Apparently the outfits they arrived in weren’t nice enough.

Taxpayers paid for the outfits, thanks to the generous Biden administration, and outgoing dollars for invaders are just beginning. Wait till the hundreds of thousands of kiddies arrive in local schools and need special services for language, healthcare, food and whatever else they might require. We’ve been there, done that during the Obama administration, but now the border is wide open so there are many more foreigners sucking up resources that should go to citizen kids.

Here’s the accompanying article showing the costs charged to unwilling citizens are just beginning:

U.S. taxpayers pay to reunite illegal immigrant families amid border surge, Washington Times, By Stephen Dinan, April 8, 2021

Taxpayers are footing the bill for illegal immigrant parents to collect their children from federal shelters, as the Biden administration tries to speed up the process of getting a record surge of juvenile migrants out of its custody.

Nearly 19,000 unaccompanied children were nabbed jumping the border in March, the Department of Homeland Security revealed Thursday, doubling the number from February and shattering the previous record of about 11,500, set in May 2019.

And while it wasn’t a record, the surge in families attempting to jump the border was also stunning, rising by more than 175% in just one month and suggesting that the unaccompanied children, while drawing the most attention, are not the biggest long-term challenge.

Combined, the families and unaccompanied children accounted for about 72,500 of the 172,331 illegal border encounters Customs and Border Protection recorded in March.

Troy Miller, CBP’s acting commissioner, suggested the situation was under control.

“This is not new,” he said of the surging numbers. “Encounters have continued to increase since April 2020, and our past experiences have helped us be better prepared for the challenges we face this year.”

But analysts said given the current trends, CBP is on track for 1.2 million encounters with illegal border crossers, which would be far above anything the country’s seen since the Bush years. (Continues)

A recent Gallup poll found that 42 million persons in Latin America and the Caribbean would like to relocate to the United States.

That number is sobering enough, but foreigners from around the world now travel to the Mexican border to enter the US illegally or by making asylum claims (which were rejected 99 percent of the time under Trump). A migration-themed Reuters article from March 12 noted, “Tijuana also has a large population of Haitian migrants as well as migrants who traveled from Africa.”

So looking only at aliens from the western hemisphere is short-sighted, because they are coming from around the world to grab Biden’s America-destroying freebies.

Below, in 2018 thousands of Indian citizens showed up to claim asylum at the US-Mexico border

 width=

A 2018 Gallup poll looked at the worldwide desire to migrate and found that 15 percent of the world’s people — that’s more than 750 million — would like to relocate. One third of sub-Saharan Africans would do so, the highest percentage worldwide. The top choice was the United States, with 158 million desirous of moving here.

Meanwhile, a 2020 Gallup poll reported World Grows Less Accepting of Migrants. So all that imported cultural diversity has not worked out so well in actual practice.

Here’s a blog about the recent Gallup poll:

THE CHAIRMAN’S BLOG: 42 Million Want to Migrate to U.S., Gallup Polls, March 24, 2021

Here are questions every leader should be able to answer regardless of their politics: How many more people are coming to the southern border? And what is the plan?

There are 33 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Roughly 450 million adults live in the region. Gallup asked them if they would like to move to another country permanently if they could.

A whopping 27% said “yes.”

This means roughly 120 million would like to migrate somewhere.

Gallup then asked them where they would like to move.

Of those who want to leave their country permanently, 35% — or 42 million — said they want to go to the United States.

Seekers of citizenship or asylum are watching to determine exactly when and how is the best time to make their move.

In addition to finding a solution for the thousands of migrants currently at the border, let’s include the bigger, harder question — what about all of those who would like to come? What is the message to them?

What is the 10-year plan?

330 million U.S. citizens are wondering. So are 42 million Latin Americans.

In fact, the cartels are “telling migrants ‘border will be open’ when Biden takes over” according to Rep. Henry Cuellar.

The Times’ December 14 front page featured a sob-story style photo of a sniffling illegal alien about to be returned to his actual country of citizenship.

We wouldn’t expect him to work with his fellow citizens to improve their home societies, as was the case in years past: Latin America had many freedom fighters who worked for positive change in earlier centuries. But that was before it became easy to invade the US, steal jobs and obtain free stuff from the welfare office.

Interestingly, the article quotes one foreigner early on that “We are not bad people. We come to work.” But there is no mention that millions of Americans are still jobless because of the China virus shutdown of businesses. The press ignores that there is no need for more workers during this time of high unemployment among citizens. Nevertheless, adding more immigrants remains a top task for scribblers.

Once again, the media pursues its Diversity First agenda rather than supporting law and order. The press evidently believes that the United States should be welfare office to the world, or as the Times remarks “a safe haven for people fleeing persecution.”

Remember that the Third World population continues to grow by millions every year, so the pressure to invade the US will only increase.

As Biden Prepares to Take Office, a New Rush at the Border, New York Times, December 13, 2020

SASABE, Ariz. — By the time the Border Patrol spotted the two migrants in a tangle of shrubs on a frigid December morning, they had been meandering aimlessly in the desert for six days. They had lost their way on the final leg of a monthlong journey from Guatemala, encountering only herds of javelinas, lone coyotes and skin-piercing cactuses as they staggered north. Exhausted, thirsty and cold, they did not resist arrest.

Less than two hours later, agents had already processed them and deposited them back across the border in Mexico. Alfonso Mena, his jeans ripped at the knee, shivered with his companion on a bench less than 300 yards from Arizona and sobbed uncontrollably.

“What wouldn’t you do to help your children get ahead?” he said. A landscaping job in Houston awaited him, he said, and his family was counting on him. “We are not bad people. We come to work.”

It was not the first time he had tried to enter the United States. And it was unlikely to be the last.

Unauthorized entries are swelling in defiance of the lockdown President Trump imposed on the border during the pandemic and shaping up as the first significant challenge to President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s pledge to adopt a more compassionate policy along America’s 1,100-mile border with Mexico.

After a steep decline in border crossings through much of this year, interceptions of unauthorized migrants along the Arizona-Mexico border are climbing again: Detentions in October were up 30 percent over September, and .the figure in coming months is expected be even higher, despite the biting cold in the Sonoran desert.

The rising numbers suggest that the Trump administration’s expulsion policy, an emergency measure to halt spread of the coronavirus, is encouraging migrants to make repeated tries, in ever-more-remote locations, until they succeed in crossing the frontier undetected.

And they are likely the leading edge of a much more substantial surge toward the border, immigration analysts say, as a worsening economy in Central America, the disaster wrought by Hurricanes Eta and Iota and expectations of a more lenient U.S. border policy drive ever-larger numbers toward the United States.

New migrant caravans formed in Honduras in recent weeks, defying that country’s coronavirus-related lockdown in a bid to head toward the United States but were prevented from leaving the country. And the pandemic has decimated livelihoods in Mexico, prompting a rise in migration from that country after a 15-year decline.

“The pressures that have caused flows in the past have not abated and, in fact, have gotten worse because of the pandemic. If there is a perception of more-humane policies, you are likely to see an increase of arrivals at the border,” said T. Alexander Aleinikoff, director of the Zolberg Institute on Migration and Mobility at the New School in New York.

“That doesn’t mean that those flows cannot be adequately handled with a comprehensive set of policies that are quite different from Trump’s,” said Mr. Aleinikoff, “but you need a well-functioning bureaucracy to handle it.”

Mr. Biden has vowed to begin undoing the “damage” inflicted by the Trump administration’s border policies. He has said he will end a program that has returned tens of thousands of asylum seekers to Mexico and restore the country’s historical role as a safe haven for people fleeing persecution. Perhaps he thought President Trump had it covered, even though excessive immigration threatens the historic nature of America.

At any rate, on Friday Tucker interviewed Andrew Arthur, a former judge who is currently affiliated with the Center for Immigration Studies. His CIS bio notes employment with the Immigration and Naturalization Service and eight years working as an immigration judge in Pennsylvania. So Arthur knows the topic from inside the system.

One aspect of this discussion lurking in the background is the preference of Democrats for foreigners over Americans. As it happens, hispanics prefer the Democrat philosophy of Big Government, as shown in a 2012 Pew Research survey. So that correlation of viewpoints works out well for Democrats, but not so much for Americans as a whole.

A Democrat-run government with a President Biden would definitely put immigration on the front burner again — and not in a good way.

TUCKER CARLSON: Welcome back to a special edition of Tucker Carlson Tonight. Republicans were not able to pass any kind of immigration bill restricting immigration, protecting our borders over the past several years, but if Democrats take control of the Senate on January 5th, they won’t be quite as passive. The first thing they will do is to fundamentally change our immigration system — open the borders to the rest of the world. They’re not hiding this; they’ve been open about it for months.

JOE BIDEN (TV clip): Some of it’s going to depend on the kind of cooperation I can or cannot get from the United States Congress, but I am going to make a commitment: in the first hundred days I will send a immigration bill to the United States Senate with a pathway to citizenship for over 11 million undocumented people in America.

CARLSON: First of all it’s not 11 million — you’d have to be 119 years old to think that — it’s over 20 million. But the macro point is this: millions of Americans have been looking for work for so long that they’ve given up looking; they’re not even listed on the unemployment stats. Now Democrats plan to give them more competition in the labor market. So who’s benefiting from this exactly? Not Americans. Andrew Arthur is the Resident Fellow in Law and Policy for the Center of Immigration Studies, and we’re happy to have him on tonight. Andrew, thanks for coming on.

ANDREW ARTHUR: Thank you for having me.

CARLSON: Who does benefit from this exactly?

ARTHUR: Well. the people who benefit from this are big business. Wealthy people benefit from open borders, essentially limitless immigration because for them everything comes cheaper. Food is cheaper; you go to the grocery store, rather than paying you know 39 cents for a head of lettuce, you pay 35 cents for a head of lettuce. You can get your lawn cut cheaper, you can get your house painted cheaper, but the people who suffer the most, Tucker, are the people who are at the margins of society, the people that we you know usually hear that these folks care about — disadvantaged Americans, inner city youth, members of minority groups and immigrants who haven’t adjusted to life in the United States yet. Those are the people who are in direct competition because most of the people who enter the United States illegally are people who don’t have high levels of education, don’t have a lot of work skills. Now there’s nothing you know wrong with that — my father never went to college, worked in a steel mill. But when you bring in a huge mass of uneducated unskilled individuals to directly compete against Americans, those Americans suffer.

CARLSON: And it’s also true at the higher end. I mean our schools were bad before covid; now the schools are just shut down and kids are learning nothing. Nobody seems to care and instead of fixing that, they’ve decided, well we’re just going to bring in more educated people from India and China to do jobs that Americans aren’t qualified to do. I mean it kind of removes any incentive to fix American schools, doesn’t it?

ARTHUR: It really does, and you know there’s this canard that you know we need more STEM graduates. A few years ago the the Census Bureau did a survey in which they found that about 25 percent of people who had STEM degrees were working in a STEM job, and we’ve seen this over and over again. Computer programmers are brought in; IT people are brought in from abroad on temporary visa programs, and even right now the United States Congress is considering a bill that would make it so much easier for Big Tech to bring in those tech workers to replace our students that we encourage to go get tech jobs for the 21st century. Well, those jobs aren’t going to be available to them if this happens. So you know these are things that Americans really need to think about if they have kids, and yes we’ve seen the quality of our own schools go down. We need to be putting more money into educational opportunities, but we also need to have jobs for those students to take. I’ve seen it you know again and again in cities across America.

CARLSON: Only 25 percent of STEM graduates held jobs in STEM in science and technology — that’s an amazing statistic, Andrew Arthur. I appreciate you coming on. Thank you.

And here’s the 2014 Census Bureau survey of STEM graduates and their employment: Census Bureau Reports Majority of STEM College Graduates Do Not Work in STEM Occupations.

Impeachment — What Are Democrats Up To? https://www.limitstogrowth.org/articles/2019/09/30/impeachment-what-are-democrats-up-to/ Mon, 30 Sep 2019 22:44:25 +0000 https://www.limitstogrowth.org/?p=18193 President Trump’s speech last Tuesday at the United Nations was notable for strong statements on several subjects, particular its support for national sovereignty against globalism. He stood up for America while still being respectful of other countries and their rights. He discussed immigration at length, and that it’s not beneficial for either the sending or receiving nations.

Others were impressed with the UN speech. Fox Business host Lou Dobbs and Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd agreed the Trump was pleasantly specific about border enforcement, viewable in the video below:

LOU DOBBS: I don’t know if you knew how strong he would be on the issues of sovereignty and border security and illegal immigration, but I have to say it was an extraordinary speech in all respects, but on the subjects of immigration and sovereignty especially.

BRANDON JUDD: That couldn’t have been stated any more eloquently. He’s taking the case directly to the American public. He’s calling the Democrats out for their hypocrisy; they refuse to enter into an honest conversation because they know they are going to lose on the facts. so what he’s doing is he’s specifically going to the American public and making the case, and he’s giving them the facts and letting them decide. That’s a very good day for Border Patrol agents.

There’s a clip of Trump at 3:24 speaking to the world community:

PRESIDENT TRUMP: To anyone conducting crossing of our border illegally, please hear these words: do not pay the smugglers; do not pay the coyotes; do not put yourself in danger; do not put your children in danger. If you make it here, you will not be allowed in. You will be promptly returned home. You will not be released into our country.

Radio talker Rush Limbaugh concurred about the speech, remarking:

RUSH LIMBAUGH: I mean, it was fantastic. The content of this speech was a grand-slam home run. I think it was purposely delivered in a more low-key than usual manner so as to make sure that Trump’s personality did not step on the content because he was dead serious during all of this. He was not loud. There was no braggadocios or bombastic personality in this speech. There were no off-the-prompter ad-libs. This was solid from beginning to end and it was intended for every word to be heard, for every word to register, for every word to be noted.

But a few hours later, Speaker Pelosi announced an impeachment inquiry in the House, so the evening news was filled with Pelosi’s demand for his removal rather than Trump’s defense of American sovereignty. The historic UN speech just disappeared.

Some reports note Pelosi’s rapid change of mind on the impeachment issue — was it Trump’s effective UN address that flipped the switch at that time? Possibly.

Interestingly, recent polls show the public opposed to impeaching the president, but the Dems are proceeding anyway. Pelosi has said she is willing to lose the House majority over it. The left party wants Trump out really bad and is will to do whatever it takes to make it happen.

Limbaugh opined on Friday that the impeachment is “about making sure the American people do not learn the extent of the corruption in the Obama administration and the Democrat Party at large.”

Being able to portray the D-Party as a legitimate not-totally-corrupt representative of the American people would be a major motivator to destroy the Trump administration.

Here’s the Trump speech at the UN and a transcript:

What are the odds of such a “coincidence”?? It’s amazing!

As mentioned earlier here, the Times held a big strategy meeting recently to switch the lies against Trump from the failed Russia hoax to the more easily administered accusation of “Racist!” Apparently the Post has signed on as well, since both articles included unproven charges against Miller.

Such allegations take little effort to deliver since the leftist media assumes anyone who objects to lawless open borders is of course a racist. Why else would a government official want to protect America from criminals, terrorists and job thieves?

Here’s the Times example:

How Stephen Miller Rode an Anti-Immigration Wave to the White House, New York Times, August 18, 2019

WASHINGTON — When historians try to explain how opponents of immigration captured the Republican Party, they may turn to the spring of 2007, when President George W. Bush threw his waning powers behind a legalization plan and conservative populists buried it in scorn.

Mr. Bush was so taken aback, he said he worried about America “losing its soul,” and immigration politics have never been the same.

That spring was significant for another reason, too: An intense young man with wary, hooded eyes and fiercely anti-immigrant views graduated from college and began a meteoric rise as a Republican operative. With the timing of a screenplay, the man and the moment converged.

Stephen Miller was 22 and looking for work in Washington. He lacked government experience but had media appearances on talk radio and Fox News and a history of pushing causes like “Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week.” A first-term congresswoman from Minnesota offered him a job interview and discovered they were reading the same book: a polemic warning that Muslim immigration could mean “the end of the world as we know it.”  [. . .]

Some of Mr. Miller’s Latino classmates say his comments made them feel personally attacked. In an interview, Jason Islas said Mr. Miller told him he was ending their friendship for reasons that included “my Latino heritage.” He added, “I think he is a racist.”

The Post started with a portrait of Miller as a puppet-master, but at least had the decency to allow him a response to the racism allegation:

How Stephen Miller authors Trump’s immigration policy, Washington Post, August 18, 2019

At President Trump’s speeches and rallies, Stephen Miller often can be found backstage, watching the teleprompter operator. As other White House staffers chat or look at their phones, Miller’s attention remains glued to the controls.

The energy and crowd-thrilling parts of Trump’s speeches usually happen during his impromptu diversions from the planned address. When Trump veers, colleagues say, Miller sometimes directs the operator to scroll higher or lower through the speech, so when the president is ready to pick it up again, he will hit those passages and make those points.

Miller knows where he wants the president to go.  [. . .]

Among Miller’s co-workers are a few who believe he harbors racist views. “I don’t know what other principle could animate such a laserlike focus,” said one former career official at DHS.

Miller bristled at the claim, calling anyone who labels him a racist “an ignorant fool, a liar and a reprobate who has no place in civilized society.”

“It is a scurrilous and scandalous lie born of a complete and total lack of understanding of the harms done by uncontrolled migration to people of all backgrounds, and born of a contempt for this nation, for our law enforcement officers and for the citizens who live here — and oftentimes, I might add, born of a personal grudge against this administration,” Miller said, without pause.

It goes without saying that the leftist media purveyors despise Trump voters as well as pro-sovereignty government.

Apparently the Koch Brothers have such a philosophy and their millions of dollars in political donations to Republican candidates have shaped the party’s behavior for years.

Unfortunately, the Kochs are no friends of borders or national sovereignty, and Republicans’ failure to enact any restrictionist measures when they owned both the House and Senate in 2016-18 is due in part to the power of Koch money.

Tucker Carlson discussed the influential Koch brothers earlier this summer, noting that “the border is more porous than ever. . . you can thank the Kochs for that.”

On Wednesday, Tucker returned to the Koch topic, interviewing Christopher Leonard, author of the new book Kochland: The Secret History of Koch Industries and Corporate Power in America:

Spare audio:

TUCKER CARLSON: For years, brothers, Charles and David Koch have been the two single most important donors on the American right. They’ve reshaped the Republican Party, according to their personal ideology. They made the party far more libertarian, much more pro-immigration, and more pro-Big Tech.

Even if the Republican Party has evolved and elected Donald Trump, the Koch brothers remain tremendously influential, more than you may understand. And if you’re frustrated, watching the party ignore what its own voters want, it is part of the reason.

Well, there is a new book out that takes a very close look at the Koch business and political empire. Chris Leonard is the author of it. It’s called “Kochland: The Secret History of Koch Industries and Corporate Power in America.” We just spoke with him. Here’s what he said.

CARLSON: So for my perspective — my interest is the political activities of the Kochs who by the way, I can say, since I know them, are very nice people, personally.

CHRISTOPHER LEONARD: Absolutely. Absolutely.

CARLSON: But there’s a misconception in Washington that they’re conservative. Tell me what you discovered about their ideology after writing this book. Are they conservatives?

LEONARD: Well, you know, I think you’ve gotten it exactly right, in the sense that they’re not traditional conservatives, as you might think of that today.

Charles Koch is an engineer and you’re right, he is a really nice guy, I interviewed him for this book, I’ve been around the people who have worked for him for decades. Charles Koch believes he’s found the blueprint for how to organize society.

He is very libertarian. In his view, the best way to structure a society is just a free market exchange system. That’s it. And I call it a blueprint, intentionally. You can’t argue with a blueprint. If you mess up something in a blueprint, the building will collapse. You can’t argue with physics.

And I think Charles Koch sees his political ideology in that way. He believes that the only way you can structure society is as a market. And when the government intervenes, it ultimately does more harm than good in his view. It causes more problems than it solves.

CARLSON: So our viewers can assess what they think of their views. I do bet that most of our viewers disagree with them on immigration. They’ve been strong advocates, I would say for opening the borders. How powerful are they — the Koch brothers and Charles Koch — particularly within the Republican Party, would you say?

LEONARD: Extremely powerful. You nailed it at the beginning. Charles Koch has been patiently executing a political project since the mid-1970s, and that is to make America more libertarian and his goal in that, his primary goal has been to reshape the Republican Party.

And particularly since the 2000s, you’ve seen the Koch network writ large, which is a multifaceted machine that includes a grassroots group of people called Americans for Prosperity. It includes one of the largest corporate lobbying shops in the United States. It includes a constellation of think tanks here in Washington.

All of these resources have been put to bear to shift the Republican Party more toward what Charles Koch would call a classical liberal ideology, totally libertarian, basically moving the federal government back to the size it was in 1776.

CARLSON: So you’ve seen from the various Koch organizations, some of which you just listed recently, this line that we really don’t have anything to fear from Big Tech, that Republicans are being hysterical conservatives. This show for example, being hysterical about Google or Facebook, just calm down, everything is totally fine.

Why would they — which is obviously a lie — but why would they be telling us that?

LEONARD: So this is all part of the bigger picture in my view, and we have to go back to when Trump won the election and surprised the entire political landscape of America.

Donald Trump and what this administration is doing is essentially unacceptable to the Koch network, if you will, because Donald Trump has proven that his administration is willing to intervene in the markets to get a beneficial outcomes for the people who voted for him. That’s how I would put it. So Trump is willing to use tariffs.

Trump is willing to tear apart trade deals. And that impulse needs to be kept in check if you’re part of the Koch political machine. So if you start talking about regulating any company, if you start talking about regulating these tech companies, the Koch network is going to try to push you back off that as aggressively as they can.

CARLSON: Which you described in this book, which I would recommend to our viewers, are people who care more about ideas than outcomes, who really are ideologues in the classic sense of that term, and you know, maybe that’s appealing to people, and we will let viewers make up their own minds.

But this is an interesting book, “Kochland: The Secret History of Koch Industries and Corporate Power in America.” Thank you very much, Chris.

Media attention is helpful, because officials like to ignore the fact that open borders have been very harmful to young Americans, from dumbing down primary grades to allowing murderous foreign gangs to terrorize high schools.

On Thursday, the Times included the photo below on its front page.

Wednesday’s story, titled With student’s killing, MS-13 gang’s bloody campaign ensnared LA-area high school, included the following diversity fact as the 23rd paragraph:

Nearly 91% of Panorama High students entered school as children with limited English skills. Even in high school, about 30% remain in classes for non-native speakers.

But more alarming was Thursday’s article which highlighted the cover-up perpetuated by law enforcement and school administrators: a student was reportedly murdered by MS-13 gangsters, two of whom who also attend the school, but parents didn’t need to know. Plus, the paper wrote, “MS-13 had established a significant beachhead at Panorama” which is the language of conquest. Open borders have terrible effects.

MS-13 gang created beachhead at LA-area high school, but authorities insisted on secrecy, Los Angeles Times, July 27, 2019

LOS ANGELES — Law enforcement and school officials have defended 21 months of secrecy around the murder investigation of a Panorama High School student at the hands of MS-13 — one part of a grisly rampage that has generated national headlines and left at least 10 people dead.

They said there was no need to alert teachers, parents and students because other students were never in danger, the gang had little presence on campus, and no acts of gang violence affected the campus itself.

But a month before the October 2017 off-campus slaying of Brayan Andino, another incident linked to MS-13 erupted at the edge of the San Fernando Valley campus.

At least two MS-13 members, including two former Panorama students, are suspected of stabbing and wounding a student as he was leaving school, officials acknowledged.

According to a federal indictment unsealed this month, the assailants approached the victim, identified in court documents as B.C., and yelled, “MS!” — signifying their gang affiliation. They challenged “whether B.C. was from a rival gang,” according to the indictment.

The student “said he did not ‘gangbang,’” but the attackers paid no heed and “stabbed B.C. in the back and abdomen” as he tried to climb over the school’s perimeter fence. The injured student was enrolled in Cal Burke High School, an alternative program on the Panorama campus that has a separate entrance. The attackers fled and B.C. staggered to the school office, which called for help.

Law enforcement sources told the Los Angeles Times that MS-13 had established a significant beachhead at Panorama. And, although Brayan, 16, was killed off campus, it was two girls at the school who investigators say coaxed him to Lake Balboa Park, where gang members, including other classmates, were waiting.

The L.A. Unified School District has denied the presence of a gang clique at the school and said it left the question of whether parents and students should have been alerted to investigators.

As details of the gang’s connections have become public over the last week, some parents and teachers have questioned why officials didn’t alert the campus community earlier.

Only after authorities announced federal indictments of 22 adults on racketeering and murder charges on July 16 did officials with the Los Angeles Unified School District acknowledge that students from Panorama High had also been arrested.

Prosecutors allege that all of the accused are members of a violent subset of MS-13 that killed seven people — including Brayan — over a span of more than two years. Three more deaths linked to MS-13 are being handled in state court, officials said.

“In situations like these, we rely on the best judgment of the law enforcement experts who are working to uncover the truth and bring perpetrators to justice,” said school board member Kelly Gonez, who represents that area. “The best way to ensure the safety of our students, staff and families at Panorama High School and the broader community is to ensure that these violent criminals are arrested and put in jail.”

One result of the secrecy was that after Brayan went missing in late October 2017, school administrators said nothing about it. When his body was found in mid-December they continued to stay mum. Nor was there word about his funeral or any statements of condolence. Principal Rafael Gaeta referred to Brayan as “missing,” said staff members interviewed by the Times. The school district has declined to make Gaeta available for an interview. (Continues)

Public officials from mayors to senators have lined up to support foreign fugitives against orderly law enforcement. Hillary Clinton, the 2016 Democrat candidate for president, tweeted out instructions in Spanish about how to avoid apprehension by immigration agents.

More than that, the Democrat shriek-out over a lawful action to remove aliens has demonstrated how little Dems care about Americans’ safety and quality of life. The presence of many millions of illegal aliens has brought more crime, decreased quality of education and lowered wages for citizen workers.

The truth is, Democrats have now outed themselves as preferring foreigners over American citizens. Hopefully voters will remember in 2020.

On Friday, Tucker Carlson considered the Democrats’ pro-lawbreaker reactions along with Buck Sexton, who helpfully enumerated the various crimes being committed by the illegal aliens and their friends in the Democrat party.

Too bad none of the treasonous pols will ever be held to account in any serious way.

Spare Audio:

TUCKER CARLSON: After several weeks of delay, this weekend, starting tomorrow, the Trump administration is planning to do something that it ran on back in 2016, enforcing the immigration laws of this country.

ICE is expected to launch raids in several American sanctuary cities. It’ll be seeking people who’ve received final orders of removal from this country, from a court.

According to the President, most of these people have already been convicted of other more serious crimes.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: It’s not something I like doing, but people have come into our country illegally. We’re focused on criminals. We are focused on — if you look at MS-13. But when people come into our country, we take those people out and we take them out very legally. They all have papers, and it’s a process and I have an obligation to do it.

CARLSON: Now, the Democratic Party has been committed to keeping the borders open for — well, really all of Donald Trump’s presidency so far — but they usually hide their intentions at least a little bit. They’ll say that people deserve their day in court first or they will argue that only criminals ought to be deported.

But this case is unambiguous. Every person being targeted by ICE starting this weekend has already received a final order for removal. In other words, they’ve had their day in court. They’re not being held in ICE facilities at the border. Many of them have criminal convictions.

At this point, it’s a simple matter of enforcing America’s laws. Bill Clinton did it. Barack Obama did it. But that was before. So these Democrats have made their decision. American laws do not matter. Nobody should be deported, ever.

BETO O’ROURKE: These massive raids and internal enforcement operations, they are going to separate potentially thousands of families, many of whom have committed no crime against this country, pose no threat to the United States of America.

REP. OCASIO-CORTEZ: I’d hope that we can come together as a party and stand up against what should be seen, I think universally as a cruel regime.

SEN. RICHARD BLUMENTHAL: Innocent people who may be swept up and arrested in massive raids across the country.

MAYOR PETE BUTTIGIEG: If rumors start going on about raids, let alone if it starts actually happening, it immediately makes the community less safe.

SEN. CORY BOOKER: We could be using these law enforcement resources to really go after the folks that are a real threat to our communities. This is all kinds of wrong, and we’re better country than this.

SPEAKER NANCY PELOSI: Families belong together. Every person in America has rights.

SEN. KAMALA HARRIS: And so he is going to create, as he often does, this distraction. I agree with you — and do these raids, which is — it is a crime against humanity.

CARLSON: Telling people who’ve been told by a court, by a judge, they must legally leave the country, enforcing that is a crime against humanity, says Kamala Harris.

Hillary Clinton meanwhile, piped up from retirement or whatever she’s doing these days. The same woman who claims that Russian Facebook trolls are a threat to democracy, decided to actively assist smuggling people into this country.

She posted a guide to evading ICE on Twitter, and added “Por pavor comparte,” that’s “Please share” in Spanish.

In the State of California meanwhile, Governor Gavin Newsom has released an instructional video informing his States’ criminals on how they can avoid law enforcement. Watch.

GOV. GAVIN NEWSOM: I just want to say to folks that are anxious about a knock on the door, when we talk about knowing your rights, no abras la puerta. Without a warrant, you don’t have to open the door. Without a warrant, you do not have to open the door.

CARLSON: So picture a Republican Governor making a video used with taxpayer money telling voters how to — I don’t know — cheat on their taxes or how to buy illegal guns. What would the reaction be? Well, CNN of course, will call for them to be imprisoned. But it wouldn’t, because they care about the law, obviously, Republicans do.

On the left, a new reality is now explicit. Our laws and our Constitution are only valid if they’re in accord with current Democratic Party talking points. Otherwise, you can ignore them.

Buck Sexton is the host of “The Buck Sexton Show” and he joins us tonight. So Buck, you know, you hate to be continuously outraged over the same story. But every week, it seems to get crazier and crazier. And now we have lawmakers calling enforcement of the law a crime against humanity. Where does this end?

BUCK SEXTON: There’s a momentum to the insanity at this point, Tucker.

It’s quite clear that they are engaged in mass nullification of immigration law, that that is what is happening now. At any stage of the process, whether it’s in sanctuary cities, we’re talking about enforcement for people with final deportation orders. And this is all part of the con.

Initially, there were no caravans, and there was not going to be any problem, no crisis to the border. And then it was okay, there’s a lot of people at the border, but we just have to let people go through their process. And if they don’t get to stay after that, we promise we’ll be okay with them being sent home. And now we know that that was a lie all along, too.

They keep telling lies about this. And they’re honestly running out of room at this point. And that’s what — we’re facing nullification. And by the way, when you put up those lists, they’re getting very close to violating another statute over immigration — I’m sure they wouldn’t care – – which is aiding and abetting.

You can’t actually harbor illegal immigrants. You can’t actually employ illegal immigrants. There are all kinds of laws out there and some of these Democrats seem to think that they should do whatever they can to obstruct law enforcement efforts. They want to talk about danger to the public? This is dangerous.

CARLSON: It’s crazy. But it’s also unfair on one level, I mean, so they’re telling foreign nationals they don’t have to abide by American law. They can ignore our laws, but they’re telling me that I have to follow every American law. And if I step outside the bounds of those laws, I go to jail. It’s like, why am I paying my taxes? Sincerely? Why can’t I buy a silencer? Why am I paying attention to all these laws, when they’re telling residents of Guatemala and Honduras like they don’t have to follow the law? I’m not kidding.

SEXTON: There’s so much illegality that actually gets piled up when you look at the real statutes. It’s against the law to lie to federal officers at the border about what you’re fleeing. It’s against the law to lie about your age. It’s against the law to have a fake Social Security card. It’s against — you go down the list. It’s against the law to engage in document fraud.

There is an entire subset of U.S. Federal Law that is being violated all the time with impunity, and people seem to think on the Democratic side they can just ignore all of this.

CARLSON: At some point, somebody is going to make a defense in court along those lines. Like these people don’t have to follow the law. Why should I? That’s when things really will start to fall apart.

SEXTON: I wish the Democrats would just be honest about what they want. If no one should get deported, if nobody should have immigration law enforced against them, the people like AOC, the legislative body in charge of these laws, they should just say, “We want to be open borders.” Stop pretending that’s not what they want. It is so clearly is.

In important ways, the focus on the open border as the story of illegal immigration is a major distraction. The foreigners pass through the American perimeter in a minute, but may stay for decades in towns and cities where their presence forces a rejiggering of budgets toward them and away from the needs of citizens.

The real story is the long-term robbery from Americans, and it is not given enough attention by the media. A recent article from the New York Times is a good discussion of one aspect of the Great Theft.

Many US communities face a raft of diverse problems from the horde of uninvited residents ranging from trash collection to healthcare, but arguably the most negatively affected sector is education in the local schools. In order to teach foreign children, resources must be reallocated and increased to deal with students who may not speak either English or Spanish, but instead understand only their tribal language.

American students are being shortchanged by having to share their schools with uninvited foreigners.

In 2014, the city of Lynn, Massachusetts, had to rework its entire city budget because of illegal alien students: Mayor Judith Flanagan Kennedy remarked, “. . . the city’s budget is being sustainably altered in order of accommodate all of these admissions in the school department.”

In general, that sort of resource redistribution means either local taxes increase or citizen kids get less education.

Plus, the financial costs are typical of what happens when the Third World is permitted to enter the First through open borders — citizens pay the expense of social services for illegal alien invaders.

The Times article was reprinted in the Indian Express, which seems to have an ongoing interest in American immigration:

Schools scramble to handle thousands of new migrant families, New York Times, July 10, 2019

After Trump announced a nationwide series of planned immigration raids last month, which he later suspended, students began to miss summer school.

Kindergarten teacher Shirley Duffy works with students on reading skills at South Grade Elementary in Lake Worth, Fla., June 25, 2019.

Dayvin Mungia, 7, arrived from El Salvador at South Grade Elementary in South Florida last year with, it seemed, no schooling at all. “He didn’t even recognize the first letter of his name,” said Nicol Sakellarios, his second-grade teacher, as the smiling boy gamely stumbled through his ABCs in summer school not long ago. “Good job, my love,” she said, prodding him on as he faltered again and again.

Laura Martin, 16, who attended school for only three years in Guatemala and speaks an indigenous language, plans to enroll in high school in Florida next month. “Illiterate” and “0” were scrawled on a math worksheet that she tried and failed to complete after she made her way across the border in May.

Migrant children arriving in record numbers are creating challenges for school districts across the country. Many of the newcomers have disjointed or little schooling; their parents, often with limited reading and writing skills themselves and no familiarity with the American education system, are unable to help.

Schools in places like Lake Worth, a city near President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort that has become a favorite destination for Guatemalans, are scrambling to hire new staff and add summer sessions to support the newcomers.

Last year, the Palm Beach County school district enrolled 4,555 Guatemalan students in kindergarten through 12th grade, nearly 50% more than two years earlier. Many of the students come from the country’s remote highlands and speak neither Spanish nor English. The number of elementary school students in kindergarten through fifth grade more than doubled to 2,119 in that same period.

Ana Arce-Gonzalez, the principal at South Grade Elementary School, in the heart of Lake Worth’s immigrant enclave, said that in 25 years as an educator she had never experienced anything like it. The school saw its enrollment rise from 820 at the beginning of the last school year to 910 in the spring, pushing it over capacity.

“It speaks to what is happening at the border,” she said.

Under a 1982 Supreme Court decision, all children, regardless of immigration status, are entitled to a K-12 education. With hundreds of thousands of new parents and children crossing the border in recent months, districts across the country are having to transfer teachers to affected schools, expand bilingual training for staff and prepare for students who may be traumatized.

In Florida, Mayan Guatemalans first settled in Indiantown, a village northwest of Palm Beach’s luxurious estates, in the 1980s, to toil in vegetable fields and citrus groves after fleeing a counterinsurgency campaign by the Guatemalan military. Indigenous Guatemalans have arrived here ever since, but spiraling violence and an unforgiving drought that has driven subsistence farmers off their land back home has caused a surge in the last two years.

Lake Worth is a relatively affordable city of 39,000 people and easily accessible to hotels, golf courses, farms and nurseries that hire immigrants. It is also home to immigrants from Haiti and other Central American countries; still, Guatemalans represent the largest group among Hispanics, who now account for more than 40% of the city’s population.

Like other districts serving low-income and immigrant students, Palm Beach County receives an infusion of federal funds to provide extra help for disadvantaged students and those who struggle with English. And while more money would be welcome, it is not the crux of the problem, said Harvey Oaxaca, head of the district’s multicultural education programs.

The district identified 2,000 students in the seventh to 11th grades for remedial summer school English classes. Only half have registered. Many are tending to younger siblings or working to help their families make ends meet.

Lake Worth High School offers evening tutorials and other programs. But district officials said many students choose instead to work — either to send money home, to pay off debts to migrant smugglers or to support themselves in the United States. . .

The foreigners show a short-sighted attitude toward education which is their only road to progress; as a result, many will be swept away from their low-skilled jobs in a few years when automation hits.

Plus, the invasion forces American citizens to make decisions they shouldn’t have to — like enroll their kids in expensive private school or move to some place less diverse:

Many Lake Worth residents have welcomed the diversity brought by the city’s now numerous immigrants, but some also worry that they could be dragging down educational standards for other students.

“You have to be experiencing real hardship to carry your toddler through the desert to seek a better life,” said Dan Brown, a mail carrier, who said the new immigrants are “perfectly fine neighbors,” but who also said he was considering moving to a place with less-impacted schools when his 2-year-old son is ready for kindergarten.

Some other residents wondered whether they were subsidizing the newly arriving families.

“They’re poor and can’t make it here,” said Jonathan Harris, a real-estate investor who favors stronger controls on immigration. “I am pretty confident that we have enough people already here illegally to do all the jobs that Americans don’t want to get their hands dirty doing,” he said.

Does anyone remember when America was a Nation of Laws and had borders? I miss it.
