Suffolk, County New York District Attorney Timothy Sini appeared Saturday on Fox News to discuss the major international arrests of nearly 100 gang leaders and associates:

MS-13 is justly ranked as one of the worst, most bloodthirsty gangs, since a murder is required for membership, and machetes are a traditional weapon for their frequent homicides.

They tend to prey upon their own kind, although not exclusively: Americans who get on their bad side may be killed.

Below, high school friends Nisa Mickens (left) and Kayla Cuevas (right) were hacked to death by MS-13 gangsters using machetes and baseball bats after Cuevas angered some gangsters on social media and Mickens got in the way.

President Trump invited both sets of parents to his 2018 State of the Union speech.

Keep in mind that President Obama knowingly admitted MS-13 gang members to America with his irresponsible policy of open borders to Central Americans. It was totally predictable that when Obama allowed many thousands to Central aliens to escape gang violence in their homelands, the gangsters would accompany them to the US because that’s what always happens: open borders for victims work for perps as well.

In July, 22 MS-13 members were arrested for a series of murders, and 19 were illegal aliens.

Hopefully future presidents will care more for the public safety of Americans than diversity in immigration.

New York DA on historic MS-13 bust: ‘the fight continues’, Fox News, December 21, 2019

Friday’s announcement of the largest-ever MS-13 crackdown is a “huge blow” against the gang but the fight is not over, Suffolk, County New York District Attorney Timothy Sini said Saturday

Appearing on “Fox & Friends: Weekend” with hosts Pete Hegseth and Emily Compagno, Sini confirmed that 96 MS-13 gang members and associates were charged with significant crimes in the historic bust including murder, conspiracy, drug distribution, and assault. The ages of those arrested range from 16 to 59 and include U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants.

The developments come following a two-year investigation involving law enforcement from the local to the federal level in Suffolk County, one of the gangs’ longtime hotbeds.

Sources told the New York Post that most of the arrests were made Thursday and Friday morning.

“And, as a result of intelligence generated throughout the investigation, law enforcement made over 230 arrests throughout the world including in New York, throughout the United States, and in El Salvador,” Sini said. “This was a global operation.”

Throughout the investigation, authorities recovered drugs in gang members’ possession such as cocaine and fentanyl, as well as handguns and more than $200,000 in cash.

Sini said the use of social media analysis was crucial and they obtained wiretaps on over 215 phones.

“And, I have to say: law enforcement did such a tremendous job because, as they were gathering intelligence, they would use that intelligence in real-time to stop acts of violence and they put their lives on the line to stop those acts of violence,” he said.

“This is a huge blow,” Sini stated. “This decimates the leadership on Long Island.”

MS-13, also known as Mara Salvatrucha, recruits young teenagers from El Salvador and Honduras, though many gang members were born in the U.S. The gang has been blamed for dozens of killings since January 2016 across a wide swath of New York’s Long Island – where Suffolk County is — the Los Angeles area and the D.C. suburbs. Media attention is helpful, because officials like to ignore the fact that open borders have been very harmful to young Americans, from dumbing down primary grades to allowing murderous foreign gangs to terrorize high schools.

On Thursday, the Times included the photo below on its front page.

Wednesday’s story, titled With student’s killing, MS-13 gang’s bloody campaign ensnared LA-area high school, included the following diversity fact as the 23rd paragraph:

Nearly 91% of Panorama High students entered school as children with limited English skills. Even in high school, about 30% remain in classes for non-native speakers.

But more alarming was Thursday’s article which highlighted the cover-up perpetuated by law enforcement and school administrators: a student was reportedly murdered by MS-13 gangsters, two of whom who also attend the school, but parents didn’t need to know. Plus, the paper wrote, “MS-13 had established a significant beachhead at Panorama” which is the language of conquest. Open borders have terrible effects.

MS-13 gang created beachhead at LA-area high school, but authorities insisted on secrecy, Los Angeles Times, July 27, 2019

LOS ANGELES — Law enforcement and school officials have defended 21 months of secrecy around the murder investigation of a Panorama High School student at the hands of MS-13 — one part of a grisly rampage that has generated national headlines and left at least 10 people dead.

They said there was no need to alert teachers, parents and students because other students were never in danger, the gang had little presence on campus, and no acts of gang violence affected the campus itself.

But a month before the October 2017 off-campus slaying of Brayan Andino, another incident linked to MS-13 erupted at the edge of the San Fernando Valley campus.

At least two MS-13 members, including two former Panorama students, are suspected of stabbing and wounding a student as he was leaving school, officials acknowledged.

According to a federal indictment unsealed this month, the assailants approached the victim, identified in court documents as B.C., and yelled, “MS!” — signifying their gang affiliation. They challenged “whether B.C. was from a rival gang,” according to the indictment.

The student “said he did not ‘gangbang,’” but the attackers paid no heed and “stabbed B.C. in the back and abdomen” as he tried to climb over the school’s perimeter fence. The injured student was enrolled in Cal Burke High School, an alternative program on the Panorama campus that has a separate entrance. The attackers fled and B.C. staggered to the school office, which called for help.

Law enforcement sources told the Los Angeles Times that MS-13 had established a significant beachhead at Panorama. And, although Brayan, 16, was killed off campus, it was two girls at the school who investigators say coaxed him to Lake Balboa Park, where gang members, including other classmates, were waiting.

The L.A. Unified School District has denied the presence of a gang clique at the school and said it left the question of whether parents and students should have been alerted to investigators.

As details of the gang’s connections have become public over the last week, some parents and teachers have questioned why officials didn’t alert the campus community earlier.

Only after authorities announced federal indictments of 22 adults on racketeering and murder charges on July 16 did officials with the Los Angeles Unified School District acknowledge that students from Panorama High had also been arrested.

Prosecutors allege that all of the accused are members of a violent subset of MS-13 that killed seven people — including Brayan — over a span of more than two years. Three more deaths linked to MS-13 are being handled in state court, officials said.

“In situations like these, we rely on the best judgment of the law enforcement experts who are working to uncover the truth and bring perpetrators to justice,” said school board member Kelly Gonez, who represents that area. “The best way to ensure the safety of our students, staff and families at Panorama High School and the broader community is to ensure that these violent criminals are arrested and put in jail.”

One result of the secrecy was that after Brayan went missing in late October 2017, school administrators said nothing about it. When his body was found in mid-December they continued to stay mum. Nor was there word about his funeral or any statements of condolence. Principal Rafael Gaeta referred to Brayan as “missing,” said staff members interviewed by the Times. The school district has declined to make Gaeta available for an interview. (Continues)

Leftist Chattering Class Says Walls Are Racist, but Peter Kirsanow Shows Otherwise https://www.limitstogrowth.org/articles/2019/01/10/leftist-chattering-class-says-walls-are-racist-but-peter-kirsanow-shows-otherwise/ Thu, 10 Jan 2019 13:29:14 +0000 https://www.limitstogrowth.org/?p=17304 The anti-Trump gaggle remains stuck on their “racism” accusation against the president — as if that is the only reason to enforce immigration law and borders. The basic law of supply and demand says that an excess of something (like products or labor) reduces its value, while a shortage increases its worth. Which is why business wants open borders so the availability of cheap workers is essentially unlimited.

Plus, in the real world, calling Trump a racist for immigration enforcement is particularly ignorant for a black man to say as seen in a clip in the video below, because working class black Americans arguably benefit the most from pruning down the firehose supply of subservient illegal workers.

US Civil Rights Commissioner Peter Kirsanow came to the Tucker Carlson show on Monday armed with facts about how illegal immigration substantially harms black citizens.

So from a more informed viewpoint, it’s racist to have open borders that allow foreign job thieves to stay and steal from our fellow Americans of African descent.

(Spare video here.)

TUCKER CARLSON [2:35]: Mr. Kirsanow, thank you very much for coming on, as always. So it just seems to me that this line — border walls are racist, secure borders are racist, you don’t like people who look differently from you, if you’re for it, you’re a white supremacist — I mean, this is the definition of propaganda, given who is hurt by these policies.

PETER KIRSANOW: Right, it may be an aspect of projection, if you’re going to give them the best opportunity to describe themselves, and not ascribe to them racism or immorality which they describe to anybody who wants a secure wall, and you’re exactly right: Professor [Vernon] Briggs testified before the Civil Rights Commission. We had a whole host of people testifying before the Civil Rights Commission — the one cohort, the one demographic in the United States of America most harmed, most palpably harmed by illegal immigration are black Americans, and politicians, open-borders politicians know this, they know this because there have been numerous hearings before Congress on this. I’ve testified at a number of these hearings.

George Borjas has testified at a number these hearings; Stephen Camarota testified, and we’ve presented all of this evidence, all of this data that the pernicious effect of illegal immigration, of open borders has had on black Americans in terms of employment: nearly one million fewer blacks work today because of competition from illegal immigration than otherwise would be the case if we had a secure border.

It also depresses wage rates by a tune of $1800 a year. George Borjas estimates that the depressive effects of illegal immigration on wages is anywhere from $99 billion to $118 billion annually, cumulatively, but it has the most significant effect on the black community. And then you have the downstream effects from this economic effect, and that is you have higher crime rates and incarceration rates, lower marriageability rates, because no one gets married when they’re poor, and that has the worst effect on the black community where you’ve got a 72 percent out-of-wedlock birth rate in the black community. But it goes even beyond that. If you take a look at crime rates in the black community, we know that in a number of places — and in fact it’s the Obama administration’s Justice Department that brought indictments and convictions on the basis of illegal immigrant crime gangs that specifically targeted black communities, these were prosecutions by the Obama Justice Department based on racial targeting. Compton used to be 90 percent black; it’s now 30 percent black, and a large part of that is because of this targeting.

Other communities have suffered the same thing, so if you ask yourself what’s racist, I would like to ask members of the Congressional Black Caucus — it’s their moniker, they purportedly have assigned this designation to themselves because they have a peculiar interest with respect to issues pertaining to the black community — ask them about this. Instead they’ve capitulated to the open borders crowd for political reasons because an influx of immigration or illegal immigrants they believe secures them electoral advantage — they’ve thrown blacks under the bus in the process.

CARLSON: You mentioned what has happened to Compton, California. That’s at the very least an interesting story. I don’t think I’ve ever read that in the Washington Post or the New York Times — why?

KIRSANOW: Because it’s contrary to the overriding political narrative. You know, the narrative that says the biggest malady afflicting America today in the era of Trump is white supremacy. Unfortunately this has salience only in elevated academic circles; in the real world, that is not true. What you’re seeing on the ground is economic competition, you’re seeing crime rates, you’re seeing a whole host of things that happen to poor black folks and other Americans, and the elites apparently — they’re either consciously oblivious to it or unconsciously oblivious to it, but a lot of politicians know precisely what’s going on, yet they do nothing about it, and I know they know precisely what’s going on because of the testimonies we’ve given, because of the data we’ve submitted, and they simply ignore it.

So it made sense for the president to visit Long Island on Friday, to give a speech to a largely law enforcement audience and send them well deserved accolades, as well as tout his own success.

However, President Trump’s remarks did not mention Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the AG’s earlier work on Long Island’s gang violence as well as his trip to El Salvador on Thursday to establish better international partnerships for law enforcement. So apparently Sessions is still on the outs, judging by Trump’s omission of his efforts.

In contrast, President Trump did the right thing by inviting and acknowledging crime victim parents, as he has done many times before.

Martha McCallum of Fox News interviewed the parents of Kayla Cuevas after the Long Island speech to talk about the murder of their daughter by MS-13 gangsters. Kayla and her friend were brutally beaten and slashed to death after Kayla got into a disagreement on social media with some gangsters who attended high school with them.

Below, high school girls Nisa Mickens (left) and Kayla Cuevas (right) were murdered by MS-13 gangsters.

One important cause of the worsened crime was the open borders policy of President Obama, who was not mentioned by name in the Trump speech, but was noted indirectly:

PRESIDENT TRUMP: The previous administration enacted an open-door policy to illegal migrants from Central America. “Welcome in. Come in, please, please.”

As a result, MS-13 surged into the country and scoured, and just absolutely destroyed, so much in front of it. New arrivals came in and they were all made recruits of each other, and they fought with each other, and then they fought outside of each other. And it got worse and worse, and we’ve turned that back.

In the three years before I took office, more than 150,000 unaccompanied alien minors arrived at the border and were released all throughout our country into United States’ communities — at a tremendous monetary cost to local taxpayers and also a great cost to life and safety.

Nearly 4,000 from this wave were released into Suffolk County — congratulations — including seven who are now indicted for murder. You know about that.

In Washington, D.C. region, at least 42 alien minors from the border surge have been recently implicated in MS-13-related violence, including 19 charged in killings or attempted killings.

In fact, Obama knowingly admitted MS-13 gangsters among the “unaccompanied minors” who were admitted in the tens of thousands who at best only overwhelmed schools and social services, using resources that should have gone to needy citizens. But many foreign criminals knew an opportunity when they saw one, and therefore flooded in.

Not only does President Trump have to reconstruct the economy that the previous administration battered into submission, he also has to restore the rule of law so parents needn’t fear their kids getting murdered at school by criminal gangsters.

The whole speech follows, with transcript here:

In mid-May, it was reported that a nationwide six-week sweep enabled ICE to round up 1378 gangsters, of whom 104 were MS-13 affiliated.

The bad news is that increased enforcement has not eliminated returnees. Breitbart noted (6/22), Deported MS-13 Gangsters Keep Sneaking Back Across U.S. Border. Apparently we need to build jails that are less comfy than the accommodations back in their El Salvador homeland.

MS-13 gangsters love the crime opportunities that America affords. like terrorizing communities on Long Island with murders of young people.

The Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on June 21 to explore the issue: “The MS-13 Problem: Investigating Gang Membership, its Nexus to Illegal Immigration, and Federal Efforts to End the Threat”. The entire hearing may be watched on C-SPAN.

Chairman Charles Grassley gave a tough opening statement, including a mention that President Obama knowingly admitted MS-13 gangsters into the country.

Grassley Statement on the MS-13 Gang Problem, Its Nexus to Illegal Immigration and Federal Efforts to End the Threat, June 21, 2017

The topic of today’s hearing involves the MS-13 crisis that’s growing and spreading in communities across our nation.

The atrocities of these criminals are not new. This group has existed since the 1980s, and has made a reputation for itself as a perpetrator of extreme—and often gruesome—violence. This organization has been dubbed the world’s “most dangerous gang,” and some say it could be a terrorist organization. But, you wouldn’t expect anything less from a group whose motto is “kill, rape, and control.”

Unfortunately, over the past two years, this terrifying motto has become a vicious reality for many communities across our nation. So far this year, the gang has been publicly linked to dozens of high-profile killings, rapes, and assaults across the country, from the Washington D.C. metro area to Houston, Texas. Undoubtedly, there are many more that simply haven’t been reported.

Let me give the Committee just a few examples of this group’s absolute brutality and inhumanity.

• MS-13 has been responsible for nearly 20 murders on Long Island since 2010, with victims including high-school age children as young as 16. The group is also considered responsible for an additional 32 violent acts, including 8 attempted murders.

• In January, two gang members, both of whom are unauthorized immigrants, lured a 22 year old man from New Jersey to Maryland with the promise of sex, where they butchered him and left him in the woods near Gaithersburg, MD to rot.

• In March, two MS-13 members were charged with kidnapping and sexually assaulting three teenage girls for several weeks, and eventually murdering one of them in what has been described as a “satanic ritual.”

• In March and April, a string of MS-13 murders occurred across southern Virginia, with perhaps the most graphic being the murder of 17-year-old Raymond Wood. According to reports. Wood’s body was found face down in the road, and the MS-13 suspects had cut his hands and throat before stabbing him over 16 times.

While these examples are horrifying, they are far from isolated. According to the Department of Justice, MS-13 regularly conducts gang activity in at least forty states and the District of Columbia, and their violence touches nearly every major community in America.

What’s even more troubling than the recent surge of MS-13 gang violence is the fact the organization has a new, and more disturbing, recruitment strategy: targeting unaccompanied alien children. Let me tell you the story of one such child who was targeted by MS-13, and ultimately lost his life to their violence.

As The Washington Post reported last Friday afternoon, Danny Centeno-Miranda was just 16 years old when he was apprehended at the Border. He traveled to the United States without his parents, and like other minors, he was sent by the federal government to live with a sponsor—in this case an uncle—in an American community.

Danny was enrolled in a local school, where he was, according to reports, “sucked into” tensions between MS-13 and rival gangs. This tension eventually led MS-13 gang leaders in El Salvador to order Danny’s assassination, and he was shot to death at a school bus stop one morning.

Danny’s tragic story is an all too common example of MS-13’s ruthless targeting of children. It is well-known that MS-13 actively targets and recruits children as young as 8 years old. Unaccompanied minors are particularly prime candidates for gang recruitment. Their illegal status and Central American heritage alone make them vulnerable targets for MS-13 recruitment efforts. While their illegal status and Central American heritage are a key factor in MS-13’s targeting, without a doubt the failures of the current system for handling these children is also to blame. The current system is fraught with abuse, systematic errors, and a lack of effective cooperation.

Today we will hear from the agencies that share responsibility for allowing these children to fall through the cracks and become targets for MS-13 recruitment. To help us get to the bottom of this crisis, we have asked representatives from the Department of Justice, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Homeland Security to testify today.

Independent reports have found that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has allowed many MS-13 gang members to enter the United States. According the Whistleblower documents obtained by Chairman Johnson, the Obama Administration knowingly released at least 16 known MS-13 members into communities after their apprehension. Many of these members were UACs.

Once UACs are apprehended, the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is supposed to find these children an appropriate sponsor. Often, these sponsors themselves are in the country illegally, and many of them have criminal backgrounds. Because of the lack of post-release oversight, many children have been placed in dangerous situations, including illegal working environments and in some cases even prostitution rings.

This precarious combination of events—trafficking to and apprehension at the United States border, and placement with inappropriate sponsors— makes UACs vulnerable to gang recruitment. With promises of a cultural community and an escape from often harrowing and isolating living conditions at home, MS-13 has become an attractive option for too many minors. In spite of ample evidence that UACs are a prime target for MS-13 recruitment, none of the government agencies here today have any statistics about how many of the more than 10,000 gang members in our country entered and were recruited as UACs. The end result of the government’s total failure to establish an efficient process and meaningful oversight of the placement of these children has led to the current MS-13 crisis. Today’s hearing is a first step in plotting a path forward to end it.

Throughout the course of this hearing we’re going to explore how CBP and ORR can better cooperate to ensure the safe and proper placement of UACs, and to decimate MS-13 recruitment incentives. We’re also going to hear what steps Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Justice are taking to eliminate this organization on the back end.

At the end of this hearing, I fully expect the government witnesses to have given this Committee a better understanding of what needs to be—and must be—done to end this threat. Too many innocent American and immigrant lives are at stake.

In contrast, Obama preferred to release illegal alien criminals from jail, including violent ones. CIS reported that under the Obama administration, immigration agencies were rather permissive: ICE Released 19,723 Criminal Aliens in 2015. Perhaps the previous president saw diverse criminals as future Democrat voters.

Below, some tatted-up MS-13 members. Of the 1378 recent gang arrests, 104 were MS-13, who have been causing a lot of mayhem lately on Long Island.

Interestingly, CNN was reassuring to diversity enthusiasts in its report, headlining: ICE announces major anti-gang operation, mostly US citizens arrested. CNN detailed that out of more than 1300 arrests nationwide, “445 were foreign nationals, with 384 in the country illegally.”

Presumably we citizens are supposed to be relieved at that number.

Were any re-arrests of illegals released by Obama? Inquiring minds want to know.

ICE arrests 1,378 suspected gang members in largest sweep to date, Fox News, May 11, 2017

The Trump administration has concluded a six-week nationwide sweep of suspected gang members with 1,378 arrests — the largest such gang sweep conducted by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) to date.

The operation, which ran from March 26 through May 6, targeted gang members and associates involved in transnational criminal activity, including drug trafficking, weapons smuggling, human smuggling, sex trafficking, murder and racketeering.

“Gangs threaten the safety of our communities, not just in major metropolitan areas, but in our suburbs and rural areas, too,” ICE Acting Director Thomas Homan said Thursday. “Gang-related violence and criminal activity present an ongoing challenge for law enforcement everywhere.”

According to ICE, of the 1,378 total arrested, 933 were U.S. citizens, and 1,095 were confirmed as gang members or affiliates. Also, 104 of those arrested were affiliated with the dreaded MS-13 gang, eight of whom illegally crossed the border as unaccompanied minors.

“Our efforts to dismantle gangs are much more effective in areas where partnership with local law enforcement is strongest,” Homan said.

During the operation, HSI partnered with other law enforcement agencies to seize more than 200 firearms, narcotics like cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl and marijuana and $491,763 in U.S. currency.

Enforcement actions occurred across the nation, but the greatest activity took place in the Houston, New York City, Atlanta and Newark, N.J., areas.

Suffolk County Police Commissioner Timothy Sini remarked that AG Sessions met with police and government officials and discussed in detail what could be done to end the horrific crime wave that has reportedly killed 11 mostly young people in the past year. While in Long Island, Sessions also visited with the parents of young people murdered by MS-13.

Tucker remarked about the presence of so many people protesting the Sessions appearance even though he was there to fight gang violence. Most of the signs available to see online were generic retreads of the same old open-borders crap, probably pulled out of a closet and dusted off.

More appropriate images would be photos of the crime victims, like high school girls Nisa Mickens and Kayla Cuevas brutally murdered by MS-13 gangsters. Otherwise, people might get the idea that open-borders lefties support violent foreign criminals. Perish the thought!

Here’s the interview from Friday:

TUCKER CARLSON: What’s the next step? Simply talking about MS-13 won’t beat them. Tim Sini is Police Commissioner for Suffolk County on Long Island and he joins us tonight. . . Why has MS-13 grown so much in the last 10 years?

TIM SINI: There’s likely a variety of factors: there’s no question that MS-13 preys on the immigrant community. In fact they in particular prey on unaccompanied children who come to this country illegally, then are placed in our communities, and the Suffolk County Police Department working in collaboration with our federal partners is dedicated to decimating this gang.

CARLSON: Are the feds going to help you?

SINI: Absolutely

CARLSON: Okay you’re confident the Attorney General’s announcement today means progress in the fight against MS-13.

SINI: Whenever you have the top law enforcement official in the country come to your community and commit to eradicating a dangerous gang such as MS-13 and then ask local officials how can we help, that’s a good day for your community. We had a very productive discussion today about law enforcement issues, about how the federal government can further assist us in our mission of eradicating MS-13, and several specific requests were discussed, several specific topics were discussed. It was a great meeting. We had the the heads of all the local departments in the room, we had our federal partners there and of course the Attorney General and his team.

CARLSON: Right, so I don’t know how far you are to be totally candid since we’re on TV and you’re still holding office, but it seems like politics is playing a pretty ugly role in all this, and you have protesters by the side of the road accusing the federal government of cracking down on all immigrants when they’re going after one of the most dangerous criminal gangs in the country — does that distort your ability to be able to address this as it as a as a criminal matter?

SINI: There’s no question that politics unfortunately creeps into the discussion of law enforcement, and I benefit from the position of being police commissioner. I don’t have to deal in politics; that’s a good thing for me. I just have to focus on the mission, get the job done. Many of those protesters out there were people who I work with on a daily basis; we have different perspectives about certain things obviously, but these are people who we work with, and the message to them was, look this is the Attorney General of the United States. He’s coming to our community to ask how the federal government can assist in eradicating MS-13 from our community, and we had a very productive session today with all of our law enforcement partners, and I really do believe that something good is going to come out of that meeting.

CARLSON: Does the governor government of El Salvador play any role in this? I think about half of the arrested MS-13 members come from that country; it started there. Apparently it’s controlled at least in part from El Salvador. What’s the government’s role in that?

SINI: No question and this is an important piece and this is why local law enforcement officials throughout the country need to be working with their federal law enforcement partners. We need to fight this battle on all fronts. That includes dealing with certain issues in foreign countries and obviously a local police department, we don’t have the jurisdiction or resources to do that, so we’re going to be working with assets throughout the world to tackle this issue and to deal with it both outside this country and inside this country. And it’s going to take all hands on deck, it’s going to take a multi-faceted approach, and it’s going to take a lot of resources which is why today’s meeting was was so promising because we talked very specifically about what type of resources and a lot of folks had good suggestions and we had a good discussion.

CARLSON: Well good, because when 92 percent of those arrested are from a foreign country and foreign citizens, it’s a foreign threat I would say.

That gang got extra attention for itself following a horrific quadruple murder on Long Island earlier this month.

Even so, enforcement of America’s immigration law is unpopular in certain quarters, and unfriendly open-borders advocates turned up as greeters, because even murderous illegal alien criminals are apparently desirable in the minds of some:

About 100 protest Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ visit, Newsday, April 28, 2017

About 100 people gathered outside the Central Islip federal courthouse Friday morning to demonstrate against the attorney general’s visit, sending the message that “immigrants are welcome here.”

The demonstrators gathered about two hours before Attorney General Jeff Sessions addressed law enforcement officials during a stop in the same community where the bodies of four young men were found in a park just over two weeks ago — the latest violent incident in Central Islip and Brentwood to be investigated as a possible gang-related killing. . .

Tucker Carlson interviewed one of the protesters on his show, if you care to Watch.

Below, not every person with a sign was hostile to the attorney general.

Finally, keep in mind that Obama’s policy of delivering many thousands of unaccompanied minors from Central America all around the country helped to distribute the MS-13 gang more widely around the nation.

Here’s AG Sessions’ speech, via video and text:

Attorney General Jeff Sessions Delivers Remarks on Violent Crime to Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement, US Department of Justice, April 28, 2017

Remarks as prepared for delivery

Good morning. I am honored to be here today with all of you – the brave men and women of law enforcement. Your dedication, your commitment to justice and your patriotism are inspiring. Thank you for all you do to keep us safe.

I also want to thank Congressman Pete King for inviting me to visit his district. He has been a steadfast partner and leader in combating violent crime. Finally, let me thank our Acting U.S. Attorney Bridget Rohde of the Eastern District of New York. Bridget, thank you not only for your hospitality, but also for your leadership.

Today is the 99th day of President Trump’s administration. The President made a promise to make America safe again, and that is exactly what we are doing at the Department of Justice. The President has talked to me several times about this and his commitment to these issues is complete. He is very aware personally of the violence and murders here.

We’re seeing an increase in violent crime our cities – in Baltimore, Chicago, Memphis, Milwaukee, St. Louis and many others. But gang violence has also been in the headlines right here in the suburbs of Long Island, while the murder rate has surged 10 percent nationwide – the largest increase since 1968. Groups of murderers, rapists, traffickers and thugs are carrying out a frontal assault on the decent, law-abiding men and women of this community and others like it across our country.

This is not acceptable, and the American people will not tolerate it.

Are these gang and cartel members violent and formidable foes? They sure are. But they are also mortal, and that means they can be arrested, prosecuted and imprisoned for their crimes. And that’s what we are going to do.

MS-13’s motto is “kill, rape and control.” Let me tell you our motto: justice for victims and consequences for criminals. It is that simple. We will prosecute gang members who commit crimes, to the full extent of the law.

This community is no stranger to violence. You know the story: last September, two teenage girls here were beaten to death using baseball bats and a machete. Earlier this month, police in Central Islip found the bodies of four young men, ranging in age from 16 to 20. They had been murdered and their bodies were dumped in a park. One of these young men was an honor student.

I have a message for any gang that targets our young people: we are targeting you, and we are coming after you.

Transnational criminal organizations represent one of the gravest threats to American public safety today. These groups enrich themselves by pedaling poison in our communities, trafficking children for sexual exploitation and inflicting horrific violence in the neighborhoods where they operate and slipping their ill-gotten wealth back to their home countries.

For example, there are over 30,000 MS-13 members abroad, with their headquarters in the El Salvadoran prison system. According to the National Gang Intelligence Center, MS-13 now has more than 10,000 members in at least 40 states in this country – up significantly from just a few years ago.

The Justice Department has zero tolerance for gang violence. If you are a gang member, know this: We will find you. We will devastate your networks. We will starve your revenue sources, deplete your ranks and seize your profits. We will not concede a single block or street corner to your vicious tactics.

Long-term success against such transnational criminal organizations requires securing our borders and restoring a lawful system of immigration. We must also dismantle the human smuggling networks that operate along our nation’s southern border. If we don’t do this, their leadership will simply send new emissaries and recruiters back to the United States to replace the ones we take off the streets.

From past investigations, we know these transnational criminal organizations smuggle members into our country almost exclusively through our border with Mexico. They station these gang members in safe houses in Texas, before they travel to various points around the United States.

We will identify these smuggling networks, investigate and build cases against them, and dismantle them through targeted prosecutions. Then, these people will be deported. Securing our border and restoring a lawful system of immigration are an essential part of our strategy to combat criminal groups and ensure public safety in our country – and we will see this task through and end the lawlessness.

Finally, we must do more to send a clear message to our young people: for the sake of your lives and your futures, stay away from gangs, drugs and violent crime. Prevention is critical.

We know that gangs aren’t content to simply ruin the lives of adults – they recruit in our high schools, our middle schools and even our elementary schools. They recruit unaccompanied minors coming into this country. And every time they convert a young person to their depraved life of violence and crime, they steal their future and a part of our nation’s future.

To parents out there, know this: we will not surrender our schools to these gangs. We will not allow them to prey on our children in the hallways. This is a fight we must win.

If the threat of violence from these gangs wasn’t enough, our nation is also suffering from an unprecedented epidemic of heroin and opioid abuse. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 50,000 Americans died from drug overdoses last year, the most ever. And a new report this week revealed that in 2015, “drugged driving” deaths surpassed drunk-driving deaths for the first time.

Our nation must do everything in its power to help young people who find themselves already trapped in the dark worlds of gang violence or drug abuse. But the best way to tackle these problems is to convince young people to stay away from gangs and drugs and violence in the first place.

The fight against violent transnational gangs, drugs and violent crime will not be easy. It is a huge task. But we know it can be done. Our nation has successfully taken on violent criminal organizations before, and we can do it again.

This fight will require strong leadership and cooperation at the federal, state, and local levels – and the Department of Justice is working hard to do our part. This is the Trump era – so you can be confident that this nation’s leadership has your back.

In many areas, we have already made dramatic progress in these first 100 days. To carry out the President’s commitment to combat violent crime and restore public safety, in February we established a Department of Justice Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety. In March, I issued a memo to all federal prosecutors, making clear that prosecuting violent criminals is a high priority, and directing them to work closely with their federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement partners to target the most violent offenders in each district.

Along with our partners at the Department of Homeland Security, we are also carrying out the President’s promise to secure our borders and restore a lawful system of immigration. Last month, I announced new guidance to federal prosecutors regarding our commitment to criminal immigration enforcement. We are making such enforcement a priority.

Those who attempt to enter the country illegally are now detained – ending the dangerous “catch and release” policies of the previous administration. To reduce the backlog of cases at the border, we have surged immigration judges to detention facilities near the border, and streamlined the process for bringing on additional immigration judges, so we can adjudicate these cases more swiftly. And thanks to President Trump’s clear leadership on this issue, illegal border crossings are at their lowest monthly figure in at least 17 years.

We have also taken steps to end the lawless practices of so-called “sanctuary” jurisdictions, which make our country less safe. I understand there are those who disagree. But the American people rightly demand a lawful system of immigration. Congress has established a lawful system of immigration.

The Bureau of Justice Statistics just released a report showing that 42 percent of defendants charged in U.S. district court were non-U.S. citizens. And according to the U.S. Sentencing Commission, in 2013, 48 percent of all deported aliens who were convicted for coming back to the United States illegally were also convicted of a non-immigration related crime.

And yet, I regret to say that we’ve seen district attorneys openly brag about not charging cases appropriately – giving special treatment to illegal aliens to ensure these criminal aliens aren’t deported from their communities. They advertise that they will charge a criminal alien with a lesser offense than presumably they would charge a United States citizen. It baffles me.

Regardless, no jurisdiction has a right to violate federal law, especially when that violation leads to the death of innocent Americans, like Kate Steinle. As the President has made clear, our system is a system of laws, and we will be the Administration that ends the rampant immigration illegality.

At the direction of President Trump, our department is also working to make sure that all of you, the brave men and women of law enforcement, understand that our nation supports your noble work and has the back of all honest and honorable law enforcement officers.

I have directed our department to develop strategies to support the thousands of law enforcement agencies across the country that seek to prevent crime and protect the public. And I have made clear that this Department of Justice will not sign consent decrees that will cost more lives by handcuffing the police instead of criminals and stopping lawful police procedures that have been proven to reduce crime.

This is just the beginning. In all that we do, the Department of Justice will be guided by a clear sense of purpose: we will maintain public safety; we will uphold the Constitution and enforce our nation’s laws; and we will ensure equal justice for all Americans. And I am confident that with the President’s support and with you leading the way, we will win this fight.

Thank you again for working so hard to ensure the safety and security of America.

Maryland Sheriff Warns of Worsening Illegal Alien Gang Violence https://www.limitstogrowth.org/articles/2016/04/21/maryland-sheriff-warns-of-worsening-illegal-alien-gang-violence/ Fri, 22 Apr 2016 03:09:55 +0000 https://www.limitstogrowth.org/?p=13495 My earlier report about the April 19 House hearing about illegal alien crime was focused on the victims: House Immigration Committee: Two Mothers Tell of Children Killed by Illegal Aliens.

Sheriff [...]]]> My earlier report about the April 19 House hearing about illegal alien crime was focused on the victims: House Immigration Committee: Two Mothers Tell of Children Killed by Illegal Aliens.

In addition, a Maryland sheriff made a convincing case that Obama’s disappearing enforcement has left the nation considerably more endangered by illegal alien criminals.

Sheriff Charles A. Jenkins of Frederick County warned that “Open border policies and failure to enforce our immigration laws have greatly impacted public safety in every community in America and cities are becoming war zones. Every single day, more Americans are becoming victims of avoidable crimes.”

Jenkins noted that his office has partnered with federal authorities on the 287(g) program since 2008 and it has been effective in identifying and removing illegal aliens criminals to better protect Americans in his jurisdiction. But clearly the extent of the administration’s border anarchy has made it hard for local law enforcement to keep up.

The sheriff further explained, “The criminal alien gang numbers are growing across the nation, and the serious crimes are increasing. There is also a direct nexus between the action on unaccompanied minors of two years ago and the increases we are seeing in gang crimes.”

Get that last bit? The many thousands of unaccompanied kiddies from Central America of yesteryear who needed immediate housing and programs in schools etc. ad nauseum have now morphed into violent gangsters.

What a surprise. Some were just pretending to be kids for all the easy freebies and others had existing gang affiliations. Plus there are no jobs for unskilled non-English-speaking kids (sometimes preliterate), making them perfect recruits for gangs. The care and feeding of Centrals was estimated to be in the billions of dollars, and that was without their being criminals. America is importing violent criminals and taxpayers are forced to pay for it.

Below, some of the hundreds of thousands of illegal alien Centrals who have been allowed to enter the United States.
