Her film got a front-page treatment from the Washington Times, with an article titled ‘America’s Forgotten’: Democrat director discovers horrors of illegal immigration while making film.

A Breitbart piece included a short clip from the documentary with a smuggler hawking America’s available free stuff to potential customers: Watch: Documentary Shows Coyotes Using Democrat Debate Footage to Recruit Illegal Border Crossers

Gujral started her film with the intention that it was going to be pro-illegal alien, but the specifics of several cases convinced her that too much suffering and death was the real result — both from disastrous illegal border crossings and preventable crimes of unlawful aliens.

Following is the film trailer:

An interview with Elizabeth MacDonald on Fox Business provided more detail, where Gujral noted, “Most of the people that are coming in are coming in for what we call in the film a ‘lifestyle upgrade’ — a lot of them spending $75,000 per person, $50,000 per person — these are not people that are poor.”

A recent death in this category was Officer Ronil Singh in California. Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson declared, “Ladies and gentlemen, this is not how you protect a community. Law enforcement was prohibited because of sanctuary laws, and that led to the encounter with Officer Singh.”

California is particularly guilty of protecting illegal foreigners and allowing citizens to be in the line of fire. Kate Steinle (pictured below) became one of the best known when she was shot down on a San Francisco pier while strolling with her father. The shooter was an illegal Mexican who had been released by the sanctuary city despite having been deported five times.

Other victims of sanctuary policies include Bambi Larson, three members of the Bologna family, Sacramento County Deputy Danny Oliver and Placer County Detective Michael David Davis Jr. and numerous others.

Typically for the sanctuary mindset, the perp in the current case failed to show up for a deportation hearing, but the Fairfax police released him like there was nothing wrong.

Protecting public safety is no longer the most important job of police, it seems. Instead, dangerous foreign lawbreakers are allow to roam the streets at will to do whatever they want.

TUCKER CARLSON: A police officer in the Commonwealth of Virginia has been suspended from his job. What did he do wrong? He helped the federal government enforce the law.

Fox News chief breaking news correspondent Trace Gallagher has more for us tonight. Hey, Trace.

TRACE GALLEGHER: Hey, Tucker. A driver who was involved in an accident did not have a driver’s license, so the responding Fairfax police officer followed standard operating procedure and ran him through the DMV database to look for things like criminal behavior. Well, turns out the driver failed to show up for a deportation hearing, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement had issued an immigration warrant. So at this point the suspect had committed at least two violations. The officer verified the warrant, notified the ICE agent listed as the contact and held the man until the agent arrived.

But Fairfax County Police Chief Edwin Roessler said the officer deprived the man of his freedom, quoting here: “We have trained on this issue a lot; this is the first time we’ve had a lapse in judgment, and the officer is being punished.”

In fact, as you said, the officer was suspended.

And former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan is baffled. Watch him:

TOM HOMAN: This world is upside down when those who illegally enter the country in violation of law, who knowingly violate our law, all of a sudden they are the victims, and the ones that enforce law are the bad guys.

GALLEGHER: But since 2007, Fairfax County, Virginia, has barred police officers from confirming anyone’s immigration status. Those accused of crimes are booked into jails, and then their immigration status is checked, but they still won’t cooperate with ICE, so the point is moot. By the way the driver who was held was released a few hours later with an ankle monitor. Tucker.

CARLSON: Remarkable story. Trace Gallagher, thank you for that.

Of course, every crime committed by an illegal foreigner should have been prevented by immigration enforcement, but wasn’t. A top job of government is to protect the citizens from foreign enemies, and America’s open borders make that responsibility an ongoing joke. Politicians used to brag that America was a “nation of laws” but you never hear that phrase any more.

Plus, crime is a job some Americans will do, so we needn’t import foreigners to do the robbing and murdering for us.

Back to McCarthy, he began his remarks on the House floor with a denunciation of the Democrats’ outright refusal to negotiate with the president on funding for the border wall — even though top Dems like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer voted for the Secure Fence Act of 2006.

Incidentally, McCarthy is not the first member of the legislature to remember persons killed by illegal aliens: on Thursday, Senator Joni Ernst paid tribute to Sarah Root, just 21, who was killed by a drunk-driving illegal three years ago. Both the Republican-run House and Senate have held hearings in the last four years focused on the human consequences of crime caused by open borders. And Donald Trump’s 2016 GOP Convention heard from several crime victim families.

Below, on January 15, Rep. Mo Brooks recalled several Alabamians lost in crimes committed by illegal aliens.

McCarthy spoke about the crime issue starting at around 3:20:

AUDIO version here:

LEADER KEVIN McCARTHY: There has been 266,000 criminal aliens arrested in the last two years. This includes charges and convictions of 100,000 assaults, nearly 30,000 sex crimes and 4000 violent killings. Three hundred Americans die every week from heroin, and more than 90 percent of heroin comes from across the southern border. And roughly 10,000 children are being smuggled into the US every year to be sold for human trafficking.

And they are celebrating a status quo that leaves 700,000 DACA-designated individuals unsure about their future. It was the best display of politics that this country is sick and tired of seeing. Zero-sum politics and nothing ever changes. Well I’d like to spend some time and reflect on Americans and their families who may not have been celebrating the status quo preserved by this majority:

Judge Declares Illegal Alien Families to Be Reconnected https://www.limitstogrowth.org/articles/2018/07/28/judge-declares-illegal-alien-families-to-be-reconnected/ Sun, 29 Jul 2018 02:11:51 +0000 https://www.limitstogrowth.org/?p=16791 When Judge Dana Sabraw demanded a couple weeks ago that the government reunify invader adults with their apparent children, it seemed an impossible task. Judge: Border family reunification ‘has been completed’, By Stephen Dinan, Washington Times, July 28, 2018

The judge overseeing the chaos from President Trump’s zero-tolerance border policy gave the government good marks for its efforts to reunify families, saying that for the parents the government has control over “that process has been completed.” [. . .]

He praised the government for meeting his strict deadlines, set in June, that forced agencies to scramble to reunite young children with parents by July 10, and the rest of the juveniles by this week.

He said the government managed to reconnect 1,820 children.

“The government can only reunify families over which it has control. and it has control over the families, the parents and children, in its custody,” Judge Sabraw said. [. . .]

This news may come as a blow to newspaper designers who have used emotive photos of foreign family reunifications to spice up their front pages while bashing President Trump as a meanie for enforcing immigration laws.

Funny, I don’t recall ever seeing a photo of an America victim of illegal alien crime on a newspaper front page — no sympathetic picture of shooting victim Kate Steinle, the murdered Bologna family or high school student Jamiel Shaw.

Below are a couple examples of alien sob story porn from the last few days — there were many others. And keep in mind, American citizen, that if you dragged your kid along to a crime, the government would confine you separately also.

MS-13 Gang Threatens to Murder Police in Long Island https://www.limitstogrowth.org/articles/2018/04/26/ms-13-gang-threatens-to-murder-police-in-long-island/ Thu, 26 Apr 2018 15:54:44 +0000 https://www.limitstogrowth.org/?p=16461 On gang-infested Long Island, the MS-13 thugs have upped their game by threatening to murder police officers. Never forget that the Obama Administration Knowingly Admitted MS-13 Gangsters to America because open borders were a big thing for his administration.

The resulting gang explosion has caused preventable crime including murders in areas where the MS-13 killers reside, and endangering American kids in schools that the gangsters attend.

President Trump invited parents of illegal alien crime victims to his first State of the Union speech, giving special attention to the MS-13 murder victims.

Tucker Carlson has been following the MS-13 problem, even visiting El Salvador last year, and he recently interviewed a top cop about the escalation. The gang’s message is they intend to murder police — “just like in El Salvador.”

This is where open borders have gotten America.

TUCKER CARLSON: Meanwhile MS-13 has been terrorizing ordinary people — mostly immigrants, by the way — in this country for years. It’s the deadliest gang in America and it seems to be turning its sights against American law enforcement. That’s not our take, that’s what they’re saying in recent weeks.

Long Island police have arrested several gang members and according to informants, leaders are telling their foot soldiers quote “it is time to take the streets back and shoot a cop like we do in El Salvador.”

They shoot a lot of cops in El Salvador: they run the country.

Patrick Ryder is commissioner of the Nassau County Police Department; he joins us tonight. So our understanding of MS-13 is up until now they’ve committed a lot of crimes, a number of high-profile killings, but mostly they haven’t targeted law enforcement. You think that’s changing

PARICK RYDER: Well we got our threat last Wednesday: they decided that they were going to put out notice to foot soldiers that you were going to take a cop’s life — just like they do in El Salvador.

CARLSON: So why the change?

RYDER: They don’t like the fact that we’ve increased our enforcement. We’re going after the MS-13 and all our gangs out here in Long Island. So from the increased enforcement, they decided they were going to act back. Well in return, we’re gonna act back.

CARLSON: Where are these people coming from?

RYDER: Most of them are crossing from the borders of both Mexico and Texas. They find their way up into the New York area where there is work for most migrant workers, but again those who don’t join the gangs, they get threatened by the gangs to join them, and they go after the young kids and try to flip them.

MS-13 Victim Parents Are Guests at Trump’s State of the Union Speech, As Earlier Supporters Reject His Amnesty https://www.limitstogrowth.org/articles/2018/01/30/ms-13-victim-parents-are-guests-at-trumps-state-of-the-union-speech-as-earlier-supporters-reject-his-amnesty/ Tue, 30 Jan 2018 20:28:14 +0000 https://www.limitstogrowth.org/?p=16130 President Trump’s earlier supporters among illegal alien crime victims won’t be present for his major address because most if not all are deeply disappointed in his political flipflop in giving unlawful foreigners amnesty and eventual citizenship. As a result, there will be a new cast of characters in the crime victim category, those who lost loved ones at the hands of brutal MS-13 gangsters.

Some of those early supporters spoke at the podium of the Republican nominating convention and appeared during the campaign.

Below, illegal alien crime victim families appeared with candidate Trump in 2016, including Jamiel Shaw Sr. at the podium and Sabine Durden standing next to Trump.

Now, those original crime victim families are hurt and appalled at the president’s U-turn to amnesty for so-called Dreamers:

Remembrance Project families that campaigned for Trump call amnesty a ‘slap in the face’, Washington Times, January 25, 2018

They hugged him, they endorsed him, they appeared on stage after stage in the campaign with him — and now the victims of immigrant crime say President Trump delivered a “slap in the face” after he embraced a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrant Dreamers.

Laura Wilkerson, the mother of brutally murdered Josh, appeared on a Fox News show last week and said, “We don’t owe them anything,” and observed that the DACA amnesty sets a terrible precedent for the crimes of the parents to be rewarded with citizenship for the offspring.

Jamiel Shaw Sr., whose son was murdered by an illegal alien gangster just feet from the safety of the family home, recently tweeted that DACAs are owed deportations, period.

Sabine Durden gave a passionate speech about the loss of her beloved son Dominic at the National Republican Convention where Donald Trump was nominated to be president. Now she is deeply disappointed by the betrayal from the man she once called her “hero.”

So President Trump’s illegal alien amnesty scheme has destroyed the trust of some of his most loyal supporters. They have been thrown under the bus and are being replaced at the big speech by some new faces of illegal alien crime. It’s regrettable that the public will learn the horror of MS-13 savagery only after the bad faith shown toward the president’s early defenders.

In fact, the MS-13 gangsters are some of the most brutal monsters on the planet, yet were knowingly admitted during Obama’s illegal alien border surge and have come to terrorize parts of Long Island and Maryland.

The crime victim parents being highlighted in the State of the Union lost their high school daughters to MS-13 gangsters.

Martha McCallum of Fox News interviewed the parents of Kayla Cuevas after the president’s Long Island speech on July 28, 2017 to talk about the murder of their daughter by MS-13 gangsters. Kayla and her friend were brutally beaten and slashed to death after Kayla got into a disagreement on social media with some gangsters who attended high school with them. (How screwed up is it when MS-13 killers attend high school with our citizen kids?!)

Below, high school girls Nisa Mickens (left) and Kayla Cuevas (right) were murdered by MS-13 gangsters.

It’s reported the parents of both girls will attend the speech.

Trump Guests for SOTU Include Parents of Children Murdered by MS-13, CNS News, January 29, 2018

(CNSNews.com) – The White House on Monday released the details of those who will be guests of President Donald Trump at his first State of the Union address on Tuesday.

Among those who will be seated in first lady Melania Trump’s box are Elizabeth Alvarado, Robert Mickens, Evelyn Rodriguez, and Freddy Cuevas, parents of two girls murdered by MS-13 gang members.

In March 2017, police arrested more than a dozen MS-13 gang members for the murders of 15-year-old Nisa Mickens and 16-year-old Kayla Cuevas in Long Island, N.Y. Their bodies were found in September 2016. Both had been brutally beaten.

Authorities say Cuevas had been “marked for death” because of a feud with gang members on social media, and Mickens had just been “in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse brought up the case of Omaha constituent Sarah Root who was killed by an illegal alien just a day after she graduated from college. If that wasn’t bad enough, some local authorities allowed the drunk-driving Honduran Edwin Mejia to post bond and escape. The bond was just $50,000, meaning Mejia needed only 10 percent of that, $5000, to get out of jail and leave the country.

Below, illegal alien Edwin Mejia (left) killed Sarah Root, yet he could post bond even though he was clearly a flight risk.

The systemic lawlessness of the Obama regime has been a plague upon the land and the cause of many preventable deaths caused by illegal aliens. As Senator Jeff Sessions remarked in a hearing about crime victims of illegal aliens, “This administration has consistently and steadfastly placed the goal of amnesty above the goal of public safety.”

Crime victims of illegal aliens are important people to President-elect Trump also, who discussed them (including Sarah) in his acceptance speech and gave three parents a forum to speak at the GOP convention about the loss of their children.

Below, GOP convention attendees carried signs saying “Make America Safe Again!”

In Tuesday’s hearing, details of the conversation between Senators Sasse and Sessions illustrate what an unworkable mess immigration enforcement has become after eight years of its dismantling by Obama.

SENATOR BEN SASSE: Senator Sessions, I’d like to talk a little bit about the Sarah Root case: I know that you and I have discussed it briefly last summer. Sarah Root was woman who was killed a year ago this month in Omaha; she’d just graduated from college and she was killed by a drunken street racer. Omaha authorities believe that this guy had been engaged in similar activity many times in the past. He was an illegal immigrant, he ran into her car, killed her right after her graduation, he was detained by Omaha police, they ultimately notified the department of Homeland Security.

This guy is a flight risk — he was able to post a fairly insignificant bond and he disappeared. The Department of Homeland Security did nothing to detain the guy despite the fact that the Douglas County Sheriff and the Omaha Police Department asked that he be detained. The Obama administration determined that it wasn’t an enforcement priority.

I don’t wanna hold you to specifics on this case here, but I want to get your pledge in this context. I want to hear you talk generally about the coordination between state and local law enforcement on the illegal immigration activities and in particular in cases where serious crimes have been committed. But i wonder if you would pledge now that if i send you a letter the day after you’re confirmed, would you give expeditious attention to responding with some of these details about how enforcement priorities are set inside the federal government

SENATOR JEFF SESSIONS: Thank you Senator Sasse, I certainly will, and it does represent important failures that we’re seeing too often in our system today.

SASSE: Do you have any top-line thoughts on the way local and state officials interact with federal officials on immigration cases?

SESSIONS: Well the immigration enforcement procedures the courts have held are exclusively the power of the federal government, but it’s also clear that a state official has the right to ask somebody for the offense of crossing the border illegally, they have the right to arrest people who have entered the country illegally or repeatedly entered the country illegally for any kind of offense, including the offense of re-entering illegally, and the co-operative system should work in a way that the federal government then evaluates whether or not they want to put a hold on in order not to release that person until they can take them and see them be deported.

And it’s failing in a whole number of ways — you’ve got the sanctuary cities who refuse to tell Homeland Security that they’ve got somebody that’s committed a serious crime so they can be deported, they refuse to honor detainers. On the other side, we’ve got Homeland Security too often having standards or failing to follow up on serious offenses of people who should be deported. So in both aspects I think, Senator Sasse, I think we can do much better and this country has every right to deport persons who are here unlawfully who violate our criminal laws in some other aspect and they should indeed be promptly deported.

SASSE: Thank you, we’ll follow up with the letter, because this guy Edwin Mejia who killed Sara Root — it was obvious to everybody engaged locally, lots of law enforcement and the family whose daughter was killed that this guy was a flight risk, and everyone was screaming to the feds, please don’t let this guy disappear before he can stand trial. He’s now in the top ten most wanted list and nobody thinks he’s ever going to be found. Everybody believes he left the country and this kind of case isn’t an isolated case — it’s a kind of handoff between federal and local law enforcement that could happen repeatedly if you don’t have a federal government that has any clear policies. So we’d like to send you a letter right after your confirmation, asking for clarity about how federal enforcement actions are prioritized.

SESSIONS: And Senator Sasse, I would note that fundamentally that would be a Homeland Security issue initially, and they need to set the standards of what they should and should not do, and I would think that General Kelly would be quite willing to also talk with you about it, as will I.

The GOP convention included the appearance of three parents whose children had been killed by illegal aliens who should have been deported. The victims were mentioned again in Trump’s acceptance speech when he said, “Of all my travels in this country, nothing has affected me more deeply than the time I have spent with the mothers and fathers who have lost their children to violence spilling across our border.”

One of the three parents, Sabine Durden, tweeted her appreciation for Donald Trump giving the crime victims a forum:

Actually, Trump spoke at length about immigration, public safety and national security.

Below, the murder of Kate Steinle by a five-times-deported Mexican as she strolled with her father along a San Francisco pier was another reminder that illegal immigration is not a victimless crime.

An extra bonus is the list of 282 footnotes included in the official version of the speech illustrating the veracity of Trump’s various points, in case there are any questions about the facts.

In the clip below, a section about crime victims begins at around 8:30:

Lastly, we must immediately suspend immigration from any nation that has been compromised by terrorism until such time as proven vetting mechanisms have been put in place.

My opponent has called for a radical 550% increase in Syrian refugees on top of existing massive refugee flows coming into our country under President Obama. She proposes this despite the fact that there’s no way to screen these refugees in order to find out who they are or where they come from. I only want to admit individuals into our country who will support our values and love our people.

Anyone who endorses violence, hatred or oppression is not welcome in our country and never will be.

Decades of record immigration have produced lower wages and higher unemployment for our citizens, especially for African-American and Latino workers. We are going to have an immigration system that works, but one that works for the American people.

On Monday, we heard from three parents whose children were killed by illegal immigrants Mary Ann Mendoza, Sabine Durden, and Jamiel Shaw. They are just three brave representatives of many thousands. Of all my travels in this country, nothing has affected me more deeply than the time I have spent with the mothers and fathers who have lost their children to violence spilling across our border.

These families have no special interests to represent them. There are no demonstrators to protest on their behalf. My opponent will never meet with them, or share in their pain. Instead, my opponent wants Sanctuary Cities. But where was sanctuary for Kate Steinle? Where was Sanctuary for the children of Mary Ann, Sabine and Jamiel? Where was sanctuary for all the other Americans who have been so brutally murdered, and who have suffered so horribly?

These wounded American families have been alone. But they are alone no longer. Tonight, this candidate and this whole nation stand in their corner to support them, to send them our love, and to pledge in their honor that we will save countless more families from suffering the same awful fate.

We are going to build a great border wall to stop illegal immigration, to stop the gangs and the violence, and to stop the drugs from pouring into our communities. I have been honored to receive the endorsement of America’s Border Patrol Agents, and will work directly with them to protect the integrity of our lawful immigration system.

By ending catch-and-release on the border, we will stop the cycle of human smuggling and violence. Illegal border crossings will go down. Peace will be restored. By enforcing the rules for the millions who overstay their visas, our laws will finally receive the respect they deserve.

Tonight, I want every American whose demands for immigration security have been denied – and every politician who has denied them – to listen very closely to the words I am about to say.

On January 21st of 2017, the day after I take the oath of office, Americans will finally wake up in a country where the laws of the United States are enforced. We are going to be considerate and compassionate to everyone.

But my greatest compassion will be for our own struggling citizens. My plan is the exact opposite of the radical and dangerous immigration policy of Hillary Clinton. Americans want relief from uncontrolled immigration. Communities want relief.

Yet Hillary Clinton is proposing mass amnesty, mass immigration, and mass lawlessness. Her plan will overwhelm your schools and hospitals, further reduce your jobs and wages, and make it harder for recent immigrants to escape from poverty.
