Seriously, it’s a wonder that anyone would want to relocate here, much less many millions of people around the world.

In fact, a 2018 Gallup poll found that more than 750 million people worldwide want to leave their home nations to relocate elsewhere. Unsurprisingly, the United States was the top choice, with 158 million picking the US.

A report at the time from Tucker Carlson noted a Pew survey that found residents of the receiving nations were not positive toward increasing immigration at all: as Breitbart News accurately headlined Pew: No Majority of Citizens in the World Support Increasing Immigration.

So American citizens who want immigration controlled — not massively increased with open borders as Biden is planning — are normal human beings who want law, order and cultural continuity.

On Monday, Tucker Carlson took up the idea of American racism with Heather MacDonald who recently published a thoughtful article in Newsweek titled If ‘Systemic Racism’ Is Real, Why Does Biden Want To Bring Immigrants Here?.

TUCKER CARLSON: Institutional racism in America — you hear that a lot. Anyone who asks questions about it gets in trouble — people have been fired for asking, hey what is that? The question is — is it real? By the way will they define it, for once no.

But if institutional systemic racism is what Joe Biden says it is, why is he acting as he is? If this country, if America is so bigoted that people of color can’t live here, if it’s institutionally racist — then why is Joe Biden suspending immigration law to allow as many people from non-white countries as possible to move here? Wouldn’t that be dangerous for them?

Heather MacDonald is at the Manhattan Institute. She wrote an op-ed about this in Newsweek and she joins us tonight. Heather, thanks so much for coming on. This is an inherent contradiction at the center of their argument, and I’m interested in hearing someone explain it, and I know you can.

HEATHER MACDONALD: It’s hilarious, Tucker. I mean this is one of the most profound contradictions within the heart of the left-wing world view. On the one hand — as Biden said during the campaign as he said in his inauguration speech as he said since, then America is lethally racist. On the other hand we should break down every single reasonable commonsensical immigration control in order to bring in legally and illegally as many third-world immigrants of color as possible.

Both positions cannot be true. if Biden believes that that black children are at risk of getting shot every time they step outside, we should not be bringing more black children into this country. This is an opportunity for Republicans, Tucker, to call them out on this.

Both positions together are disastrous when combined as a policy matter. Every time Biden comes to Congress and wants to add an amnesty, wants to dismantle deportation, do catch and release — ask them to justify why they are doing this when in their view America is so systemically racist.

CARLSON: No it’s such a great point. Their relentless incessant race talk is really hurting the country. It’s based in lies, it makes people hate each other. I wonder if they know that — I mean, what is the endgame here? And I said it’s an open question, but quickly I mean, how do you think they think this ends up in the end?

MACDONALD: They want to completely change the character of this country, the foundation of it, the norms, the traditions and the demographics of it. To be very honest, it is based in hatred towards a civilization deemed too white and too male, and they’re going to do everything they can — whether it’s spewing the poison of identity politics, teaching Americans to hate each other, to hate their past or flooding it with low-skilled mass low-skilled immigration that increases the wealth gap that hurts American blacks and hispanics.

And in an environment where you’ve got this ideology of racial hatred, we are making assimilation impossible. In my experience, many immigrants are picking up the narrative about white supremacy, they feel entitled, they they hate the country to be honest. I’ve spent a lot of time here in California talking to people in Santa Ana — police officers will tell you they insist, they expect to be spoken to in their native language.

This is not the way to assimilate immigrants, and it’s not the way to keep a country going to spread this hatred and tell lies about its fundamental character.

Gujral started her film with the intention that it was going to be pro-illegal alien, but the specifics of several cases convinced her that too much suffering and death was the real result — both from disastrous illegal border crossings and preventable crimes of unlawful aliens.

An interview with Elizabeth MacDonald on Fox Business provided more detail, where Gujral noted, “Most of the people that are coming in are coming in for what we call in the film a ‘lifestyle upgrade’ — a lot of them spending $75,000 per person, $50,000 per person — these are not people that are poor.”

No longer. He has succumbed to the open-borders insanity of the left including free healthcare and college for the invaders. Bernie has also embraced the scary-bad New Way Forward Act that threatens the basic law and order we all expect.

In 2015, he objected to open borders as “a Koch brothers proposal” but the senator is all the way there now.

Democrats used to be represent American working people, but dropped that allegiance when the party discovered that immigrants, particularly hispanics, were more dependable big-government voters than picky citizens.

Under Bernie’s generous plan, why wouldn’t a hundred million foreigners come? Or a billion? Unlimited free stuff from the most desirable nation on earth would be irresistible.

Not to mention the money-making opportunities in a wide open America for drug cartels and other criminal enterprises from abroad.

TUCKER CARLSON: All of a sudden, Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont is the frontrunner in the Democratic race. As of tonight, Sanders has by far the best chance in the whole Democratic Party of getting the nomination. So how should you feel about that?

Well if you’re conservative, it’s probably a little hard to take the whole thing seriously. For one thing it seemed to come out of nowhere — nobody expected it, nobody on TV warned you it was gonna happen.

For another thing, Sanders isn’t half as gut-level offensive as someone like say Elizabeth Warren. Unlike Warren, Sanders is obviously sincere about what he believes; he means it.

He’s got the right enemies too. CNN appears to hate Bernie Sanders every bit as much as they hate Donald Trump. That’s a plus, and unlike everyone else on the left Sanders talks mostly about economics rather than Putin and non-binary bathrooms. And it’s refreshing to hear someone focus on things that matter for once. Plus it’s not like Sanders is gonna win the presidency. You keep hearing people on both sides saying there is no possibility, no chance in the world that Bernie Sanders will get elected president in November, and that sounds right basically.

The guy calls himself a socialist — come on now, this is America. That’s what we’re telling ourselves, but are we absolutely sure that that’s true? But ask yourself this — who was the last candidate they told you on television could never ever win? — oh yeah, the current president. So ignore the people on TV. They’re morons, they lack wisdom, they lack imagination, they’re almost always wrong about everything.

Of course Bernie Sanders could win the general election. A year from now we could be in the first months of a Bernie Sanders administration, and this would be a completely different country. What kind of country would it be?

Well tonight we’re beginning a series on Bernie Sanders’ America. We take Sanders seriously; we think you should take him seriously too.

So we’re starting tonight with Sanders’ views on immigration. It’s a topic that affects this country on every level. For decades Sanders had what would now be considered conservative views on immigration: he cared about higher wages for workers — that was his issue.

Mass immigration lowers wages, so Sanders was against it. It’s that simple. Then Sanders ran for president and his views changed completely. Now Sanders is as radical on immigration as anyone else in the race.

For example, he’s come out against virtually all deportations — all. Watch:

SENATOR BERNIE SANDERS: A moratorium on deportations for the 99 percent of the people is nothing to be cynical about. I think that is a significant step forward, and the undocumented community would be very proud of that.

CARLSON: Ending 99 percent of deportations to please the undocumented community. You should know that that number includes violent felons. Sanders went on to say only if an illegal alien commits a quote terrible terrible crime — only then, Sanders quote might consider deporting that person — might.

Now Sanders wouldn’t have to change any laws to do this; he could simply order federal authorities to stop deportations. He could do that day one, and that’s his plan. Imagine what that would mean for this country — foreign nationals commit crimes, and we can’t send them home.

But Sanders wouldn’t stop there. He’s planning to unilaterally enact many pieces of the New Way Forward act — that’s the lunatic piece of legislation we’ve covered on the show extensively. It’s designed to protect criminal aliens — that’s the point of it.

Sanders has pledged to end the ban on deported criminals re-entering the United States. Why is that a good idea? He’s pledged to eliminate expedited removal — that’s the policy that allows obvious illegal aliens to be kicked out of the country swiftly. Over.

He’s promised to give discretion to immigration judges so they can protect any illegal aliens who somehow beat the odds and face actual deportation. Sanders has also vowed to end all workplace immigration raids so that big business will be able to rely on illegal immigrant labor with impunity.

That’s something he spent 30 years attacking — now he’s for it, and ending those immigration raids will be easy since Sanders is planning to abolish ICE.

SANDERS: On day one, through an executive order, we will repeal all of Trump’s racist immigration executive orders. We will end the ICE raids that are terrorizing communities all across America.

CARLSON: Of course businesses will have to import more of that illegal exploited labor that Sanders is suddenly for because Sanders is also promising an amnesty for all current illegal aliens in this country. That’s more than 22 million people.

Of course that’s a move that will change the electoral balance in this country permanently — forever — and that’s the real point, needless to say.

Bringing in new illegal workers won’t be difficult: Sanders plans to decriminalize the illegal border crossings and abolish the Border Patrol.

What is this? This is what radical open borders policy looks like. Sanders is arguing that everyone on earth has the effective right to come to this country anytime and receive the benefits of citizenship.

In the Sanders administration, those benefits would include but will not be limited to free college, free healthcare, and full eligibility for food stamps and welfare.

Now we’re not making this up for partisan reasons or to slam Bernie Sanders because suddenly it looks like he’s gonna become the nominee. This has been out there the whole time, no one’s mentioning it, but it’s all on tape. Sanders brags about all of it. Watch:

SANDERS: I believe that healthcare is a human right.

QUESTIONER: Senator, would you include the 11 million undocumented?

SANDERS: Absolutely. When I talk about healthcare being a human right — last time I heard that undocumented people are human beings as well. We need the best educated population in the world: that means we’re going to make our public colleges and universities tuition-free and open that to the undocumented as well.

CARLSON: So why isn’t anybody talking about this? People are jumping up and down on both sides on television because Sanders praised Fidel Castro, because Sanders is a self-described Democratic Socialist — that’s bad, there’s no doubt. But is it worse than what he believes on policy? It’s not even close.

You know what’s way worse than anything he’s ever said about Fidel Castro? His belief, his argument that anyone on the planet who sneaks into the United States should get free healthcare and free college tuition. That’s the case he’s making.

So here’s the obvious question — what would that do to our medical system and our universities? How long before they collapse? Not long.

These are some of the best things in our country, what we brag about — gone. How do we pay for all of this, by the way? And if it’s such a great idea, why is no other nation considering doing it? Why has no other nation ever done this?

Sanders has no answers for those questions, the most basic questions, and in fact becomes angry if you ask him. He clearly doesn’t care about the consequences of his plans.

Why? There’s really only one possible answer — because he doesn’t care about the United States or its future. It’s obvious that Sanders hates the country he seeks to lead; there’s no other explanation for it, and that is a very dangerous quality in a president.

The show will continue to bring you a series on what life would be like under a Bernie Sanders administration because there’s a lot there, and none of it’s gotten attention. It’s more than just praising Castro — trust us.

Old Joe wants [...]]]> Sometimes it seems extreme to accuse the left of supporting crazy Open Borders. But then some major figure will put his foot right in it, as candidate Joe Biden did recently when he said he would import two million poor foreigners immediately if elected — because America is a sanctuary or something.

Old Joe wants to give something away that doesn’t belong to him — residence in the United States — and the American people’s choice of Donald Trump as president in 2016 shows how many are sick of being the world’s welfare office.

Plus, the world has changed enormously in recent decades. There are billions of poor people in the Third World who would benefit from access to the goodies in America or Europe, but the number of needy people is prohibitive.

What’s also changed is the ease of getting here — from cheapie flights to leftist-organized caravans from Central America to invade this country.

The best thing for all concerned would be to end the immigration rescue mission entirely, because even saving millions as candidate Biden desires would only be a drop in the bucket and would further damage America with still more poor foreigners. It would be better to promote microlending and similar programs that help foreigners stay home and fix their own homelands.

Because they can’t all come here.

Tucker Carlson was unimpressed with Joe Biden’s generosity, as well as the continuing anarchy on the border.

TUCKER CARLSON: Here in Washington our leaders spent the week focused on the Middle East, on Iran, but out there in the rest of the country there are plenty of more pressing tangible concerns. For example, many of our cities are starting to fail. infrastructure is aging, both crime and the cost of living are surging, and left-wing prosecutors have stopped enforcing the law. We will have more on all of that in Part Four of our America Dystopia series in just a moment.

But for the leading presidential candidate, candidate Joe Biden of Delaware, none of these problems matches what he believes is the greatest crisis at all: America isn’t importing enough desperately poor people. That’s his position.

In a tweet on January 5th, Biden lashed out at the president for immigration policy, quote: “Our Statue of Liberty invites in the tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to breathe free. But Donald Trump has slammed the door in the face of families fleeing persecution and violence.” End quote.

What a moralizer, that Joe Biden. Then just a few months ago, Biden vowed if he becomes president, he will admit two million poor immigrants overnight, and then increase that number from there. Watch.

JOE BIDEN: We can afford to take in a heartbeat another two million people. The idea that a country of 330 million people cannot absorb people who are in desperate need and who are justifiably fleeing oppression is absolutely bizarre. Absolutely bizarre. I would also move to increase the total number of immigrants able to come to the United States.

CARLSON: How many of those immigrants will be staying at Joe Biden’s house, at Joe Biden’s expense? Hmm, zero, of course.

Biden’s view is our chief mission as a nation is to admit as many poor people as we possibly can. The less impressive their country of origin, the less they are able to contribute to this country, the more we want them. You are rich, they are poor, therefore you must give them money, the right to vote, a permanent home. And once have you done that, repeat.

Biden claims that’s our moral duty, that Donald Trump and anyone else who shirks that duty is a racist.

But, is Trump shirking that duty? Is the basic claim even true? It’s worth assessing — there’s so much lying.

So once again we go to the numbers. Here’s what they are. From October 2018 to September of 2019, the Border Patrol apprehended 977,000 people at the US-Mexico border. That’s the highest total in more than a decade and more than the previous two years combined.

Now, keep in mind, that’s just people being caught at the southern border. many more getting through without getting caught of course. And then there are the tens or hundreds of thousands of others who enter legally but then overstay visas.

These illegal immigrants tethering themselves here with millions of anchor babies. That’s not a talking point, that’s a fact.

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, for example, 372,000 children of illegal aliens were born in this country just last year. Every one of them is now an American citizen, and their parents are benefiting from a whole suite of benefits — food stamps, medicaid, other programs.

Of course they won’t be deported now. Wonder how we got 22 million illegal immigrants? That’s how.

So, by any actual measure, by the data, illegal immigration is worse than it has been in a long time. But for Joe Biden, it’s still not enough — 22 million illegals? Why not thirty million or fifty million? And every one of them gets free healthcare paid for by you. That’s his promise.

Is your country really so spectacularly rich that we can afford this? And, of course you know the answer. We are not a rich country. We are more than $20 trillion in debt. Our middle class is dying, in part because immigrants willing to work for less have driven down wages.

It doesn’t make the immigrants bad. They are coming from incredibly poor places with totally different standards of living. It’s economic fact when you flood the labor pool with people willing to work for less, wages go down, and that’s been going on for decades.

Not surprisingly, America’s most immigrant-heavy state, California, is also the most impoverished. Many people born in California can’t leave quickly enough — ask Idaho and Texas.

But Joe Biden says we need more. According to Biden, our country is a sanctuary, must be a sanctuary for those fleeing violence. But because Joe Biden knows nothing, he is not aware that some of America’s cities are deadlier than the places those people are fleeing from.

For example, El Salvador. One-third of all living Salvadorans live in this country now. But here are the numbers. Salvador has 50 murders per 100,000 people. Last year Baltimore — not a country, the city in Maryland — Baltimore had 51 per 100,000. In other words, it’s more dangerous than El Salvador.

Baltimore clearly hasn’t benefited at all from America’s policy of unlimited immigration. None of this matters because for people like Joe Biden and the rest of this country’s ruling class, helping American citizens, stopping being the point a long time ago. The point is getting re-elected and feeling virtuous.

Well, speaking of, in 2018, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf got national attention by warning illegal aliens in her city about impending federal ICE raid.

MAYOR LIBBY SCHAAF: It is a continued perpetuation of a racist lie that immigrants are not valued members of our society. We in Oakland know better. We in Oakland have a community that welcomes and honors all people, no matter where they came from or how they got here.

CARLSON: Oh, she is an incredibly good person, unlike you, racist. Thanks to Libby Schaaf’s efforts, several wanted criminals eluded ICE’s grasp and Oakland became a top haven for illegal immigrants running from the law.

One of those immigrants has now taken a life. According to police, Madisyn Alandra Suzanne White-Carroll, was murdered by Roberto Martinez in a road rage incident last month. By the time police had identified Martinez as the killer, he had already fled the country.

The diverse stupidity and ignorance was dense, as Tucker noted with numerous quotes and examples.

For my money, the general innumerateness about world population growth as an immigration factor was the worst failing. The Democrats believe in open borders to the world and free healthcare to all comers — but do they know (or care?) that the number of humans on earth is now more than 7.7 billion, more than double that on the original Earth Day in 1970? Of those billions, many are poor and might like to live in Freebie America.

When a moderator requested of the candidates, “Raise your hand if your government plan would provide [medical] coverage for undocumented immigrants,” all responded affirmatively.

So how many world citizens would avail themselves of the abundant free stuff under a President Kamala Harris — one billion? Two?

The cartels that run the profitable border invasion would love to arrange a massive increase.

Foreigners have already transported themselves here illegally to mooch first-world healthcare at great cost to the unwilling American taxpayer. One memorable example was Mexican Ana Puente, who scrounged three liver transplants in California a decade ago when “The average cost of a liver transplant and first-year follow-up is nearly $490,000, and antirejection medications can run more than $30,000 annually.”

Now the Democrats want America to be the World’s Welfare Office rather than the national home of the citizens.

Tucker Carlson explained some of the memorable Democrat crazy talk:

Last night of course, marked the second straight Democratic primary debate. A lot of what passes for heavy hitters on the left were in attendance. Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders. On the question of immigration at least, they all seemed in total agreement.

CARLSON: Sorry for the tape mixed up there. That was the party’s youth wing, Antifa, making pretty much the same point. But watch Father Pete Buttigieg — and this is the right tape — and Buttigieg, keep in mind is not only a mayor and a presidential candidate, but he’s a self-described moral leader like Mahatma Gandhi or Jackson Browne. Watch him explain it’s just wrong, morally wrong, to maintain international borders:

MAYOR PETE BUTTIGIEG: That criminalization, that is the basis for family separation, you do away with that, it’s no longer possible. Of course, it wouldn’t be possible anyway, in my presidency, because it is dead wrong.

CARLSON: Got that? Sneaking into someone else’s country can never be a crime. It doesn’t matter if you’re a Chinese spy, an MS13 gang member, a drug mule with 20 kilos of heroin on your back. It doesn’t matter if you’re a human trafficker with a stable of child prostitutes. You are welcome here. We won’t judge you.

In fact, we will gladly pay for your comprehensive medical care, whatever it takes. That’s how much we hate ourselves. Watch:

CARLSON: Got that, Mr. and Mrs. American, you may be going broke trying to pay for your own family’s healthcare and many of you are, by the way, but now you get to pay for free healthcare for the rest of the whole world. Anyone who ignores our laws and sneaks in, you owe them benefits the second they get here. Got that, racist?

If you don’t like it, tough. The Democratic Party plans to disarm you. So you’re powerless. But Congressman Eric Swalwell promised to seize every semiautomatic rifle in this country.

CONGRESSMAN ERIC SWALWELL: I’m the only candidate on this stage calling for a ban and buyback of every single assault weapon in America.

CARLSON: That’s an actually actual Member of Congress. But wait, doesn’t the Constitution and a lot of these people are lawyer, so ask them this? Doesn’t the Constitution guarantee your right to keep and bear arms? Well, yes, the document says that. But once Bernie Sanders gets finished moving conservatives off Supreme Court, the left can do whatever it wants. Watch him explain:

SENATOR BERNIE SANDERS: I do not believe in packing the Court. We’ve got a terrible five four majority conservative court right now. But I do believe that constitutionally, we have the power to rotate judges to other courts and that brings in new blood into the Supreme Court.

CARLSON: Bernie Sanders talking about new blood, it’s all so great. But keep in mind, that’s not court packing. No, not even close. It’s court rotating. And that means getting rid of judges that Bernie Sanders doesn’t like, and installing judges who agree with Bernie Sanders. And that’s totally different.

The other candidates seemed on board with that or in any case, they were too busy attacking Joe Biden to notice what the old guy from Vermont was saying.

There was a lot to hit Biden on. Biden’s sex, his skin color, his sexual orientation. They’re all sins against the religion of wokeness. Plus, as Congressman Eric Swalwell helpfully pointed out, Joe Biden is really, really old.

SWALWELL: I was six years old when a presidential candidate came to the California Democratic Convention and said, “It’s time to pass the torch to a new generation of Americans.” That candidate was then Senator Joe Biden.

Joe Biden was right when he said it was time to pass the torch to a new generation of Americans 32 years ago, he is still right today. If we’re going to solve the issues of automation, pass the torch. If we’re going to solve the issues of climate chaos, pass the torch.

CARLSON: Got that old man? Joe Biden is a musty antique who ought to be eating soft food in Florida somewhere. And you know what else? He is a racist. A bitter elderly bigot. He is probably sitting in his den right now watching “Birth of a Nation” drinking Schlitz. Kamala Harris made that clear.

She started out by saying that Joe Biden is not a racist, meaning of course, he is definitely a racist.

SENATOR KAMALA HARRIS: I’m going to now direct this at Vice President Biden. I do not believe you are a racist, but you also work with them to oppose busing.

And, you know, there was a little girl in California, who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools, and she was bused to school every day, and that little girl was me.

CARLSON: Everything about that is fake. It’s hard to imagine what a disingenuous paragraph — where to begin. I mean, Kamala Harris implies that California schools were segregated in the 1970s? They were not. Some of us were there at the time.

Harris herself was not a civil rights hero, her father was literally a Stanford Economics Professor. She went to high school in Montreal, Canada. She was a child of privilege, if there ever was one.

As for forced busing, it’s amazing that anybody, particularly any Democrat would defend it. Busing didn’t work. It was an abject failure. Guess who hated it? Black families. It took black kids out of their neighborhoods, and it patronized them. It didn’t raise anybody’s scores in the end, busing didn’t work. Honest people on the left admit that.

Brookings admitted that. The only people who liked busing then and now are rich liberals, the ones totally insulated from the effects of their failed and stupid social policy.

Everyone else in this country, 90 percent of Americans, according to Gallup, polling at the height of busing, and that’s 90 percent of both black and white Americans, thought busing was awful. So good call Democrats. Run on that. More busing. Joe Biden is a racist.

By comparison, other liberal papers like the Washington Post and Los Angeles Times front-paged patriotic stories of remembrance suitable to the occasion.

Below, highlighting a Guatemalan moocher family was more important to the New York Times than honoring American military patriots lost in war defending this nation on the day remembering them.

And yes, foreign kiddies are arriving by the thousands, who will strain local schools with their inability to speak English, health concerns and needs for special treatment. Local communities will be forced to either raise taxes or cut services to citizen students.

Actually, the family profiled by the Times should complain that they had to ride the bus: the Associated Press reported that DHS has been flying aliens to various American cities.

Who knew open borders now include transport unblocked by the US government into the interior? This is not how I imagined the Trump Presidency.

DALLAS — By the time it pulled into Dallas, the bus from Arizona was two hours and 47 minutes late. It had left Phoenix overbooked, turned away passengers with tickets in Tucson, rolled through El Paso at 2am and finally disgorged its human cargo — a busload of exhausted migrants, mostly from Central America — shortly before dusk the next day.

A sign in the Greyhound bus terminal listed the ongoing routes that were already facing delayed departures: San Antonio, Los Angeles, Houston, Detroit, Atlanta, Brownsville. All of them would be late; most of them were full. Those who had missed their connections would need to wait in line, an agent announced, as the disembarking passengers — many of them with no food, no money and no possessions beyond what was in their slim backpacks — listened in stunned silence.

“My God, we are going to have to spend two nights here,” Zuleima Lopez, recently arrived from Guatemala with her husband and three children, murmured as she surveyed the ragged tableau inside the terminal. Refuse had long before overfilled the available trash bins, and a rank odour wafted out from the restrooms. Mothers, fathers and children huddled together on scraps of cardboard, atop tattered blankets and splayed jackets. Feverish babies with runny noses fussed in their mothers’ arms.

At one end of the station, several passengers jostled for $7.50 meal vouchers — 19 cents less than the cheapest cheeseburger combo — until, halfway through the line, the agent announced that there were no more vouchers.

A Greyhound road trip across the country has long been a hallmark of the American experience, a “leave the driving to us” way for those who couldn’t afford airfare or a car to come home from college, start new jobs, get to the coast, leave problematic situations behind.

But along the border and deep into parts of the nation’s interior, the Greyhound buses plying the interstate highway system have become an essential element in an extraordinary new migration.

Entering the country at a rate of more than 5,000 each day, new arrivals from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador are departing border towns by the busload. While President Donald Trump has made a point of threatening to send migrants from the border to inland sanctuary cities that oppose his immigration policies, it is an empty threat: Migrants are already travelling by the thousands every day to cities across the country — to Atlanta, Chattanooga, Orlando, Richmond, as well as to sanctuary cities, like New York, Los Angeles and Seattle.

After an initial 72 hours or so at Customs and Border Protection processing centres along the border, the vast majority of those entering the country now are released to nonprofit respite centres, where they are fed and clothed. From there, they are booked on Greyhound buses to destinations where they may have friends, family or the hope of a job. They pay top dollar, often $250 to $300 each, usually advanced by family members in the United States.

Long lines and bedraggled migrant travellers have become fixtures at bus stations across the Southwest — and a source of substantial new revenue for Greyhound, a company that had been struggling for footing in an era of cheap airfares and stiff competition on shorter-haul routes from companies like Megabus.

Currently owned by the British transport conglomerate FirstGroup, Greyhound filed for bankruptcy twice in the 1990s. More recently, the company introduced Bolt Bus express service, Wi-Fi access and other innovations, but falling fuel prices and the convenience of car and air travel continued to limit its ability to attract well-heeled customers.

Then came the crisis on the southwest border.

The Greyhound station in Dallas, the company’s headquarters, has been transformed by default into a temporary migrant shelter.

A similar scene has been playing out in cities across the Southwest. In McAllen, hundreds of migrants pack the station daily, lining up to board buses. In El Paso, hundreds at once have shown up at the terminal without warning, trying to find their way. In Phoenix, a swell in drop-offs by immigration authorities led Greyhound to restrict station access to those holding tickets, exposing families left outside to the rain.

Zuleima Lopez and her family had ridden a bus much of the way from Guatemala through Mexico, crossing into the United States with the help of a smuggler, but nothing prepared them for this new journey they would take through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas and Tennessee on a large, crowded bus. Now word has gotten out that America is back to being a soft touch, despite all Donald Trump’s tough talk that scared them off at first — there was a substantial drop in illegal border crossers in the first months of the Trump administration.

But as the news spreads of America’s border weakness, marauding job thieves are coming from around the world, illustrated very well by a Cameroonian man interviewed on Fox News on Tuesday.

REPORTER GRIFF JENKINS: I’m about 25 miles north of the Guatemala-Mexico border in the town of Tapachula; it’s been the stop for the caravans since they started coming. But one thing is very different and that is the word that our borders are open, that catch and release will let you stay in America, has gone global. We’ve run into migrants from Africa, from India, from Bangladesh, from Haiti, from Cuba. And we’ve only been here for about 24 hours.

We spoke to one gentleman, Saffa Sedhu (sp?) is his name, from Cameroon. Here is how he got here — this is unbelievable:

SAFFA SEDHU: I’m from Cameroon, and my journey started from Cameroon to Nigeria, from Nigeria to Turkey, from Turkey to Colombia, from Colombia to Panama, from Panama to Ecuador, from Ecuador I start coming by boats, I take by boat from Colombia to Capurgana. From Capurgana I had to walk in the jungle to Panama. When I arrived in Panama, I walk from camp to camp. I left Panama for Costa Rica. From Costa Rica to Nicaragua to Honduras, from Honduras to Guatemala, from Guatemala to Mexico now.

JENKINS: The goal is the same for all of them — to get to the US.

Now this, just to give you a quick shot, is the shelter where — remember the end of last week — 1300 migrants escaped from here because Mexico is detaining the migrants in these shelters. It’s overcrowded — if you look out here, these are the folks who couldn’t even get in, and they’re sleeping in the street. It’s obviously still late here, but the challenge now is that the makeup of these caravan flows is not just the Central Americans from Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and to lesser extent, Nicaragua.

Now it’s just a mix of people from all over the planet and this is obviously why ICE, CBP and others are putting a lot of resources, more resources, on the border we’re learning to particularly combat that fake family unit. We’ve been talking to the immigration officials here to try and find out if they’re doing anything here in Mexico to try and expose fraudulent family units as well.

The Cameroonian who was interviewed (pictured below) appears to be a healthy, moderately intelligent young man — why isn’t he working at home to build his own country instead of mooching off America? Instead of being a patriot in his homeland, he spent a lot of time and money to be a thief in a foreign country where he is not wanted.

Multiply him by a million this year, and it’s not only a disaster for the US as we are increasingly seen as the world’s welfare office, but the Third World countries are being abandoned by their own people.

That’s no way to run a planet that has over 7.7  billion human residents today, with no sign of slowing down.

Tucker Carlson did just that during his opening monologue on Thursday about the ways that immigration anarchy is changing America’s future — and not for the better.

In particular, extreme population growth fueled by foreigners (what’s happening now) will change the culture, since the newbies come only for the dollars, not to become Americans.

Assimilation is generally expected by citizens of new residents, but the topic is little discussed by the current crop of Democrats vying for a White House slot. In fact some, like Julian Castro, embrace invasion via open borders even though traditional citizens once took pride in America as a “nation of laws.” Now, the left demands Diversity above all else, more than any other value.

The United States used to value educated immigrants who could help with the work that needed done. Instead, we are now helpless to stop a million uneducated Hondurans and other Central Americans from illegally entering the country this year. They will supply cheap, simple labor for a while to insatiable business owners, but that will end soon when the smart machines take their jobs, as described on this blog for years and observed by Tucker in his remarks.

Experts agree: fundamental technological change is coming to all sorts of workplaces, and official Washington would be wise to pay attention.

TUCKER CARLSON (3:05): Negativity. That’s what the activist left now calls disagreement. They are not interested at all in what anyone outside their tiny little world has to say. Every day, you see Democratic presidential candidates endorsing some new policy that has pretty much zero public support, but it sounds like something woke baristas in Brooklyn would be excited about.

Banning ICE, ignoring federal immigration law, giving amnesty to millions. Decriminalizing illegal border crossings which is to say totally open borders. Anyone can come. When they get here, give them free stuff. Nobody really wants any of this even most of the people saying know, it wouldn’t work.

The public would revolt if you tried it. If half of Guatemala moved here tomorrow, which is exactly what would happen, it wouldn’t help anyone. This is all fantasy.

Countries have borders. That’s what makes them countries. Someday, the AOC moment will pass. It’s too stupid to continue. And at that point, sober Democrats will wake up and rejoin the adult conversation and progress. What do we want from our immigration system?

Well, here are some of the questions they should have to answer when that happens. First and most obvious, how many immigrants should we admit every year? What’s the ideal number? We currently take a little over a million every year, legally. Should we double that to over two million? How about 10 million immigrants a year? How about 20 million? Is there any number that’s too high? And if so, why?

While we are at it, what’s the ideal population of the United States? Immigration effects population size more than any other factor. We’re at about 325 million people in the United States today and that’s a lot.

Our highways are crumbling, many of our cities are painfully overcrowded. How big should we get? Four hundred million? Six hundred million? A billion people? And if you are pushing to increase the size of our population and they are, what’s your plan for keeping our natural environment pristine?

Crowded countries are polluted. Every single one of them. Tell us why we should want that here? What sort of skills and education should we look for in immigrants? Not all immigrants are the same? Some start wildly successful companies. Many others go on food stamps. They are not interchangeable widgets, they are human beings. Who should we prefer? What’s the ideal level of education an immigrant to this country should have?

Big business doesn’t want you to ask this question, they like their immigrants low-skilled and cheap. Ocasio-Cortez does, too. But what happens when technology kills their jobs? And it will. All the major Democrats running for president take money from the technology barons, many of them support self-driving cars. So what do you do with hundreds of thousands of unemployment immigrant cab drivers? Do they all go on welfare?

And speaking of, what sort of government services are immigrants entitled to exactly? Democrats promise universal healthcare. Do immigrants get that, too? Who pays for it? How many immigrants can our system support? Do we have enough doctors and nurses and hospitals to treat the number of immigrants we want to admit? Same question for schools.

The real answer is, of course, nobody knows. Because as of today, we have no idea how many immigrants live illegally in the United States. Shouldn’t we find out before we make more plans? And once we do find out, what do we do with them? Who gets deported? Anyone? Or do all of them get to stay? What if the real number of people living here illegally is north of 25 million? And that’s entirely possible. That’s bigger than the population of 48 out of 50 states. It’s enough to change this country completely and forever.

Do all of them get citizenship and voting rights? What about gun rights? And do they immediately start paying into the Reparations for Slavery Fund that Democrats are now promoting? How do you explain that to them? Can we watch that conversation?

And finally what about America’s ideals? Democrats are always talking about values when the subject of immigration comes up. They quote from the poem on the Statue of Liberty and tell you about their grandparents.

Well, previous waves of immigrants were asked to buy into this country’s most basic ideals — religious pluralism, free speech, political freedom, equality under the law. Our schools made them learn English and tried to instill patriotism. We called it assimilation. We thought it was critical to our social cohesion. Are we still for that? Do we still think we have values to impart or do we imagine that huge groups of people with nothing in common can share the same country without fighting each other?

It’s an important question — maybe the most important question of all. We never hear anyone ask it. Anyone who dares ask it is banned from Twitter. Instead, you hear the endless drone of self-righteous children barking about racism. That’s not enough. The decisions we make today about immigration are irreversible. It will help determine the health of the country we leave to our grandchildren. We should be a lot more serious than we are.

But on Tuesday, he came out swinging, passionately taking on the illegal immigration issue that sets lefties off.

How backwards can government get? The United States is supposed to be the nation by and for American citizens; it is not the World Welfare Office for the moochers of the planet. When foreigners carry their homeland flags as they assault the American border, it is Invasion, not “migration.”

Democrats and some Republicans are willing to put the future of this nation at risk for short term political or financial gain. President Trump has gone over to the dark side of increasing legal immigration even while automation is replacing more humans in low-skilled jobs every day. Does he really think his base will turn out to vote for him in 2020?

TUCKER CARLSON: Good evening and welcome to “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” Donald Trump ran on the promise that he would secure our southern border when he ran in 2016. He ran on other things, too — trade, Obamacare and ending the Iran deal, but it was immigration that resonated. No other candidate was saying anything like it. Voters loved it — that’s why they yelled, “Build that wall” at his rallies.

More than two years later, we have less control though over immigration into this country than we did the day Trump launched his campaign. Entire populations from Latin American are moving north. In February, authorities apprehended 76,000 illegal arrivals at the Mexican border, but last month that number had ballooned to 100,000.

They are coming because they know that they can come. Our current system can’t stop them. If illegal immigrants show up here with children, they are almost certain to be released into the United States. They will never be deported.

Close to 100 percent of children and families detained at the border last year are still here. It’s a scam. Before 2013, only one percent of aliens arriving at the U.S. border sought asylum based on credible fear in their home countries. Now, more than 10 percent do. They know the script. Even CNN can’t lie about it anymore.

Yesterday, to his credit, one of their anchors went to the border and talked to people trying to cross illegally into the U.S. Watch this conversation. It is the most honest thing that has run on CNN in a long time.

CNN ANCHOR CHRIS CUOMO: Why did he take his kid with him to come here if it’s just to work.

ILLEGAL ALIEN: [Speaking SPANISH].

TRANSLATOR: As what you and I were talking about, he says that if he comes here with his son, then he is allowed to stay. He thinks he is allowed to stay.

CUOMO: He think he is allowed. . . He says it is word of mouth.

TRANSLATOR: Coyotes, smugglers, word of mouth.

CUOMO: The smugglers are telling him, you bring your kid, you can get in.

CARLSON: If he comes here with his son, then he is allowed to stay. Our current political class has spent years pretending that is not true. In villages across Central America, they know it is true. Come to America and bring your kids, free schools, free healthcare, higher wages. They can’t kick you out.

If you lived in Honduras, you would come here, too. We are begging them to come here. No wonder immigration is out of control. They know that we are happy to give our country away as we are.

Our lawmakers are allowing this to happen. They could close the loopholes that allow it in about an hour, but they haven’t done that. They likely won’t do it. They show no interest in the effects this invasion is having on normal Americans — the suppressed wages, the stolen identities, the clogged emergency rooms and failing public schools, the fentanyl crisis. They don’t care.

The Chamber of Commerce tells us that everything is fine. Just yesterday, they attacked the White House for even suggesting we might have to shut down the border to protect the country. Guacamole prices might rise. Democrats, meanwhile, rejoice in the scale of this disaster. More illegal immigration means more power for them. They are actively for it.

Everyone running for the Democratic nomination agrees on this.

BETO O’ROURKE: Yes.

HAYES: You’ll knock it down.

SEN. ELIZABETH WARREN: Offer a home to refugees. That is who we are. That is our values. That’s part of what we do.

JULIAN CASTRO: So, instead of building a wall or closing the border, we should choose compassion instead of cruelty.

SEN. KAMALA HARRIS: We welcome refugees and bring people out of the shadows.

SEN. BERNIE SANDERS: Spending as a down payment $5.7 billion on a wall is not an effective use of tax dollars when we talk about border security. There are better ways to do it.

SEN. KIRSTEN GILLIBRAND: Immigration is not a security issue. It is an economic and a humanitarian and family issue. There is no such thing as an illegal human.

CARLSON: There is no such thing as an illegal human says the sitting United States Senator. So no, Congress is not going to fix this. Our big cities won’t help. They are all sanctuaries for illegals now. The Courts aren’t helping, it’s not their job to protect the border anyway, it’s the job of the Executive Branch, it always has been. So how are they going to fix this?
