This is the effect of having Democrats writing legislation — public safety goes down the toilet.
Speaking of public safety and legislation, the headliner topic in Tucker’s opening monologue was the bill in the Congress that would award a raft of rights to illegal aliens, including violent criminals. It’s called the New Way Forward Act, aka HB-5383 and is posted on the Congressional website where you can read it for yourself.
The bill is a horror show of protecting foreign criminals while endangering citizens and is sponsored by 44 House Democrats. If the Mexican drug cartels could write a bill, this would be the one. It makes you wonder about some of the lobbyists in Washington, as well as the Dem lawmakers.

At this moment there is a bill pending in Congress called the New Way Forward Act. It’s received almost no publicity, which is unfortunate as well as revealing.
The legislation is sponsored by 44 House Democrats, including Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York. At roughly 4,400 words, it’s almost exactly as long as the U.S. Constitution.
Like the Constitution, this legislation is designed to create a whole new country. The bill would entirely remake our immigration system, with the explicit purpose of ensuring that criminals are able to move here, and settle here permanently, with impunity.
You may think we’re exaggerating for effect. We’re not – not even a little.
The New Way Forward act is the most radical single piece of legislation we’ve seen proposed in this country. It makes the Green New Deal look like the status quo.
A document produced by Democrats to promote the bill says: “Convictions … should not lead to deportation.”
Keep in mind, we’re not talking about convictions for double parking. The bill targets felony convictions – serious crimes that send you to prison for years. A press release from Rep. Jesus Garcia, D-Ill., is explicit about this.
Garcia brags that the bill will break the “prison-to-deportation pipeline.” How does the bill do that? Under current U.S. law, legal U.S. immigrants can be deported if they commit an “aggravated felony” or a “crime of moral turpitude” – that is, a vile, depraved act, like molesting a child.
Under the New Way Forward Act, “crimes of moral turpitude” are eliminated entirely as a justification for deportation. And the category of “aggravated felony” gets circumscribed too.
What does that mean?
Consider this: Under current law, immigrants who commit serious crimes – such as robbery, fraud, or child sexual abuse – must be deported, regardless of the sentence they receive. Other crimes – less severe ones like racketeering – require deportation as long as the perpetrator receives at least a one-year sentence.
But if this bill passes the House and Senate and is signed into law by the president, there will no longer be any crimes that automatically require deportation. None.
And one crime – falsifying a passport – will be made immune from deportation, no matter what. Because apparently 9/11 never happened, and we no longer care about fake government documents.
If you just renewed your driver’s license to comply with the Real ID Act, you must feel like an idiot. Under the proposed legislation, the minimum prison sentence for crimes that still require deportation would rise from one year to five.
We checked the Bureau of Justice Statistics. According to federal data, crimes like car theft, fraud, and weapons offenses all carry average prison sentences of fewer than five years. And that’s just looking at averages. There are people who commit rape, child abuse and even manslaughter and receive sentences of fewer than five years. Lots of them.
If the New Way Forward Act becomes law, immigrants who commit those crimes and receive those sentences would remain in the country. They’ll all be eligible for citizenship one day, too.
But even that is understating the law’s effect. Even a five-year prison sentence won’t necessarily be enough to secure deportation. The bill would grant sweeping new powers to immigration judges, allowing them to nullify a deportation order.
The only requirement is that “the immigration judge finds such an exercise of discretion appropriate in pursuit of humanitarian purposes, to assure family unity, or when it is otherwise in the public interest.” In other words, anti-American immigration judges – and many of them are exactly that – would have a blank check to open the borders. No vote required.
Sound shocking to you? We’re just getting started. Current U.S. law makes drug addiction grounds for deportation, because why wouldn’t it? This bill would eliminate that statute.
Current law also states that those who have committed drug crimes abroad, or any “crimes involving moral turpitude,” are ineligible to immigrate here. The New Way Forward Act abolishes that statute.
A Mexican drug cartel leader could be released from prison, then freely come to America immediately. And if he wants, he could come here illegally, and it wouldn’t be a crime – because, and you were waiting for this, the bill also decriminalizes illegal entry into America, even by those previously deported.
According to a document promoting the bill, criminalizing illegal entry into America is “white supremacist.”
By this point, you’re beginning to wonder if we’re making this up. We’re not. In fact, we’re barely halfway through the bill.
The legislation doesn’t just make it harder to deport illegal immigrants who commit crimes. It doesn’t just make it easier for criminals to legally move here. The bill would also effectively abolish all existing enforcement against illegal immigration.
To detain illegal immigrants, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would have to prove in court that the illegal immigrants are dangerous or a flight risk. But of course, ICE wouldn’t be allowed to use a detainee’s prior criminal behavior as proof he or she is dangerous. That’s banned.
ICE would have to overcome even more hurdles if the detainee claims to be gay or transgender, under 21, or can’t speak English and an interpreter isn’t immediately available.
In other words, it would be much harder to arrest an illegal alien than it is to arrest you. They’re the protected class here. You’re just some loser who’s paying for it all.
But believe it or not, we saved the nuttiest part for last. What could be more destructive than changing U.S. law, specifically to allow rapists, child molesters, and drug dealers to stay in America? How about this: Using taxpayer money to bring deported criminals back into America.
That’s right. This bill would not only abolish your right to control who lives in your own country, but it invents a new right in return: the “right to come home.”
The bill orders the government to create a “pathway for those previously deported to apply to return to their homes and families in the United States,” as long as they would have been eligible to stay under the new law.
The Department of Homeland Security must spend taxpayer dollars transporting convicted criminal illegal aliens into the United States. Who will be eligible for these free flights? Tens of thousands of people kicked out of this country for all kinds of crimes. Sexual abuse. Robbery. Assault. Drug trafficking, weapons trafficking, human trafficking.
From 2002 to 2018, 480,000 people were deported for illegal entry or reentry into America. And under this bill, you’d have to buy them all a plane ticket to come back. The tickets alone would cost about a billion dollars, and that’s before Democrats make you start paying for these criminals’ free health care, too. Which they plan to.
The New Way Forward Act fundamentally inverts every assumption you have about America. Under this legislation, the criminals are the victims. Law enforcement is illegitimate. It’s racist, just like the country you live in, and the only solution is to get rid of both. America would be better off as a borderless rest area for the world’s worst predators and parasites.
This is a big deal. It’s hard to believe any American would put these ideas on paper, much less pass them into law. Yet, remarkably, the press has ignored it. Scores of Democrats have backed it, but the bill hasn’t been mentioned in The New York Times, or on CNN, or even in self-described conservative outlets like National Review.
If a lone Republican state legislator from Minot, N.D., had proposed a bill this extreme, that would remake America this completely, the president himself would be expected to answer for it.
CNN would demand the president “disavow,” even if he knew nothing about it. But when one-fifth of the Democratic caucus backs a bill demanding that you pay to import illegal alien felons, it’s a non-event in American media. They don’t think you should know about it. That’s dangerous.
Whether the press cares or not, these are the stakes of the 2020 election. A growing wing of the Democratic Party views America as essentially illegitimate – a rogue state, in which everything must be destroyed and remade: our laws, our institutions, our freedoms, our history and our values. That’s the point of all this, of course. An entirely new country, in which resistance is crushed, and they’re in charge forever.

Recently, we concerned citizens learned that the Somalia-born representative of Minnesota’s 5th District in Minneapolis, Ilhan Omar, had attracted the interest of several federal agencies to investigate her for an assortment of offenses, including perjury, immigration fraud, tax fraud, student loan fraud and possibly bigamy.
Most of those crimes all sound like jail time to non-lawyer me, but an actual immigration lawyer recently wrote that it’s more likely she might have her US citizenship removed or be deported.
Of course, the ideal outcome would be for the scheming America hater to do some hard time in the joint, followed by a one-way trip home — win, win. But permanent removal in the near future would be an acceptable consolation prize for patriotic Americans.
The immigration lawyer examines a substantial list of questions about Omar’s background that has “more questions than answers” — and it’s curious that a well known public figure has so many mysteries about her background and identity.

]]>Why Criminal Prosecution Might Be The Least Of Ilhan Omar’s Legal Concerns, The Federalist, by Matthew Kolken, January 21, 2020
Rep. Ilhan Omar needs competent immigration counsel to ensure that there is no threat of her losing her citizenship, or, worse, deportation.
The Department of Justice has reportedly assigned an FBI special agent to work with Immigration and Customs and Enforcement and the Department of Education Inspector General Charge to investigate Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) for alleged criminal violations relating to perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, state and federal tax fraud, federal student loan fraud, and bigamy.
As an immigration lawyer, the very first question that came to mind when I read these reports was what immigration consequences, if any, could attach in the event that any of the above allegations are proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. My analysis, unfortunately, has resulted in more unanswerable questions than definitive answers.
My analysis started with the fact that it is widely known Omar was born in Somalia, and immigrated to the United States as a Somali refugee. At some point after her admission to the country, she obtained U.S. citizenship. The Associated Press reported on November 5, 2009, that Omar fled Somalia to a refugee camp in Kenya with her family in 1991. She ultimately immigrated to the United States as a refugee in 1995.
If this report is correct, the analysis is fairly straightforward. Generally speaking, U.S. immigration law permits refugees to apply for permanent residence, commonly known as a “green card,” one-year after arrival. Five years after holding a green card, refugees may then apply to become a citizen through a process called naturalization.
Naturalization applicants must show they meet residency requirements, and have good moral character. It was reported that Omar became a citizen in 2000, five years after her arrival, at the age of 17.
This last detail is important, and is where things start to get murky. If Omar became a U.S. citizen at the age of 17, she must have obtained it through automatic acquisition after the naturalization of at least one of her parents. Omar would not have been able to apply for citizenship on her own because individuals are ineligible to apply for naturalization until age 18.
Here is where it gets really complicated. The requirements for automatic acquisition have changed several times throughout the last century. The marital status of Omar’s parents would determine whether she could have acquired citizenship. I have no details about their marital status to be able to determine if these legal requirements were fulfilled.
However, if Omar did not have to apply for naturalization, it could eliminate one possible crime that she could be charged with: knowingly giving false information in furtherance of an application for citizenship. A conviction for this crime would lead to her denaturalization, resulting in the loss of citizenship, and the institution of removal proceedings to deport her.
But the analysis doesn’t stop there. For Omar to have automatically acquired citizenship, she must also have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence, and there are reports questioning the legality of her admission as a refugee.
David Steinberg has covered the Omar saga for several years and has openly questioned whether she is who she says she is. Steinberg has alleged that Omar assumed her name from an unrelated family that was being granted refugee status. Although I have no way to independently assess the veracity of this report, there is circumstantial evidence that this type of immigration fraud was rampant in the circumstances under which Omar was admitted to the United States.
Specifically, in 2009 the Obama administration assessed the viability of re-employing a Bush-era pilot program that unearthed widespread immigration fraud. It found that as many as 87 percent of applications claiming familial relationship were fraudulent. If the reports are ultimately found true, the immigration consequences would be severe, including loss of citizenship and the institution of removal proceedings. Moreover, there may be no defenses to removal in an immigration court setting to stop her deportation. (Continues)

But her behavior goes beyond mere rudeness to the United States — her apparent criminal activity is plentiful and diverse. Fox News reported on Thursday that she is being investigated by several federal agencies for various scams and assorted lawbreaking:

He’s the father of her three children who she religiously married in 2002, separated from in 2008, then legally married him in 2018 before legally divorcing him.
Omar calls the allegations baseless yet refuses and has four months to answer questions or turn over any documents, though soon she may be compelled to turn over those documents and answer questions.

Refugee resettlement costs the taxpayers $1.8 billion annually, according to a study published by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) in 2018. So less is better for everyone, particularly in the home countries which could benefit greatly from reformist movements rather than citizens who dream of escaping rather than fixing the place.
Tucker Carlson recently discussed the Republican governors who succumbed to the pleas of resettlement moochers and actually have requested more refugees for their states — bad craziness!

TUCKER CARLSON: If you remember that far back, during President Barack Obama’s second term, Republican leaders in the Congress made a big show of opposing the Obama administration’s refugee policy. Obama wanted to settle tens of thousands of refugees who had fled Syria’s civil war in the United States, and at the time 25 Republican governors demanded the right to keep them out. Now the left accused them of Racism! of course but there are good reasons to take the position they did.
For example, properly vetting refugees is really hard, often it’s impossible. Some of the refugees, they pointed out, might not even be Syrian. That was true for sure in Europe with the refugees. Some of them might be Islamic extremists, but terrorism was not the only worry they had.
America’s middle class is in decline. We already have more than 20 million illegal immigrants living here. The last thing many struggling communities need is more low skilled migrants who may be great people but need a lot — stress the schools and the social programs, while not fully integrated.
That’s just true, and anyone who lives in a community where it’s happened will tell you that it’s true.
As with illegal immigration, a long-term agenda of refugee resettlement is to bring in future Democratic voters — obviously — so before she became the most anti-American member of Congress, Ilhan Omar was a refugee.
So at the time the Republican governors got their wish, and President Trump won the 2016 election. In 2019 he issued an executive order allowing cities and states to opt out of refugee resettlement —that’s the last time we checked in on this story.
Here’s the amazing part — for some reason no Republican governors are taking advantage of that. Instead — you probably didn’t read this in the New York Times — but 18 Republican governors have explicitly requested that more refugees be sent to their states.
Have their voters demanded this? No, so what’s going on here?

I mean again you pointed out that Trump gave them a strong backstop back in September and said you can opt out of this with his executive order and now you have these 18 Republican governors saying no, we want more, and they’re saying well we’re following our hearts, this is Christian charity in action.
I got to say this, Tucker, as a active devout evangelical Christian, refugee resettlement has nothing to do with Christianity and has everything to do with the immoral behavior of these governors and quite frankly a perverse incentive for these government funded charities that are acting as refugee contractors, grifting off the American taxpayer.
Michelle Malkin’s written about some of this, but the US State Department is paying these refugee contractors over $2100 per refugee of which they get to keep 45 percent, and then they’re doing this this campaign on these governors saying you have to put your Christian charity into action, and in an act of cowardice, most of these governors from red states are giving in to this. A total of 17 Republican governors thus far have approved more refugee resettlement for their states, along with five Democrat governors who govern red states.
For Fiscal Year 2020, President Donald Trump will continue cutting refugee admissions by reducing former President Barack Obama’s refugee inflow by at least 80 percent. This reduction would mean a maximum of 18,000 refugees can be resettled in the U.S. between October 1, 2019, and September 30, 2020. This is merely a numerical limit and not a goal federal officials are supposed to reach.
Coupled with the refugee reduction, Trump signed an executive order that gives localities, counties, and states veto power over whether they want to resettle refugees in their communities.
To date, these Republican governors in 17 states have asked the Trump administration to continue resettling refugees in their states:

RYUN: Oh, absolutely. I think with every passing day, Nancy Pelosi is really Speaker in name only. The inmates have taken over the asylum, which isn’t really that surprising, Tucker.
The parasitic far left has been eating the Democratic Party from within for years, and now it’s coming to the surface. And you’re right, they are an amazing blend of ignorance and petulance and stupidity and hatred.
I mean, the fact that they’re selling shirts for $19.99, to which I say, knock yourselves out, since Nancy Pelosi announced impeachment, Trump has raised $13 million for his re-elect.
But then you have Adam Schiff out there deciding that the chairmanship of the House Intel Committee is now platform for parody. It’s pretty amazing to watch.
The thing that’s crazy to me is Dems are willing to destroy all of these norms because orange man bad. If you think about what’s taken place over the last two and a half years, Russia-gate, collusion, Ukraine-gate — all of this stuff. It’s about one thing, Tucker. It’s about policy differences.
They cannot stand the fact that they are not in power and that Trump has a different approach to governing, not only domestically, but on foreign policy as well. And so now their new approach in all of this — we shall impeach all things. We will impeach Kavanaugh. We will impeach Trump. Based off what? Nothing. Policy differences.
CARLSON: So you’ve got to kind of wonder once these people take full control, formal control of the party and that’s only a cycle or two away —
RYUN: That’s right.
CARLSON: Do people like Adam Schiff really believe they’re going to continue to run committees? I mean, what does it mean, at least for Adam Schiff?
RYUN: No, no, no, the amazing part is, if you study history, these revolutions have a way of eating themselves, just look at the French Revolution and Robespierre.
So I think they’re going to start to realize this will eat — they’ll start eating each other. But as you go down this path, I think they are — it shows how deranged they are. Look at the impeachment polls this week in the midst of all of this hysteria about Ukraine-gate, POLITICO/Morning Consult only showed 36 percent of the American people supporting impeachment of Trump.
And if you get into the heartland, where I grew up, Tucker, impeachment dropped to the low 20s, and you start to think about how stupid they are when you get to the swing districts of Oklahoma 5 and Illinois 14, which are real pickup opportunities for the GOP in 2020. They’re going to make those members watch walk the impeachment plank and lose the majority, I really do think so in 2020 if they continue to push this because I think impeaching Trump is a fool’s errand being pushed by fools.

Along with the conquering comes the idea of Islamic superiority even though their societies are basket cases.
Omar seems to share the attitude of superiority, apparent in her disrespect for western law and culture. Born in Somalia, she lived with her family in a Kenya camp until the US rescued them as refugees in the mid-1990s, although there is evidence she entered by claiming relation to persons who were not her family. She apparently married her brother so he could scam his way into America. After so much generosity, Omar complains about the nation that rescued her and says living here is “an everyday assault.”
She can’t even be bothered to follow the laws of the Congress to which she was elected — unimportant infidel details, she may think.

]]>TUCKER CARLSON: Congressman Ilhan Omar is back in the news again. In newly released divorce papers, a claim has made that she has had a long term affair with a political consultant — her political consultant named Tim Mynett.
A new complaint says Omar’s involvement with Mynett may have violated campaign finance laws. Peter Flaherty is Chairman of the National Legal and Policy Center, and he joins us tonight. Peter, thanks very much for coming on.
PETER FLAHERTY: Good evening.
CARLSON: So typically, we don’t jump into people personal lives because, it’s kind of no one’s business, I think. But in this specific case, you have an allegation that a relationship like this could violate the law. How would that work?
FLAHERTY: Well, the problem here is that private actions may have resulted in violations of the law, the Federal Election Campaign Act. And in this case, you have Representative Ilhan Omar’s campaign paying for the travel of a political consultant with which it’s alleged that Representative Omar is having an affair.
Now, that opens the possibility that campaign funds are being used for personal purposes, which is strictly prohibited. And it has ended the careers of many of a politician.
You know, Representative Duncan Hunter, Republican from San Diego, he may be on his way to jail for using campaign funds for personal uses, including facilitating extramarital affairs.
CARLSON: Interesting. So what would you need to show that?
FLAHERTY: Well, we’ve asked for an investigation by the Federal Election Commission. These are violations of Election Law. If they’re willful, it’s possible it could trigger an investigation by the Justice Department and we do hope that takes place.
But in our complaint, we cited two things. Number one, the failure to itemize travel by this consultant named Tim Mynett. The Federal Election Commission regulations are very specific about travel. If you have to report as individual disbursements any amount over $200 in the aggregate, you know, your hotel, your airfare, whatever.
But Omar on a report simply reported lump sum payments to an LLC owned by Mynett, which is a clear violation. Now that sounds technical, and it sounds a little nitpicking, but as an ethics group, we always look for technical violations in hopes of finding out the more serious improper activity that they are calculated to conceal.
CARLSON: Sure. The stuff hangs on technicalities. I mean, that’s what it is. It’s an accumulation of technical violations. So, Omar, in addition to being I would say, ideologically on the wrong side, seems very sleazy.
I mean, every time you press a little bit into her personal life, you can’t get a straight answer. There seems to be quite a bit of deception. That may not even be your real name. FLAHERTY: Well, I understand today that she denied everything. And that was curious to us because the violations about reporting the travel, they are straightforward, unambiguous violations and any election law expert would tell you that.
Now the more serious matter of whether she was having an affair with Tim Mynett, and used campaign funds to facilitate his traveling around the country with her. Well, we can’t state that we know that conclusively. But we’re saying that there’s enough circumstantial evidence for the FEC to launch an investigation, and we hope they do.

]]>TUCKER CARLSON: In a resurfaced interview from 2018, Ilhan Omar told Al Jazeera that America ought to engage in racial profiling of white men, whom she blamed for, quote, “Most of the deaths within this country.”
ILHAN OMAR: I would say our country should be more fearful of white man across our country because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country. We should be profiling, monitoring and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men.
CARLSON: In the same interview, Omar said America shouldn’t worry about young Muslims leaving her state of Minnesota to fight for ISIS or Al-Shabaab. The real — I’m not making this up, I’ve got to pause right here, because we’re not making this up. It’s hard to believe, but we’re actually not, this is real.
Omar said the real concern was the rhetoric of local politicians, which apparently drove these young terrorists into terrorism. In short, Ilhan Omar is a lunatic, an embarrassing blight on American politics, but hopefully, one that will eventually pass.
Recently, the group Judicial Watch filed a formal ethics complaint against Omar. The group requested a full investigation into matters that include potential tax fraud, marriage fraud, and immigration fraud, as well as perjury. Tom Fitton is the President of Judicial Watch, and he joins us tonight. Tom, thanks for coming on. What are you hoping to find from Congresswoman Omar?
TOM FITTON: Well, whether she’s a crook or not. The House Ethics Committee needs to begin the process of figuring out whether the strong evidence of marriage and other criminal activity or marriage fraud and other criminal activity is accurate, in terms of she did it.
And you know, we’ve had Powerline blog, and you’ve had them on talking about their comprehensive investigation. Her left-wing hometown newspaper has basically said these allegations are out there, she hasn’t disproven them, and has raised more questions than answers. And it’s about time for the House Ethics process to begin to work.
Now, I say that knowing that the House Ethics Committee is split evenly between Democrats and Republicans, but the American people are probably going to want the House to make sure that Ms. Omar, who may have committed marriage fraud by marrying her brother, and then we know for sure that she was signing incorrect tax returns. So, the extent of the criminality needs to be explored.
And the House needs to do it. But the Justice Department, the Department of Homeland Security and the IRS need to do something as well. This is — you know, she has been protected from this scandal by the big media for a long time. And you know, we’ve got to lift that protection. She is not above the law, you know, and this isn’t about her crazy socialism and her anti-American statements. This is about whether she just follows the basic rules that other Americans would be subject to severe scrutiny over if they were seen to be breaking them.
CARLSON: Some scrutiny. I mean, she’s credibly accused of coming here to this country under a false identity, marrying her brother. Clearly she lied about it. I’m just going to say that flatly. She lied about it. She said she was married in her faith tradition, she wasn’t. She was married by a Christian Minister.
FITTON: Right.
CARLSON: And then credibly accused of committing perjury and lying about all of it. So, why isn’t the administration just honest with both feet? Because people are afraid to be called racist? Is that what it’s about?
FITTON: You know, I don’t know, maybe the Justice Department is doing an investigation they are not telling us about.
CARLSON: I hope so.
FITTON: But go back to your first point. We’re not even sure Omar is her real name.
CARLSON: Exactly.
FITTON: That’s how crazy this is and you know — and I’ve been doing this for 20 plus years. And this is about the most significant congressional scandal by a member that I’m aware of — you have to go back to Traficant, I think back in Ohio to come up with something so far out.
But in terms of the scope of the potential criminality, this is pretty significant. And the question is that, if this doesn’t go forward, it’s probably going to be because Democrats are protecting her. And so you know, they tell us today at the Mueller hearing, because we know they don’t believe it that no one is above the law. The question for the House Democrats is Ms. Omar above the law?
CARLSON: Right. They said that today. They said that today. But of course, that’s the one thing they mean least of all.
FITTON: That’s right.
CARLSON: Because they’ve got a whole bunch of people they believe are above the law. Tom Fitton. Appreciate it. Good to see you tonight.

The Minnesota Democrat is clearly not the sort of person we want in the US Congress. She hates America, the nation that rescued her from failed state Somalia when she was 10. In a March interview in Vogue Arabia (!), she said that living in Trump’s America is an “everyday assault.”
Interestingly, the title of the Vogue interview is Ilhan Omar: “To Me, the Hijab Means Power, Liberation, Beauty, and Resistance” which indicates that she is a full tilt sharia muslim.
By supporting Islamic dress codes for women, Omar has become a fashion icon for misogynous sharia proponents as well as a well known anti-American figure in the US Congress.
My only criticism of Tucker’s remarks is that he failed to mention Omar’s sharia Islam ideology — that’s the reason she hates America, not because she is a black African. Islam is not a race, despite the predictable condemnations from the press based on that overused subject.
]]>TUCKER CARLSON: The Democratic candidates for President are on the road this week telling voters that the United States is an awful country. “America’s institutions are built on white supremacy,” squeaked Beto O’Rourke in an event yesterday.
Of all the lies these people tell — and there are many — this is the most absurd. In fact, the United States is the kindest, most open-minded place on the planet. The U.S. has done more for other people and received less in return than any nation in history by far.
Americans like to help. It makes us feel good. Some of our deepest satisfaction as a country comes from watching penniless immigrants arrive on our shores, buy into our values and thrive. We call it the American Dream and nothing makes us prouder.
It was in that spirit that in 1992, the United States welcomed 10-year-old Ilhan Omar and her family. Omar was born in Somalia, one of the world’s poorest countries. It was then ruled by a Marxist military dictatorship. When Omar was six, she and her parents and their six siblings fled a worsening civil war and wound up in a refugee camp in Kenya. They spent four years there until America offered the family asylum here and let them settle in Minneapolis.
Omar’s father drove a taxi at first then got a job at the Post Office working for the government. Omar, meanwhile, grew up free in the world’s richest country with all the bounty that that implies.
She became a citizen, then went to work for the State University. A few years later, she became a Member of Congress elected by voters who are proud to see an immigrant succeed.
Omar is now at the age of only 36, one of the most powerful women in America. It’s an amazing story really. Only in this country could it have happened.
Ilhan Omar has an awful lot to be grateful for, but she isn’t grateful. Not at all. After everything America has done for Omar and for her family, she hates this country more than ever.
In a recent piece in “The Washington Post,” the reporter put it this way, quote, “In Omar’s version, America isn’t the big hearted country that saved her from a brutal war and a bleak refugee camp. It wasn’t a meritocracy that helped her attend college or vaulted her into Congress. Instead, it was the country that had failed to live up to its founding ideals, a place that had disappointed her and so many immigrants, refugees and minorities like her,” end quote.
If anything, that’s an understatement. Omar isn’t disappointed in America, she is enraged by it. Virtually every public statement she makes accuses Americans of bigotry and racism.
“This is an immoral country,” she says. She has undisguised contempt for the United States and for its people. That should worry you and not just because Omar is now a sitting Member of Congress.
Ilhan Omar is living proof that the way we practice immigration has become dangerous to this country. A system designed to strengthen America is instead undermining it. Some of the very people we try hardest to help have come to hate us passionately.
Maybe that’s our fault for asking too little of our immigrants. We aren’t self-confident enough to make them assimilate so they never feel fully American. Or maybe the problem is deeper than that. Maybe we’re importing people from places whose values are simply in antithetical to ours. Who knows what the problem is, but there is a problem and whatever the cause, this cannot continue. It’s not sustainable.
No country can import large numbers of people who hate it and expect to survive. The Romans were the last to try that with predictable results.
So be grateful for Ilhan Omar, annoying as she is. She’s a living fire alarm, a warning to the rest of us we better change our immigration system immediately. Or else.

Voters continue to believe the U.S. immigration system is broken and still tend to favor shifting to the skills-based system that President Trump is proposing.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 55% of Likely U.S. Voters agree with Senator Lindsey Graham’s assessment last week that “we have a perfect storm brewing at the border because of a series of broken and outdated laws related to asylum and children.”
Tucker Carlson recently presented some observations about “merit” as a value in immigration after the Democrats had the predictable reaction of squawking “Racist!” at the president for common sense. Rep. Maxine Waters reflexively described the Trump immigration policy as “very racist” last week for requiring knowledge of English among newbies.
Some noticed that the Trump plan contained no overall reduction of immigrant numbers — something strongly indicated by the anemic wage growth among US workers. NumbersUSA released a video on May 6 expressing the worker viewpoint:

Nearly all of that growth has occurred in the Third World which is now happy to send its excess people to America’s open border — remittances to follow, bringing billions of dollars to alien-sending countries south of the border and beyond.

]]>TUCKER CARLSON: Good evening, and welcome to “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” This week, the Trump administration revealed its proposal to overhaul America’s immigration system. The proposal would not by itself build the often promised wall on our southern border, nor would it cut current levels of immigration despite the fact that most Americans would like to see that happen.
The one big thing the administration’s proposal would do is give priority to immigrants who might actually help America — skilled workers with English proficiency. It’s hard to see an argument against a system like that — there isn’t really an argument against that system.
For years, Democrats have argued that immigrants make vital additions to our economy. They’re smarter than we are, they’re harder working, they do better in school. They found more companies.
Well, the President has decided to take Democrats at their word; he says he wants all of those good things that immigrants bring. Watch:
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: We want immigrants coming in, we cherish the open door that we want to create for our country. But a big proportion of those immigrants must come in through merit and skill.
CARLSON: Well, much of the world would move here if they could — hundreds and hundreds of millions of people. So why wouldn’t we pick the absolute best immigrants with skills in English who would fit in better here, their kids would do better in school, they’d be more likely to contribute to social programs instead of draining them.
So are Democrats rejoicing in this change? Of course not. They’re outraged. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke for the party when she declared that really merit is a bad word because everybody has merit:
REP. NANCY PELOSI: I want to just say something about the word that they use, “merit.” It is really a condescending word. Are they saying family is without merit? Are they saying most of the people who have ever come to the United States in the history of our country are without merit, because they don’t have an engineering degree?
Certainly, we want to attract the best to our country and that includes many people from many parts of society.
CARLSON: What a shame we can’t staff the Democratic Caucus in the Congress using the same criteria the Speaker would like to fill our country. “We want to attract the best for many parts of the world,” she says. But of course by that, Pelosi doesn’t mean what she says. She means just the opposite because what exactly is best about immigrants who have criminal records or middle school education, or no ability to hold a job?
The answer is, there’s nothing “best” about that. Immigrants like that might be nice people, but they’re much more likely to burden the United States than to benefit, at least economically. Harvard doesn’t admit students who can’t speak English. It says so right on their website, so why should our country?
The left doesn’t want to answer questions like that or even have the conversation. “Shut up racist.” It is said and is declared that the current system is great. No evidence necessary. Watch this former Obama official make her fact-free case on MSNBC yesterday:
RUTGERS ECONOMICS PROFESSOR JENNIFER HUNT: What’s less obvious is that medium and even the least-skilled immigrants also contribute to the U.S. economy. They come in and they do different things for natives and they allow everyone to specialize more in what they’re doing best.
It’s that contribution of the unskilled immigrants that I think people overlook when they really push the so-called merit-based or as it is called in other countries, the point system.
CARLSON: So what Professor Hunt and so many on the left, including the Speaker of the House are arguing for is a feudal system where foreign-born worker bees toil to support a smug and pampered managerial class, of which they of course are part.
There’s no other explanation for our current policies. We don’t need more low-skilled workers in the United States, we have plenty of low skilled workers. Their unemployment rate is higher than the national average. Their wage growth has been abysmal for decades — generations. So how do those workers benefit from having more competition? Of course they don’t.
How does the country benefit by having more low-skilled workers when technological changes may soon render millions of them permanently jobless? The answer, of course is that we won’t benefit.
But for the left, whether the country benefits is not the point. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar herself a symbol of America’s failed immigration system, if there ever was one; someone who hates this country coming here at public expense, spent yesterday demanding the abolition of ICE, the decriminalization of illegal immigration itself and an end to all deportation programs.
She demands open borders, the unlimited arrival of anyone who wants to come to America whether they have anything to contribute or not. And by the way, you get to pay for it. And if you don’t want to, you’re a bigot.
You know what this is really about, of course, it’s not about civil rights. It’s a joke. It’s about money and power — their money, their power.
The left has aligned with business interests that profit from cheap, obedient workers. Low-skilled immigrants have a harder time assimilating into the American mainstream. They stay poor. They learn English more slowly. They’re more likely to remain an ethnic underclass, all of which makes them much more likely to vote Democratic long term. That’s the point, obviously.
Skilled immigrants might assimilate and become less reliable Democratic voters. They might even compete with the children of our ruling class. That’s not allowed. It’s safer to import serfs, and that’s exactly what they’re doing. Don’t let them tell you, it’s about civil rights, it’s not; it’s about their convenience and their power.

The Quran contains at least 109 verses that speak of war with nonbelievers, usually on the basis of their status as non-Muslims. Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding. Unfortunately, Washington has inflicted this poison on America, where it was unknown until recently. Most muslim residents of the US (or their parents) got here via immigration, although there are a few converts. One paper estimates that the muslim population of the United States in 1951 was just 200,000 while today there are millions, a demographic change aided by diversity-admiring pro-immigration politicians, like Barack Obama.

Disturbing footage of Muslim kids saying they would sacrifice themselves and kill for the “army of Allah” surfaced from an Islamic center in Philadelphia.
The Muslim American Society (MAS) Islamic Center in Philadelphia posted the video to its Facebook page celebrating “Ummah Day” in which young children wearing Palestinian scarves sang and read poetry about killing for Allah and the mosque in Jerusalem.
The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), a watchdog group, alerted Fox News to the video.
“These are not isolated incidents; they are happening in major centers of the country – including in Pennsylvania,” MEMRI said in a statement.
In the video, translated by MEMRI, kids can be heard singing: “The land of the Prophet Muhammad’s Night Journey is calling us. Our Palestine must return to us.”
One girl talks about martyrs sacrificing their lives without hesitation to conquer Jerusalem.
“We will defend the land of divine guidance with our bodies, and we will sacrifice our souls without hesitation,” a second girl says. “We will chop off their heads, and we will liberate the sorrowful and exalted Al-Aqsa Mosque. We will lead the army of Allah fulfilling His promise, and we will subject them to eternal torture.”
