York City.

One also notices how many of the language complainers are women who have been beaten up by their culturally misogynous husbands. And no dollar cost is given for all this attention to diversity.

Language Barrier Continues to Thwart Victims of Crimes, New York Times, May 11, 2014

New York City now has more non-English speakers than ever, according to the Census Bureau: nearly two million. In response to this growing population, the city has assembled a host of programs to help it serve not just those who speak Spanish, Chinese and Russian, but also languages like Pashto, Punjabi, Uzbek and Urdu.

The New York Police Department, the largest in the country with almost 35,000 officers, has tried to stay at the forefront of the effort, and has billed its foreign language program as the world’s standard.

But having services doesn’t ensure they will be used, and some New Yorkers say that in the frantic, often frightening minutes just after a crime has occurred, their pleas for assistance in their native language have been ignored by officers. While help arrived swiftly after a call to 911, they say, officers didn’t summon a bilingual colleague, find an impartial bilingual bystander, or call the interpretation service the city uses for such situations. Domestic violence calls, already fraught with confusion and tension, have been particularly prone to language lapses, according to victim advocates. In interviews, several women said that without an interpreter, their attempts to report crimes were stifled.

A Russian-speaking woman said that after her husband accosted her in a drunken rage at his Coney Island home, she called the police. Officers ignored her requests to tell her story in her native tongue, she said. Instead, an officer scribbled the word “refused” and told her to copy it onto a report meant to contain her testimony. She followed his instructions. Embarrassed by the abuse, she agreed to be interviewed on condition of anonymity.

A Bengali-speaking woman said that after strangers punched and sexually assaulted her after a break-in at her home in Queens, officers asked her 10-year-old child to interpret. Unwilling to traumatize the child, she did not divulge the sexual attack. And a Spanish-speaking woman, Josefina Ramirez, said that after an argument with her landlord, she called 911 for protection. A pair of officers ignored her request for interpretation, she said, and rifled through her pockets, taking her keys, and then ejected her from the building.

Ms. Ramirez, 57, said she spent the night wandering the streets of Bushwick, Brooklyn. “Instead of protecting me, they hurt me,” she said. “I understood nothing of what was going on.”

Victim advocates say these encounters and others like them show that for all its efforts and intentions, the Police Department is falling short of its goals, and of a 2008 mayoral order that requires it to provide non-English speakers with “meaningful access” to its services in the city’s most frequently spoken languages.

“It’s been a consistent problem,” said Dorchen A. Leidholdt, director of legal services at Sanctuary for Families, which serves more than 10,000 domestic violence victims a year, three-quarters of whom are immigrants. “It’s a critically urgent safety issue.”

Susan A. Herman, the department’s new deputy commissioner for collaborative policing, called language access “a very high priority,” saying that she has met with many community groups in recent months to discuss this and other issues. “We’re seeking continuous input from them about what they’re seeing on the ground.”

[. . .]

New York has worked to stay out in front. Under Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, the police force became considerably more diverse. At the patrol level, about a third of the department is Hispanic. The number of officers of Asian descent has more than doubled since 2003. Since 2012 all of the department’s 50,000-plus employees, officers and civilians, have had access to a 24-hour telephone interpretation service that allows them to connect with operators fluent in more than 170 languages. At least 15,000 staff members speak a language other than English, including 8,895 who speak Spanish; about 1,260 are certified interpreters.

In the academy, cadets are briefed on the department’s language access program and once on the job they receive 20-minute refreshers three times each year. Signs advertising free interpretation are posted in every police station house and service area.

One measure: a federal judge has rejected a lawsuit from unfriendlies that would have stopped police from surveilling mosques.

In fact, mosques are sometimes centers of murderous plots against non-Muslims, as expressed in the Islamic poem observing, “The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers…”

For example, several of the 9/11 attackers congregated at the Taiba mosque, called “the main meeting point for radical Islamic militants in Hamburg” by the director of the city’s intelligence services.

Below, jihadists attacked the United States on September 11, 2001, as part of Islam’s 1400-year war against all non-Muslims.

Interestingly, the Associated Press story noted (in later paragraphs) that the judge scolded the AP for publishing confidential police documents in an attempt to thwart the protection of the citizens. In the liberal media universe, jihad diversity counts more than public safety.

Judge: Spying on NJ Muslims by NYPD was legal, Associated Press, February 21, 2014

NEW YORK (AP) — A federal judge has ruled that the New York Police Department’s surveillance of Muslims in New Jersey was a lawful effort to prevent terrorism, not a civil rights violation.

In a decision filed Thursday in federal court in Newark, U.S. District Judge William Martini dismissed a lawsuit brought in 2012 by eight Muslims who alleged that the NYPD’s surveillance programs were unconstitutional because they focused on religion, national origin and race. The suit accused the department of spying on ordinary people at mosques, restaurants and schools in New Jersey since 2002.

Martini said he was not convinced that the plaintiffs were targeted solely because of their religion. “The more likely explanation for the surveillance was to locate budding terrorist conspiracies,” he wrote.

The judge added: “The police could not have monitored New Jersey for Muslim terrorist activities without monitoring the Muslim community itself.”

Farhaj Hassan, a plaintiff in the case and a U.S. soldier who served in Iraq, said he was disappointed by the ruling.

“I have dedicated my career to serving my country, and this just feels like a slap in the face — all because of the way I pray,” he said.

The Center for Constitutional Rights in New York and the California-based civil rights organization Muslim Advocates, which represented the plaintiffs, also called the decision troubling.

“In addition to willfully ignoring the harm that our innocent clients suffered from the NYPD’s illegal spying program, by upholding the NYPD’s blunderbuss Muslim surveillance practices, the court’s decision gives legal sanction to the targeted discrimination of Muslims anywhere and everywhere in this country, without limitation, for no other reason than their religion,” CCR Legal Director Baher Azmy said.

The lawsuit followed a series of stories by The Associated Press based on confidential NYPD documents that showed how the department sought to infiltrate dozens of mosques and Muslim student groups in New York and elsewhere.

Martini faulted the AP for its use of the documents.

“The Associated Press covertly obtained the materials and published them without authorization,” he wrote. “Thus the injury, if any existed, is not fairly traceable to the city.”

The AP declined to comment on the ruling.

The city’s Law Department also declined comment. Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg and former Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly had been staunch supporters of the surveillance programs, saying they were needed to protect the city from terrorist attacks.

A similar lawsuit filed in federal court in Brooklyn is still pending.

Chief George Gascon committed a faux paux about a week ago by making a non-fawning remark about Muslims, namely that they are involved in terrorist acts. Or something like that. He admitted to saying Arabs could park a van in front of the Hall of Justice and blow it up. His actual statement, made at a breakfast meeting regarding an earthquake bond, is somewhat vague, but it did get a lot of turbans riled. He should record everything in the future.

The Chief has spent the intervening time making an apology tour, meeting with the usual offended parties. The Muslims used the occasion to demand sensitivity training for police officers as well as regular meetings to attend to their community’s special needs. Those cops earn their pay, no doubt about it.

The Chronicle reported on what Gascon surely hopes was the final abasement:

S.F. Chief George Gascón apologizes to Muslims, San Francisco Chronicle, April 3, 2010

Hundreds of Bay Area Muslims cheered San Francisco Police Chief George Gascón as he publicly apologized Friday for comments he made a week earlier referring to the susceptibility of the Hall of Justice to a terrorist attack by local Middle Eastern residents.

Gascón spoke for about five minutes after a Muslim prayer service held in a hotel conference room and attended by Yemeni, Afghan, Pakistani and Middle Eastern community members.

Friday’s event capped a weeklong string of mea culpas offered by Gascón to those communities.

“I’m sorry that I’ve offended you, that I’ve offended the Afghan community and other Middle Eastern communities,” he said to loud applause. “It doesn’t matter where we come from, who we pray to. The responsibility for our safety is a joint effort.”

Yemeni Consul General Mansoor Ismael formally accepted Gascón’s apology to even louder cheers from the men assembled in a large conference room at the Holiday Inn on Van Ness Avenue. Dozens of women listened through speakers set up in another room. Organizers decided to hold the prayer service in the hotel this week to accommodate the expected large turnout for Gascón’s apology.

No hypocrisy here! The Chief of Police was made to grovel because of supposed cultural insensitivity, while the apology demanders are misogynist piggymen who are completely at odds with the culture of gender equality in America.

At least the Chronicle reported on the segregation. KGO/ABC didn’t mention it at all: Gascon apologizes to Middle Eastern community. It’s yet another example of how women are thrown under the bus when their presence gets in the way of diversity ideology.
